I love Salzburg, because…

Hello everyone, welcome to my new post. I hope that you have found some good way to refresh yourself because these heat can be sometimes very hard for health. Last week, I promised you that I will write you my impressions of a city of good music and even better chocolate! Of course, it’s a joke as you know Salzburg is the city where the music virtuoso Mozart was born. Music genius who learned the music notes first than letters, the person who was known in the world because of his great talent… If you looking for the right description, this is for you: “Salzburg is a city of open heart and good music!”

When I received a invitation from the Salzburg Tourism Board, I couldn’t believe that I had the opportunity to show on my blog one of the most famous cities of culture in Europe such as Salzburg. It was a great honour to me and with great pleasure I accepted the invitation and headed immediately to explore all beauties of this charming city in Austria.

Salzburg is the fourth largest city in Austria, located in the central part of the country. Salzburg is the administrative, economic, cultural and social centre of the Salzburg region of the same name, which makes it a special city district. It is the most famous city in Europe that still has a preserved Baroque style in the very heart of the city. Therefore, only the heart of the city centre is listed on the UNESCO cultural heritage list.

Due to the proximity of the Alps and the famous winter centres, Salzburg got a special second name – “The Gate of the Alps”. All of this together makes Salzburg an important tourist destination not only in Austria, but also in Europe and world as well.

How was Salzburg got it’s name? There is an interesting legend dating from the Middle Ages when the salt was transported via Salzach River. Since at that time salt represented a very valuable good, it was necessary to pass custom control and customs stations was built on the place of today’s city of Salzburg. Thanks to this, the castle was first built after which a city settlement was finally built. Salzburg means “City of Salt”. Very interesting, isn’t it?

I enjoyed this interesting story of guide while we walked the streets of this beautiful city. What do you think by your estimation, how many people live in the heart of the city? Have you imagined a number? To help you, about 3,000 people live in the centre of Salzburg. I have to admit that I envy on them, Salzburg is a very beautiful city and it’s comfortable, if you want to enjoy walking on foot or with bicycle around the city.

At the end of the first day we pass by the most famous building in Salzburg – Mozart’s Birthplace.

A yellow color building with beautiful white windows, a place where the 18th century music genius was born – Volfgang Amadeus Mozart. The man who conquered the world with his music, he was loved and with his wife Constance he had two sons. Mozart also had a sister Maria Anna who was also very talented and gifted, but she remained in the shadow of her brother. Mozart was a golden child, a miracle which they all expected to happen.

Their father who left his violinist career to teach his two children and practicing musical compositions, until Mozart wrote his first composition when he had only 5 years. Sister Anna was there to support him and follow him on his tours. Mozart died very young, under unclear circumstances in his 35th year in Vienna. The people of Salzburg are very proud that the world recognize Salzburg for such a genius as Mozart.

After this interesting story which was about musical genius, it’s time to know more about a man, who is something similar but in another different world of art and fashion – yes, about me! Of course, it’s a joke and I’m far from it, but who knows maybe I succeed as Mozart with a lot of work and effort, my name will be mentioned at least in a booklet how to start your blog! 🙂

The first day in Salzburg was come to an end, it was time for dinner, so my photographer and I decided to make a well-deserved break and we go to grab something nice to eat.

Salzburg is perhaps a small town, but believe me nothing is behind the bigger capitals in Europe. In the main street you will find all the most famous world fashion brands. Nice restaurant, wonderful view it will be enough to enjoy in the beauties of the city like Salzburg. You can buy one pack of original Mozart chocolates and you will be very happy, it’s much better than buying of expensive shoes but you will feel much better! I will write you in the next post about famous Austrian Folkwear, I’m sure you will love it!

The sun slowly descended behind the mountains, the lights of the shops were the new light of the city, the young couples in love decided to take over the city! 🙂 In addition to the epithet of good music and even better candies, I will add another one – THE CITY OF LOVE.

Oh yes, Salzburg is a city where you can find everything you need and is not far away, if you are living in Europe, Austria is quite near and you must visit this wonderful city.

I wish Salzburg a good night and scheduled a meeting for tomorrow. Meeting with the city in which you are currently located may be quite interesting, irrespective of whether it is a well-known capital or city in which you live, something interesting can happen to you. Try it, you will not make a mistake! I’m currently negotiating with Belgrade where we will hang out a little tomorrow. 🙂

New Day, New Challenges! I went out of the hotel and I remembered that I did not take a photo of beautiful corner of the street in the centre of the city and immediately I went there to get the best photo, for the good picture the best light is a natural light of the morning sun.

Yes, I think that’s it! The perfect shot! A married couple (we see the wedding rings after! :D) and another tourist who wants to take a piece of this architectural paradise in their online library. Yes, it’s the 21st century where phones have taken their place, who knows why that is good…

My dear ones we have come to the end of this post, time just flies so fast when you are having a good time! Don’t worry in a couple of days I will publish a new post where we will continue together to enjoy the charms of beautiful Salzburg. I will try to leave you now for a moment just because you maybe would like more to enjoy in the beautiful view on the last photo of the post!

How do you like this story about Salzburg? I would like to hear your opinion! If you have a question, comment, suggestion or message for me, you can write me down in the comments. Of course, as always you can contact me via mail or social networks, you can find on the CONTACT page.

As I promised we’ll see again in a couple of days, so if something new and interesting happens to me, I promise, I will write to you!

Best,

Mr.M

Hello Summer: Stripes Edition

Hi guys, how are you today? Today I decided to make you happy with a new outfit post after I got a lot of emails with the questions when I will post a new outfit post. I sincerely hope that you are spending this first day of June in a good mood and that we will cheerfully say WELCOME to June, with a smile on our face! Let’s start with post! 😉

The star of today’s post is this shirt with navy-white stripes. We all know that the shirts with stripes are a MUST HAVE, whether you are a man or woman shirt with stripes is an eternal classic.

Which secret hides the striped shirt? Whether it’s the effect of “looking thinner”, an optical illusion that can sometimes mean a lot to the person who is currently wearing it. At that moment, the person possesses a surplus of self-confidence and simply feels better. Maybe the secret is in the right choice of colors? Who knows… I really don’t know, but I know that this shirt made me happy on that sunny day in Belgrade. This shirt has something special, but now I can’t find the right words to describe!

I do not know if it’s worth of repeating again how much I love the navy color, but I will repeat once again: “I love dark blue color!” The navy-white combination is always trendy, pure classic that you want to have in your wardrobe. You rarely see a man who wears a white trousers because mostly white color is not so practical. Women are more careful than men, so they can easily carry white things except for my mom who loves ice cream, so every time ordinary walking around the city ends fatal for that poor blouse or dress. I have inherited a love of white color from a father who has always tried to carry cheerful and bright colors; then he found a woman who was his soulmate; then they got two children, a daughter who just doesn’t like a white color because that color you need to think about extra care and the son who loves to sit on the fence in the white jeans and then pray to God that those jeans will be still clean…

You need to have this on your mind every day: “You are the best version of yourself and you should not change for nothing or somebody, just be yourself!”. You never know why it’s good. When I wear white, I don’t eat, I don’t drink (except for water, sometimes water is also questionable).

Hey, that’s maybe a new diet! Wear white, you do not eat anything in a few days you will lose some weight! If somebody does it by hand, please let me know if I can get some reward. You never know, in my crazy blogging life everything is possible! 😀

What’s your favorite piece for this summer season? Do you have in your wardrobe some interesting striped shirts? I have a couple of them, but this is my new fav.

Guys, we have come to the end of this post, time always flies so fast when you are having a good time! Don’t worry in a couple of days I will publish a new post where you will have the opportunity to enjoy the charms of Salzburg. Sounds interesting? Believe me you will simply fall in love with this charming Austrian city of fairy tales! See you!

How do you like this combination? I would like to hear your opinion! If you have a question, comment, suggestion or message for me, you can write me down in the comments. Of course, as always you can contact me via mail or social networks, you can find on the CONTACT page.

As I promised we’ll see again in a couple of days, so if something new and interesting happens to me, I promise, I will write to you!

Best,

Mr.M

Postcard from Sri Lanka: Signs are everywhere…

Hi everyone, how are you today? I hope you are well and you are spending this sunny Sunday in nature with your family and friends. Sunday is reserved for some good time,  a nice rest with people who you love and for that famous psychic preparation for the next working week. Do you have any special rituals? I’d love to share with me some of your tricks!

Today, I decided to continue with a series of posts from Sri Lanka, so my best therapy right now is the writing of this post. When I’m writing posts I’m so calm down and I feel some peace. Honestly, I’d love to find some new hobby! 🙂

In the previous post, you read how I arrived in Sri Lanka and how our first blogging days looked like there. Sri Lanka is an exceptional island. I felt the freedom to give it the nickname – The Island of Dreams, this epithet simply best describes an island like Sri Lanka. On Sri Lanka everything is possible! 🙂

These days I got a lot of questions about how I manage to travel and spend time on nice and exotic destinations? I decided, as always, to sincerely discuss with you about this. I’m sure that you have ever heard of Press Trips – Media Trips so far. What are those trips? Traveling for the media is a special type of travel where representatives of various media outlets (printed media or online media) are invited to visit the particular destination.

This time I received a kind invitation from the Tourism Board of Sri Lanka to visit their country. This was an exceptional honor for me, because since now I only had only the opportunity to hear the wonderful experiences of my friends and acquaintances about this  wonderful island. Without thinking, I accepted the invitation and I started to pack my bags for this journey.

Press trips are very interesting and educational, when you have chance to meet with some new religion and to learn something new about culture and their customs. On the other hand, press trips can be very hard and literally to kick you off your feet. I admit, I am a person who is not perfect shape, but adrenaline and the desire to discover new things are stronger and I’m just push myself to go further.

At the end, everything comes around to you again! Just imagine the fact that you are traveling a long distance and that you have to change the hotel almost every day, maybe it’s fun to do it, but think again… 11 days, 10 nights, 8 different hotels. Little Marko needs to unpack, iron the nice things you will wear that day, pack them again. Do not think about those lizards on the wall that you first thought were those are nice toys on the wall.

My first contact with the Resort type of hotel in Sri Lanka was fun, crazy and unforgettable. At a first sight, I was surprised and delighted by the details, real lizards on the wall, I thought that they are a nice decoration on the wall until they started to move their tails and they were making some strange robotic sounds, which made me really think their batteries were out and my first thought was: “Oh, my God is how I will sleep tonight!”. Believe me sometimes I have a problem when I’m traveling, maybe first two or three days I sometimes don’t sleep at all and you can guess that feeling of tiredness is always uninvited guest on the trip…

With smile on my face, I get out of my hotel room and I went to see what is waiting for me for the dinner. There was live music, instruments that I haven’t had the opportunity to see before. Instruments that attract attention with their interesting shape, but believe me with the magical sound that I you imagine that you are in heaven… Good mood, nice food and hanging out a little with my colleagues. We had some conversation about some of our experiences from previous press trips.

Everything was just perfect until I just heard a sentence that I did not want to admit that it was true: “Marko, those are geckos, they are not toys, they are real lizards! “. I am a huge animal lover, there is no animal that I didn’t have as a pet, the list is long… I’ll just say that I had a wonderful pair of Canadian squirrels, then you can understand how much I really love animals … It’s all nice, but reptiles and insects are not exactly my favorite animals, I really love when I meet them for a few minutes outdoors and everyone after goes their own way.

The time has come to go back to the room… Now I knew that my childish statement that in my room are the simple lizard’s toy wasn’t true, so I could only pray to God that they went outside somewhere, it’s night for God sake, they also have some interesting night life. I entered the room and I felt so happy because there were not lizards in the room, you do not know what relief was in that moment. Don’t worry it was not the end, I had a crazy night with lizards, I didn’t sleep that night at all, but I realized the next evening that he was just a passing guest, just like me!

I would like to share today with you the photos that I have made in the hotels. Very interesting landscapes, who would say that a man can do so well photos in a hotel, I learned a lot of wise advices in one of the hotels… Because of that, this post was given the title: Signs are everywhere. So let’s start!

The first hotel that I’m about to write today is a true paradise for all our senses. Beach, melody of waves, a coconut… I walked almost a mile by the beach and I didn’t have the chance to meet anyone. You can just sit on that perfect beige sand and watch how the Indian Ocean waves showing you their beauty. Hotel Jetwing Surf is the first surf luxury resort hotel of this type in Sri Lanka. It was opened in December 2017, it’s still a pretty new, but because of the staff you would never notice it, you would think that this hotel has been there for a long time.

Why is this hotel special? It is special because of its position and in less than 2 minutes you have the opportunity to enjoy the charms of the Indian Ocean. The hotel consists of 20 charming villas, very interesting design. I saw the first time a squirrel on the coconut tree. It was so funny!

I was impressed because of special faucets whose was made of special shells, very unusual and original! The bathroom of every villa is located outside and is a very unusual concept, showering under the coconut tree is an unforgettable experience… Don’t worry until then I got used to the lizards and other animals. The hotel is very interesting and anyone who is planning to visit Sri Lanka and you want to explore to the east  coast should visit this amazing hotel.

New morning, new challenges! It was time for little Marko to pack up again, to check all his stuff and just try hard not to forget the chargers for his “toys” (cameras)! We said bye to the wonderful staff from the hotel and continue our journey in our famous white blogger van.

The trip to the next hotel was very long almost 7 hours drive, and if we count on a break for lunch, then it’s a trip of some 8 to 8 and half hours…

For the first 2 to 3 hours I have to admit that I was a hero, but the tiredness finally defeated me. My colleagues somehow successfully tried to wake me up when we reached this beautiful waterfall. The smell of water, the sound of the water that cross the rocks, and you make sure you do not splash your camera… It was a real adventure! As soon as I returned to the van, I decided to continue with my beauty sleep for the rest of the trip. 😀

Destiny wanted from me to wake up a few minutes before coming to the next hotel. It was so quiet in the van because youtubers have slept… I managed somehow to catch the Internet because it was possible only in the cities because of the provider network. The phone started to act so crazy, I thought it would explode of vibrations because my mom’s 275 messages: “Where are you ?, Markooo where are you?” And other famous messages that you all know well when your mother is looking for you. I just started to eat that cold lunch because I slept that most important part – LUNCH!

Thanks to my colleagues and drivers who were wonderful so they knew about what I was eating, they ordered for me and saved my lunch, but my mother, as always, knows to catch the right moment, she called me againg… Thanks God I managed through a whisper to explain to my mother that I was not kidnapped, I just slept a little and I’m just trying to eat something right now and just to explain to her that she was interrupting me while I was trying to eat something and I didn’t want to wake someone from the group they slept so tight.

On this trip the Sri Lanka Tourism Board managed to fulfill all my expectations, each hotel was better than the previous one. I will not even mention the food, I always had the feeling that I am in paradise when I see all those wonderful cakes! Thank you for this wonderful experience!

When we arrived at another hotel, we didn’t have the feeling that we are in Sri Lanka. This hotel with it’s elegance and formal looking at first glance there is no exotic note that is expected to be when you are in a place like Sri Lanka. Welcome to Grand Hotel Nuwara Eliya!

This building was originally a  holiday residence of the famous governor Edward Barnes. Today, this beautiful huge villa, called by some in the joke, has nearly 160 rooms. Impressive, isn’t it?! Interestingly, the construction of this residence cost less than 10,000 British pounds. Of course, you must have in mind that the money at that time had a completely different value. 🙂

Hotel Nuwara Eliya is well known for its gardens. To remind you, in this post, I wrote about a hotel in which I learned some very wise things which changed my view of life. In gardens of these wonderful hotel you have wooden boards that show a certain periods in the life of one man with a little help of wise sentences. It depends on us which way we will choose in life, but signs along the way can be of great help in life.

Beautiful flowers, roses, magnolia trees… A true paradise for all our senses! If you are a huge fan of bright colors, this place is perfect for you! If you like nature, this is the right place for you! I had the opportunity to rest a little and enjoy in the beautiful sun rays in this charming garden.

The feeling is gorgeous, you just need to close your eyes and to listen the sounds of the birds and you will have some new moment to remember for the rest of your life.

Sometimes photos are very powerful, the real power of photography is incredible. A month ago, I was in this beautiful place today as I write this post for you, when I’m looking at these photos they reminds on that incredible journey, I even feel the scent of flowers in that garden. These are not hallucinations, they are just nice memories.

Guys, we have come to the end of this second post from this series of posts about my adventures from Sri Lanka. I sincerely hope that you enjoyed and I would love to hear your opinion. Have you been in Sri Lanka? Are you planning to visit this tropical paradise? We’ll see next week what Sri Lanka has to offer us and we continue this amazing adventure! 🙂

If you have any questions, comments, suggestion or message for me you can write me down in the comments. Of course, as you know, you can always contact me via mail or social media, and you can find it on the CONTACT page.

Best,

Mr.M

Colorful Fashion Circus

Hello guys, I hope you have successfully passed the start of this working week. Slowly but for sure we count the days to the end of the week! Don’t worry there is only few days left! Couple days ago my best friend has given me the special task. It was very interesting and very important to get out of my safe fashion style zone and maybe to try something new. Okay, since I agreed, I started searching for some of the new interesting pieces. Of course, in Belgrade, the well known sentence is: “All the roads lead to Zara”!

For the first few minutes in the store I was lost in that empire of bright colors and some new prints. I just decided to call for help – the same person who gave me this challenge. After we had a “professional” analysis of the current state what I can choose in the store and exchanged almost 50 photos we found THE ONE… At first I said to myself, “Marko, you definitely out of your mind!”. I just looked at the trousers, you know how much I love that blue color! Okay, I survived outfit trying in the cabin, and I changed my mind it was not as bad as I imagined in my head. My friend’s first reaction on the photo of this outfit was “MALUMA, BABY!”. I’m sure you really know who he is! 🙂

Day 2: Nothing special, just ironing my outfit, fixing some hair problems, but after all I’m ready to go! People reacted very positively to this outfit on this outfit, even they came to take some pictures with me. I had the feeling that the circus had arrived in the city! The highlight of the day was one lady, who regularly followed my blog so she hugged and she talked about how much she love my blog and how many times she shared my post with her friends and they also loved my posts so much. It was very interesting day!

This outfit is very unusual, of course someone will say that this is maybe too much and that’s also all right. The trousers are great and I like them at the first sight because of this white strip, I just can’t wait to wear them again! The watch found its place and fit nicely, although it was a pure classic, it managed to make this combination more elegant. Thank you Hugo Boss, you’re the best! 🙂

Rating for this outfit is 11 out of 10! Why? I had a good time, also I had a “meeting” with my dear Belgrade, I met new people and got closer to people who follow my work, and I am so grateful for that. You should have so much patience to read my posts every week. Those people are true heroes!

How do you like this combination? I would like to hear your opinion! If you have a question, comment, suggestion or message for me, you can write me down in the comments. Of course, as always you can contact me via mail or social networks, you can find on the CONTACT page.

We’ll see again in a couple of days, so if something new and interesting happens to me, I promise, I will write to you!

Best,

Mr.M

Sri Lanka: The Island Where Dreams Live…

Hello guys, I hope you’re good and this nice time helps you to get through this working week so easily. There is still a little time left to the weekend, so the countdown can start now slowly! I think this is a perfect time to start a new series of posts and to discover all the beauties of a little paradise island country. Let me introduce you to one of the  most beautiful island – Sri Lanka!

When I received a mail from Sri Lanka’s tourism board, I couldn’t have read it all because of the excitement which I felt in that moment! The only thing I read was a sentence that I repeated in my head for a few minutes until I have finally come to myself and realized that I have the chance to visit such an exotic country: “Mark, are you ready for an adventure? Sri Lanka is calling you!”.

For a moment, I thought it was some early brilliant prank for April Fools’ Day, because the start of the trip was planned on April 1st and I just didn’t give up some importance. Of course, as always I just can’t sit like that so I checked with my colleagues bloggers.  I realized that it was time for the little Marko to visit Sri Lanka! My happiness in that moment I just can’t describe with the right words, there were tears of joy, my mom wanted to go with me, and there was a real mini drama in the house for a couple of days… After few days my mother, who as you know is my photographer, she forgave that I wouldn’t take her with me on the Sri Lanka’s trip.

The days have passed, the time for the journey was getting closer and closer, and I was secretly hoping that it was not a prank and I would really go to one such trip like that…

Three days before the trip I got my flight tickets and of course again you can just imagine me how I’m running through the house and screaming with joy, because that was the sign which I was waiting for…

The first day of the April, the unusual morning crowd in the downtown of Belgrade I hardly managed to get out and with a couple minutes of delay I checked on my flight and finally I’ve started my new adventure. That day I will remember, that is for sure! I didn’t feel the tiredness of the previous trip or the cry of frightened babies. I just couldn’t have missed reading of “professional travel literature” – Guide: How to survive Sri Lanka and some old issue of Hello magazine…

Well, landing in Doha it didn’t get to be scary as I was in India recently, so I acted like a true “professional” traveler and I went straight to the boarding gate for the Colombo.

After 11 hours of reading some “interesting” literature, few naps and 2 movies, Little Marko arrived to Colombo. First Impression: “I will die, here it has almost 37 degrees outside and it’s 4 am… God what’s waiting for me all those days!” I must admit they have very interesting airport. You wouldn’t expected to find a nice house technique at the airport itself! My mom still can’t forgive me when I told her how cheap the washing machine is. She has almost a heart attack because of sadness why I didn’t buy her a new Candy washing machine… of course it’s a joke! She was very happy when she saw a new pair of earrings, like any other woman! 🙂

The flight from Doha to Colombo was very interesting, although it was early in the morning and there was a lot of light there, so there was no feeling of how much hours you really traveled…

Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka, is a real pearl of the Indian Ocean. The next day was interesting, together with my colleagues instagrammers and youtubers  I had the opportunity to enjoy in the magic of the Colombo. Just imagine walk the coast of the Indian Ocean and the temperature 37-degree, believe me it’s a real adventure. I was pretending that I’m hero just for two hours. I must admit that walking was worth because I’ve got a nice tan. 🙂

Sigiriya… The city of kings, a city that intrigues visitors with its history. Whether you are a lover of history or art, Sigiriya is the perfect place for you. And even if you just want to see more on Sri Lanka, Sigiriya for sure will stay in your memory for a long time.

Sigiriya or “Lion Rock” as a term or word is not widely known to people, but when someone shows the image of Sigiriya everything is changing. Almost everyone knows about the existence of this geological formation that the mighty Kings of Sri Lanka have turned into a fortress. Sigiriya is often called by people an eighth world miracle. Whether or not we will leave it to someone else to decide but it is certain that this natural formation and building is one of the main reasons for traveling to Sri Lanka. I would like to take the opportunity to say big thank you to Sigiriya Hotel for hospitality and kindness.  It’s a warm recommendation from the heart! On the picture below you can see that amazing Lion Rock from the Sigiriya hotel, isn’t it just wonderful?

The “Lion Rock” is a volcanic origin. It emerged as a hardened magma of long ago active volcano, which in the course of time has gained the shape that we now have the opportunity to see. Due to its position and natural shelters, the Lion Rock was inhabited since the prehistoric times. People who lived on and around, they left their stamp by building many caves and shelters. Since the end of the 20th century Sigiriya (Lion Rock) is on the UNESCO World Heritage list.

Since Sigiriya has no epithet of a religious building, you do not have to worry about dressing. It is very important that you know that when you visit religious buildings on Sri Lanka, regardless of the temperature for men it is important that they have to wear long trousers, they are allowed to be made of linen or some other light material for summer. Women are allowed to wear skirts or trousers just below the knee.

Guys, my advice for you is to go as early as possible on an excursion, there is a possibility that you will stay out of the crowd for a long time and the temperatures can be very high. Also the information you should know before you go on a trip is that there are more than 1200 steps on the Lion Stone, so whoever plans to climb to the very top should be in very good condition. I’ve reached the top, I really don’t even know how I did it. I thought of myself as a Rambo with that famous music from the movie, but I think I looked like a fallen mountain hiker who got lucky to get to the top! I’m honest at least! 🙂

At almost all of our excursions we met a lot of pupils from elementary schools, there were even pre-school children who always greeted me with the smile and with the famous question: “Where are you from?”. Very kind and nice children, they were really cute, even they were in a better shape than me! Whatever I am proud of myself, I have managed to climb this tall rock! 🙂

The view from the top was unbelievable, but I was most delighted when we got back to our van! 😀 The Lion’s rock is a real challenge for alpinists and for people who just love hiking, this was a great success for me and as I’m writing this post now, I just feel the same muscle pain which I had during this adventure. The blogging crew continues their journey and the next destination was the Kaudulla National Park. It’s time for safari guys!

Safari in Kaudulla National Park is the best activity on Sri Lanka that you shouldn’t miss. This is a unique opportunity to see the wild Asian elephants in live. This is the only place in the world where you can come this close to these wonderful animals. You can see their daily activities like eating, drinking water and swimming. Believe me it’s very interesting place.

It is very exciting when you have the chance to see elephants in their natural environment and at least feel the wild life of nature for a moment. Elephants move freely, we had a chance to see their mating…

I think they wanted to have a public! I thought for a moment to watch some reality TV show! But here the main actors are animals! 😀

Third day on Sri Lanka’s adventure was slowly approaching to the end, a blogger crew came back to the hotel. Some people from the crew still had more energy to spend so they made a party. But for little Marko this day was too much and he went to sleep a little… I know, sometimes I’m very boring person!

Rise and shine sunshine! New day is up, little Marko has filled the batteries, and he has also prepared the batteries of cameras, so everything is ready for the action! Or maybe not ?! Maybe I’ll just chill a little and take another nap!

Finally, it was time for the beach! The east coast on Sri Lanka was not explored so much and we were the first group of international online media, which was visited this part of Sri Lanka. That was a great honour for us and this way I would like to thank the Sri Lankan tourism board on this amazing journey.

This was a very exciting trip, very fun when you have a good company everything is different! I was in the crew with the famous youtuber! He is well known in Canada, America and the Philippines, and he has millions of subscribers because he has multiple channels on the You Tube. His name is Mikey Bustos.

He is a very positive person, even I became a fan of vlogging now (Vlog – is making the videos of daily activities that would be interesting to the audience, a lot of bloggers and youtubers are doing that).  You can see me in his vlogs. It was so fun to make videos with him and Raquel and RJ (Romeo). Raquel and I just found out on this trip that we are real soulmates, why? We both have many interesting thing in common and both of us love photography.

Mikey, Raquel and Romeo were my companion with whom I spent most of my time in Sri Lanka. I can’t wait to see them again! Maybe we will catch up on my trip to the Philippines. Beside us, there were also professional photographers from Turkey and I aslo learned a lot of useful tricks! Thanks guys! 😀

The ocean, the sun, but there is no more time to rest. Our break on the beach are interrupted by our guides and they remind us that it’s time to go on tour of the Hindu temple dedicated to the God of Shiva.

This is also one of the largest Hindu temples in Sri Lanka. It is dedicated to the Shiva, a god whose role is to destroy the Universe at the end of the existence of the world. The symbol of the Shiva is a phallus, which is an indicator of the male role in fertility and birth. Shiva is also a god of good and evil at the same time. It is easy to calm him down and at the same time it is very dangerous and very easily reveals its wrath…

The temple is very interesting and on the walls of the temple you can see God Siva in various situations. It was not allowed to take the photos in the temple, but you have the opportunity to see the diversity of colors on the photo above. I hope I have shown you this beauty and the vividness that this temple has.

After visiting the temple, we had the free time to explore the area and after that we were tired, but very happy and we returned to the hotel to charge our batteries for the new day.

Guys, we have come to the end of this first post from this series of posts about my adventures from Sri Lanka.

Best,

Mr.M

Postcard from Prague: Let’s talk about…

Hello guys, I hope you had a good time last weekend and you have started this week in the good mood. Today, finally the inspiration found me and I’m here on computer with smile on my face writing for you a new post. Traveling is a wonderful thing, the most beautiful gift you can afford to yourself and your loved ones.

When it comes to travel, it is always better to explore a destination in a good company, because when you are alone, you’re not inspired enough to investigate. Of course you can always meet someone new on the trip, for example my best friend Maria has found a guy like that, she was alone, he was alone and they have married after 4 months, now they have kids… You can see what happens when you decide to travel around the world alone, she was decided to see Europe and hop! She found the love oh her her life! 🙂

Today I will take you to Europe, or more precisely to the capital of the Czech Republic – Prague. Today’s post will be divided into two parts: About Prague and Outfit post. I hope you will enjoy!

I believe that you have been in this beautiful city so far, but this was the first time for me. Many people  call Prague with the special name – the Golden City. When I think about it, they are right Prague really is it! A city that simply sends you some special vibes with some unique charm and charisma. Maybe that’s why people from Europe and the world are attracted to come and visit this amazing city. Imagine the fact that that even the greatest emperors like Napoleon or Hitler didn’t have the heart to attack this beauty, they had just let it and today we have the opportunity to enjoy the original architecture of this city.

There is one interesting legend how Prague got the name. Namely, the legendary Czech princess Libussa is the person we need to be thankful for. It is believed that she is a fabulous ancestor of all the Czechs. According to legend, she founded Prague in the 8th century. Today, she only “lives” in promo ads for Staropramen beer. Who knows, maybe the princess was the fan of the beer! 🙂

Prague is also known as the town of beer and good entertainment. I have a lot of bars in the heart of the city, but I have to admit that I’m  many more little bakeries selling the famous Trdelnik! What is that? Trdelnik or Trdlo is a famous candy, which has become a symbol of the city, but originally this sweet is not from the Czech Republic. I’m sure you’ve seen that cake. It is made from rolled dough that is wrapped around a stick, then grilled and topped with sugar and walnut mix.

Very interesting candy. Depending on whether you want only the lightened Trdlo without any flavours or you want Trdlo with Nutella or whipped cream, the price ranges from 3 to 5.5 euros. I’ve tried, interesting sweet, light and you will want more! 🙂

For start it’s good for you to know some basic things.  You know that certain things in the Czech Republic are significantly more expensive, such as: street food, restaurants, fashion items… The official currency is the Czech Crown and my advice is to be very, very careful when you exchanging the money and ask if you need 3 times as how much you will actually get. Price in supermarkets are very good and you can buy interesting pastries! Albert Supermarket was my choice! I reccommend you to visit.

The city has left on me an impression with amazing architecture and kindness of Czech people. I would like to go back one day and to continue my research where I stopped! 🙂

On the periphery of the city there is an interesting outlet called Fashion Arena Outlet, we planned to go there but due to the lack of time we did not succeed because we were in Prague for three days and we didn’t manage our time well, maybe next time I will have more luck. Take a look at their official website on the brand list and I’m sure everyone will find something for themselves. Maybe it’s best to go there during seasonal sales – winter or summer, so you can buy something nice on that famous 70% discount! Who knows, everything is possible!

I would like to say thank you to Tourism Board of Czech Republic for this wonderful journey. I had incredible time and I hope we will see again in future!

Mosaic House

Close to the heart of Prague, there is an interesting hotel/hostel Mosaic House. The hotel has many interesting things to offer. On the ground floor there is a restaurant and an unusual bar that reminiscent of American jazz bars, always have live music and mom and I had the opportunity to enjoy it. The next day we used that morning sun and the perfect natural light to make pictures for my outfit post. I think we did a good job!

This outfit is great for every day, whether you have something to do like meeting with some friends or just little walk around the town or maybe planning to go out after this is more than enough. Perhaps changing trousers might be a fairly decent business combination.

Stripes are the fashion details that you can’t just miss out. One year they are very popular, next year may not appear, but believe me it will be back because that is fashion and stripes are absolutely everywhere! This sweater was my love at the first sight because of the combination of my favorite colors. That’s me, the eternal classic!

OUTFIT:

Sweater: Esprit Original

Trousers: Zara

Sneakers: Adidas

Everyone should have a nice pair of beige classic trousers. Neutral color that matches with all colors perfectly, check it out on your own, believe me you will be suprised.

Sneakers I really think there is no need to describe them, Gazelle is a model that is real classic. Adidas made a iconic sneakers for all fashion tastes! 🙂

How do you like this combination? How did you like Prague? I would like to hear your opinion! If you have a question, comment, suggestion or message for me, you can write me down in the comments. Of course, as always you can contact me via mail or social networks, you can find on the CONTACT page.

We’ll see again in a couple of days, so if something new and interesting happens to me, I promise, I will write to you!

Best,

Mr.M

Hello, Spring!

Hello guys! I sincerely hope you are good and you are ready for the new post. Can you feel this beautiful Spring in the air? Yes? No? Well, maybe you heard all those stories of older people who always advise us to change something in our lives at least some little things, just to make for a moment our lives more interesting. My Indian adventure ended, so after Berlin I decided to go home, at least to feel that peace and to break through the nostalgia of the house with my lunch and mother’s famous dish – Meat Pie, which I always miss when I go somewhere.

Besides that I only wanted to enjoy in Belgrade for a while, I decided to take advantage of the sunny and warm weather in Serbia at the end of March. Berlin is much colder! Brrr! Finally, I can feel the sun and a photographer who was willing to take photos of me were more than enough reasons for Little Marko to move and enjoy in Belgrade.

I should ask you something. I wonder if you think the spring really came? Has anything changed since autumn in your life? Did you maybe help yourself to change something?

Today’s post may only looks like an outfit post to you, but for all those who follow my blog, knows the chit chat time has finally come. Well, let’s go back to today’s topic of the post and ask yourself one more time: “Has a spring come?”

Spring is the best season if you want to start something new in your life. Maybe it’s time to change your job or for some home decorating. People always hope that better days will come and then it’s easier for us to pass through their lives. Sometimes you just have to pack all those old stuff into the box. Maybe if we are brave enough we can easily face with the truth. Are you ready to pack your “winter box”? Are you ready to go out and try something new? I’m sure you will think differently when you just throw aways all those stuff which just capture you at one point. Believe me, it’s working!

When I got invited to participate in the new Guess campaign, I think it was one of the biggest turning points. A little different style, but that old little Marko decided to go to the side of the river Sava in late March and make pictures for the new post. In nature, man always find inspiration, so that were case with my photographer and me this time. We found it! It’s time for some new stories, some new adventures there is too much things to be discovered…

For all true fashion lovers, just know that the navy color is veryyy trendy this year (again!). I’m sure you will not make a mistake if you buy some nice piece of clothing or some good shoes or a bag in that magical color. Again, slightly shorter trousers, you know that it was almost always in fashion, because of the famous Italian style. Viva la moda! Sometimes, you just must love Italy!

I would like to hear your opinion about this combination and of course tell me how you got prepared for this new season? Remember, good thinking man, good style and fashion taste can never change!

We have come to the end of this post! I sincerely hope you enjoyed my today’s post. As you already know, for all questions, comments, suggestions or business proposals for collaboration you can contact me via social media or just visit the CONTACT ME page on the blog.

We’ll see again in a couple of days, so if something new and interesting happens to me, I promise, I will write to you!

Best,

Mr.M

Maharajas Express: Last Call For Varanasi

Hello guys, I’m sure you know the second part of this sentence – I hope you are good and you are ready for the new post. Today everyone is joking, some people just making jokes about my blogging. Why not, the laugh is good and healthy especially when we know that today is a day of joke – April Fools’ Day! I believe you have prepared some interesting pranks for today, just to break a daily boring monotony.

I’ve prepared something much better for you, I’m sure you know what it is – a new post! Today I will finish the series of posts about a magical journey through India. I feel some unusual kind of sadness, probably because of the end of a chapter of life, but there are memories and these wonderful pictures to remind me that I have achieved my biggest childhood dream.

Varanasi, the last city on the Maharajas Express trip, the city of Ganges and the city of souls. You probably know that Varanasi is famous for natural cremation on the banks of the river Ganges, but did you know that it is a city of silk and cashmere? You didn’t know that?! Now you will have the opportunity to find out more about this wonderful city. Let’s start!

Varanasi is the holiest Hindu city. It is located on the banks of Ganges word in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It represents the cultural and religious center for thousands of years and has therefore gained a flattering title that is one of the oldest cities in the world. The historians don’t have the exact information that how the city was created, but the legend says that the city was founded by God the Shiva. There happened a fight between the two supreme gods, Brahma and Shiva, and the succeeding combat resulted in one of the five heads of Brahma being torn off by Shiva.

It was a custom of the time that the victor carried the slain adversary’s head in his hand and let it hang down from his hand as an act of ignominy and a sign of his own bravery. A bridle was also put into the mouth. Shiva thus dishonored Brahma’s head, and kept it with him at all times. When he came to the city of Varanasi in this state, the hanging head of Brahma dropped from Shiva’s hand and disappeared in the ground. The land of Varanasi is therefore considered an extremely holy religious site. Because of this, most of people believe that bathing in this holy river helps people to be cleaned from all the sins.

On the other hand, the city has a very good position for trade, so today it’s one of the main trade centers in India. We had the opportunity to visit the oldest workshop made of all types of pashmina and silk items. For the first time in my life, I had a chance to see stuff and fashion accessories that I only had a chance to see in the Indian soap operas.

After enjoying in this unusual show of colors and beauty of the precious sarees (female garment from the Indian subcontinent), our friends from India’s Tourism Board and Maharajas Express, took us to a wonderful cruise where we had the opportunity to enjoy the sunset on the Ganges.

After this wonderful journey, I really started to look at India with other eyes, a country with a lot of prejudice, but a country with a completely different and rich culture and customs that everyone should come here at least once in your life and feel this incredible India. People in India will always welcome you with a smile and a open heart.

The Ganges is the river of life, the river of true love and eternal hopes, the real proof that life is a passing thing and that it needs to be used in the best possible way. There is sadness here when you pass by open crematoriums. A couple of hundred meters down the river are the stairs which are used by family members who had lost their beloved ones that day and they use stairs to go down to the river and to bathe in the river just to say last goodbye.

A very unusual ritual but very interesting and educational. After these sad scenes, you will have the opportunity to cheer yourself up with the most beautiful view on the world and simply say to yourself, “Yes, I finally came to India!” Don’t be disturbed by mosquitoes, just believe me that you will enjoy this cruise.

If you remember, I wrote today that India is a far-away country with rich culture and customs. Everyone should, at least once in life to visit this amazing country. I’m sure you will make some wonderful new memories that you will remember for the rest of your life.

I would have one little please for you. If you take your way to Varanasi sometime, make sure you  will buy few chocolate bars, it’s not really expensive. You wonder why I ask you to do this? This is because of the children which you will surely meet when you take your walk along the banks of Ganges. They love chocolate, but you know because of the financial possibilities they are not able to enjoy this sort of happiness as we have a chance every day then at least sometimes to buy for us or for beloved ones…

Well guys, we have come to the end of today’s post. I really hope that you enjoyed and you learned something new today. Right now I’m on the airport and I’m waiting to check in for my new destination! See you next week and you must promise me that you will do something fun today because today is the day for the pranks!

How did you like my Indian adventure? I would like to hear your opinion! If you have a question, comment, suggestion or message for me, you can write me down in the comments. Of course, as always you can contact me via mail or social networks, you can find on the CONTACT page.

We’ll see again in a couple of days, so if something new and interesting happens to me, I promise, I will write to you!

Best,

Mr.M

Once upon a time in Berlin…

Hi everyone, how are you today? I sincerely hope that this winter has not ruined your good mood these days. Maybe I could cheer you up a little, I will share one fun fact with you that Berlin is these days much colder than I expected and that I really admire people how they manage to do their everyday routine. Today, I will write about the city where I spend more than 200 days per year and I am very proud to call that city as my other home – Berlin! I would like to thank the Tourism Board of city of Berlin – Visit Berlin for support. Thank you guys! 🙂

Life on the Belgrade-Berlin relation is not so easy, but I must admit that it’s much easier for me when I hear that all the most beautiful cities names in the world begin with letter B. Well, of course it’s a great compliment! Berlin, as I suppose you know is the main capital of Germany. Do you know what nickname the tourists gave Berlin? The city which never sleeps! Simply Berlin is a European city that never sleeps, even when the metro is closed…

How did I get to Berlin? I still think about that, but I think it was a destiny call for job, a paid flight ticket and a smile on my face are the main reasons that I might have the opportunity to change my life. As I remember it was like yesterday, a one rainy day in November. I didn’t allow the rain to ruin my special day, I immediately went to the hotel to leave my stuff. Exploring of the city and refreshing my memory was my first task for the first day a little because it was not my first “meeting” with this beautiful city.

I bought some sandwich, just sat on some “improvised” bench and I just started to watch people on the street trying to imagine myself in a suit or some nice coat how I’m running in the metro to catch the train because I will late for work. Pretty tense, is not it? Germany is a country in which rules are known in advance, there is almost no exceptions. Bills must be paid in advance by the first day of the month. I will only say a very well organised country.

Finally, day D came – interview with an employer. Shortly after stepping into the office building, I realised that this place wasn’t for me. Of course, the interview ended well, so I got a nice job offer, but I knew that this place was definitely not for me. Yeah, I know maybe you will say I’m a childish person, but I’m a big dreamer so please don’t ruin my hopes! 🙂

After the interview, I started to look the Berlin with some another eyes, because I was far from my goal – life in Germany. All right, I will survive! I was sure that there would be a chance that would suit me completely. I was lost in my minds, I walked the streets with some sad face, smile had gone. At one point someone tapped me on the shoulder with the words: “Oh my God, is it possible ?! Marko, is that you? “- It was my friend Ines, who moved to Berlin after being married. Fortunately, she ended up that day with the job and we headed for coffee right away.

After that typical talk and questions about family, health and everyday matters, Ines asked me one simple question. Why I came to Berlin? I explained to her that I had come for a job interview and that I was not really satisfied, and I would like to stay in Germany. Her question: “Marko, what do you think  about some job where you are going to work with German companies and International companies as well and occasionally to come to Berlin just to say hello? I have to tell you, your blog is absolutely amazing, I love it! “.

Ines is my colleague, my marketing soul. She has achieved her dreams, she has been employed in one of the most successful PR agencies in Germany. Suddenly, her husband called her called her, so she had to hurry home, she just gave me a business card and told me to come tomorrow morning and she would explain everything to me, she was sure that I would like her proposal.

After a sudden interesting meeting and conversation with my good friend I got some new hope, I wanted to yell so loud: “Berlin, here I come!”. I literally bounced off to the hotel, knowing that working with Ines is very funny because she is similar to me and nothing does not hold us in one place at all. It’s all nice, but I forgot to buy a metro ticket because of my happiness. Thanks God for not having control that day in metro!

New day has come, new hopes, it’s time for new victories! I was singing whole morning while I was dressing up for the meeting and slowly I headed towards to the address that was on the business card. A totally different feeling than yesterday, a beautiful building, people kinda cheerful, I said to myself: “Yes, that’s it!”. While I was trying to explain to the secretary why I came to Ines, she (Ines) by her good old customs, quietly came in and yelled “Hey blogger boy, come here we have some work to do!”. Ines and her pranks, you just need some time to understand her! 😀

As we sat and talked, I lost myself in counting cakes and all those sweets and even big chocolate cakes began to arrive. Ines told me that I’m a goddamn lucky man because I came to their “Sweet Day” in the office when companies for which they work send them products to cheer them up. When I saw the conditions for work I would agree to work as a cleaner, cakes are acceptable to pay my bills! 😀

We had a nice chit chat and finally we went over to the thing I came for. The whole thing was based on my blog that I opened just to entertain myself and finally that I have some place where I will be able to show people my love for life, fashion and to share some lifestyle tips and of course to entertain others with my posts. I have never had in mind that I would have the opportunity to earn something from my blog. It was so early!

I’m listening to Ines, in half of the fairy tale I’ve lost… I’ve already imagined myself on all those nice places she mentioned to me. I kept silent for about twenty minutes (wow that was a record for me!), I thought I would pass out! She mentioned that she immediately has excellent clients for me and that we can sign the contract tomorrow, I can bring contact with me to read it well and see what will happen to Mr.M blog.

Ines gave me an interesting red card, it was a beautiful red color. It was Berlin Welcome Card (a tourist card that gives tourists many benefits in Berlin). Thank to her I had my transportation card for the next 5 days! She saved me for the next 5 days and I managed to do something nice and see some new sights in Berlin. I mentioned that the Welcome Berlin card offers various benefits, discounts, and some attractions you can visit completely for free, while for certain you have special discounts that may mean a lot.

The best thing is a transport ticket for all three zones is included in the price. Berlin has A, B and C zones, and when you use the transport irrelevant whether it is a subway, S-Bahn or bus, you have to be careful that you have a proper ticket, otherwise you need to pay a fee if the controller comes! 🙂 Transportation in Berlin is not cheap, so it’s best to check out the Welcome Berlin Card website and see the program that will fit your needs for your stay in Berlin. Berlin is no longer so far away, there are low cost flights, sometimes some good promo fares and for few hours there is you in Berlin!

A year and a half later, my life turned 1720 degrees! (360 degrees is too small for me! :D)      It’s the same Berlin, but a bit more beautiful version of little Marko who can say he is happy with his life. Oh yes, Berlin is my city of dreams! You know that famous sentence: “Come to Hollywood, here all dreams become real!”. I think that you can achieve your dreams a bit closer, perhaps in your neighborhood, somewhere in Europe. I found my Hollywood in Germany so you can try to find yours somewhere, or maybe you can try your luck in Germany why not?! Berlin is always there to welcome you!

Why do I love Berlin? Since I’m Virgo in the horoscope, at least once in your life I’m sure that you heard how Virgos are real maniacs when it comes about work and doing some things on time. That’s what I liked in Germany – Everything is on time! Whether it’s only a matter of transportation or the provision of some other service, regularity and quality is something I highly value. Their standard of living is far above ours in Serbia for example, but stop! Think about it? Just imagine yourself how you work in Berlin, you have some costs of living there, apartment, bills, food, clothes. Don’t worry, you will be able to do it, maybe you will save something and you will travel a little. It is important that you do what you love and everything is much easier!

How do you like this combination? How did you like Berlin? I would like to hear your opinion! Have you ever been in Berlin? If you have a question, comment, suggestion or message for me, you can write me down in the comments. Of course, as always you can contact me via mail or social networks, you can find on the CONTACT page.

We’ll see again in a couple of days, so if something new and interesting happens to me, I promise, I will write to you!

Best,

Mr.M

Dresden: The City of Kings

Hello everyone! How are you today? I sincerely hope that you are well. In today’s post, I will try to show you all the beauties of a German city, which is better known as the “City of Kings”. Dresden is the capital of the federal province of Germany – Saxony. In Dresden there are about 500,000 inhabitants, but if we consider the wider city area and the municipality then the number is considerably higher, with about 800,000 inhabitants. The city is located in the valley of the Elbe river and thanks to this fact the town is decorated with precious bridges.

Dresden represents the main cultural, political and economic center. Because of its cultural and historical significance Dresden got its name – “Florence on Elbe”. I have to admit that this city has been quite remind me of Vienna because of its architecture.

Prior to the end of the Second World War, Dresden was bombed and most of the city was destroyed (there are various sources of information, but more than 80% of the city is destroyed). A lot of people have died, and the attack on the city is still under mysteries today and intrigues many historians. After the end of the war, the city was restored as well as many monuments of historical significance.

The city is really fascinating and easy to “recognize” from other typical German cities. When you walk around the city you simply don’t have the feeling that you are in Germany. I had the opportunity to enjoy in the beauties of the city with the little help of the Tourism Board of the City of Dresden. Thank you!

Since I came early in the city it was quite reasonable that the city was quiet, but after I realized that the city was so peaceful and really quiet, you will see people, but it’s not like Berlin or some other big city that you have feeling the “noise” of the city. I have to admit that it is perfectly suited to me, because I always wanted to get rid of the sound of the rails in the metro and to get out of big town for a while.

The city is one of the real artistic work, if you maybe get lost yourself in some street, you will be amazed by the beauty of details that decorate city and the buildings. I was “lost” for a whole weekend!

The sound of the music, street artists who by the sound of their instruments simply make you lose the notion of time and at least feel the magic of some past times… I spiced it up a little with a Reforma cake that I couldn’t eat in a pastry shop because it was not enough space for seating! Believe me I don’t regret! I thought people would think I was crazy as I ate cake in the middle of the street, but in the end it turned out that it was all right. 🙂

In the heart of the city is the Zwinger Castle. A unique building, somewhat like the Versailles castle like in Paris, but because of its large outdoor area, the castle itself was mostly used for festive occasions. The most important “star” in Dresden is located in this castle, a large golden crown that everyone is coming to take photos of that famous crown as I do and I finally realised that I have made 325 pictures of the crown itself and 700 pictures of the city… “The Crown Gate” is on the one of the entrances in the old part of town. Only the name says – Crown. The crown is one of the reasons that everyone is coming to Dresden…

At the beginning of this post I mentioned to you that Dresden was bombed at the very end of the Second World War and whether you might have wondered why Allied forces bombed the city like Dresden at the very end? Dresden has always been distinguished from all other cities, primarily because of its cultural importance, and it was also the strongest cultural centre in Germany. Residents are particularly proud of this fact and they thought Dresden was the cultural “cradle” of Germany and that it was the place where this story should start from. Because of all this, the allies decided to bomb the city at the end of the war. After all those dark times, Dresden and its inhabitants make it so easy and the city was quickly restored. The city administration today is investing in the reconstruction and maintenance of the city and monuments of historical importance.

Now let’s go over on some interesting and fun things. Many of you, on social media, wondered how much time it takes to get around Dresden… The answer to that question lies in yourself. Everything depends on your condition and how much you can chime during the day. The other thing that interests all of you is whether you want to visit the city and see some buildings and monuments or you want to see the museums how much time you need to explore city. If you want to visit a city without a museum, you could make as one day excursion (again it all depends on where you are traveling and which transportation you will use: car, bus, train or a plane). My best advice is to spend at least one night in Dresden. As in every city in Germany and in Dresden there are hotels for everyone’s budget.

“If I have enough of the time which museums I can visit?”

Dresden is a city that has a rich history and there are plenty of museums, but if you already have a little more time you can visit the Military Museum and exhibitions in the Dresden Castle. The Military museum is located on the central periphery and I advise you to use the tram while the castle is in the city centre, so you don’t need to use transportation.

After several years of construction and various changes to the construction project the Military Museum of the Bundeswehr finally was opened.

The museum follows the development of Germany from the early beginning of history to the present. It was an interesting exhibition of animals used in the war for centuries. It is not advisable to take the children with you because certain pictures are disturbing. The museum is very modern and interactive, if you have time I think you should pay a visit to the Bundeswehra Museum.

Das Residenzschloss – Dresden Castle

The castle is located in the heart of Dresden. There are many interesting exhibitions, with special exhibitions such as the Royal Jewellery Collections, the Golden Age and the Chamber of the Ottoman Empire history.

A special collection of the Royal jewels can’t be photographed as a visitor-tourist or as a media representative. The collection is extraordinary and it is one of the rare and largest collections of royal jewels and items of exceptional value throughout Europe.

On the second floor there are artwork that can be photographed, certain objects you can see in the pictures above. The museum itself is divided into several themed areas.

I think you should visit the castle and you can enjoy the beauty of these items of unpredictable value and find out something new. It’s always good to learn something new, every new experience and knowledge makes a man richer and better.

Especially interesting is the exhibition which is showing the Ottoman Empire history. Really fascinating exhibition, I really enjoyed! That was the most beautiful two hours spent in my life.

Dresden: Where to eat?

We went to museums, we learned something new, maybe we could eat something nice! 🙂

There are plenty of cool restaurants that are affordable but of course you can always choose fast food restaurants, but if you want to try real German specialties or to feel exotic Asian food in the centre of Dresden it will be better for you to visit these restaurants.

My first suggestion is the Felix restaurant, located in the centre of the city. The restaurant is a modern and urban. This is a place where you can always try the unbelievable tastes of Asian cuisine. Of course, there is a classic menu, but to enjoy in Asian cuisine and to have a stunning view from the 6th floor just to see famous crown is an unbelievable feeling. Apart from the restaurant within the complex there are apartments, so you can make your trip even better!

If you want to feel the right German cuisine, my recommendation is Sophienkeller. Prices are affordable if you consider it to be in the heart of Dresden and that the food is of excellent quality.

Where to stay in Dresden?

In Dresden there are plenty of hotels that are really affordable to everyone’s pocket, but my sincere recommendation is the Hyperion Hotel am Schloss which is located in the center of the city. By name you can find that the hotel is located near the castle, which is a great thing and allows you to easily and without using the transportation to explore Dresden.

Okay, now you know some tips what you should do in Dresden, where you can eat, where you can stay… I think we miss something… I think that activity is well known to everyone, and guess what it’s a SHOPPING. At the beginning before I write some recommendations, you should know that in Dresden are mostly multi-brand stores. To whom this type of stores is unknown, these are the stores that have more brands in their offer. So far, I had positive experiences with such stores, in some cases it happened that the things of certain brands on discounts were cheaper than discounting in the official stores of those brands. Sales in their official flagship stores are from 30% to 40%, and in multi-brand stores you can find the same or similar model at a discount of up to 70% on sale.

Since I’m a male fashion blogger, guys, I think you should visit the stores I recommend. If you can’t remember, leave it to your dear ladies…  Sometimes women know better and have better memory for these things than men, so it will be much easier to take your dear lady  for a nice shopping spree.

Recommendations:

Prüssing & Köll – If you are a fan of the classic style and timeless elegance, this is the right place for you! You need a new coat, maybe a new suit? This store really has everything you need to be elegant. Of course, this is not just a fashion paradise for men, it’s also a heaven for ladies. If you love classic trousers, my dear ladies here will surely find them and of course much much more! Address: Heinrichstraße 5. You can find this store on the MAP.

LUI Menswear – another great “fashion” address in Dresden! Are you a fan of Italian style? You follow the latest fashion trends? I think you’ll definitely like this store. Address: Neumarkt 6 – MAP.

Schneiderei und Herrenmode Küchler – This charming tailor salon has left an incredible impression on me, because my grandfather was also a tailor. He also made beautiful suits and trousers for men. Memories are a real miracle! The owner of this salon has a longstanding experience and he is willing to follow all the latest fashion trends. All the materials are exclusively purchased from Germany, and I have to admit that the suits are very affordable if you know that you will get a quality suit that is tailored to fit you perfectly. Rates range are from 150 euros to 500 euros depending on the material and the model of the suit itself. A very interesting salon, if you need a nice and quality suits just pay a visit to this tailor salon! Address: Leipziger Str. 82 – MAP.

Now I would like to write some nice recommendation for ladies too! Of course, men can find something for themselves, but the accent is on the clothes for ladies.

Silbermann Fashion – This is a true fashion paradise for all high-end fashion brands lovers. The small department store, as I called it, has everything that you need to look amazing. Like all the things in life that have that famous BUT, in this case that’s a price. You can use final sales at the moment so you can find great fashion pieces. You just need the luck to find your size, if you find it that means you are the lucky one and you will surely have the nice item which will last for several seasons.

Altmarkt Galerie Dresden – Shopping mall in the heart of Dresden. It has about 200 shops of famous street and high-end brands. In this mall, you can find brands like H&M and all the luxurious famous brands like Hugo Boss. If you have time, I think you should visit this great shopping mall and to spend some nice and quality time there.

Well, I think you learned something new today and that you’ve got plenty of practical tips how to spend time in Dresden. Dresden is a beautiful city and I think everyone will find what looks for. Whether you’ve come to enjoy art, architecture or food, Dresden is here for you to fulfill all your wishes.

My travel diary is richer for a new one experience, and I went home with a smile on my face and a suitcase full of things which I didn’t dress on because of low temperatures… But I have amazing memories for a lifetime.
