Fashion Diaries: Beige, a gentle color that will make your day amazing!

My dear fashionistas, I hope you are well and that you have done all the preparations for the weekend! Today we will bust some myths and prejudices about the beige color and I will try to present you some basic characteristics of this wonderful color. Beige is one of the most appreciative colors that is easy to adapt, this color itself is very calm, neutral and easily fits with any color thanks to its “drowning neutrality”.

Beige is a natural color with a visible admixture of brown and white. Many people find this color boring, while some find it very relaxing to the eye due to its neutrality. This color goes perfectly with bright and dark colors because beige is a great “background” color that can combine colors and create true harmony.

People believe that beige is a symbol of conservatism, piety and simplicity. I love this color and for me it is the epitome of sophistication and elegance. Beige color is light and neutral and can simply soften any combination that contains pieces of bright colors, while on the other hand it can successfully extract the best from some dark shades that are not pleasing to the eye.

If you want to emphasize two or more darker shades, it is necessary to add clothing items or fashion accessories in beige color and achieve a relaxing effect. Beige color is easily combined with pink and yellow, and in that way you achieve a gentle, attractive and conservative look. If you decide to combine beige with brown, orange and black, then an ideal palette of earth colors is created and the combination gets a strong and sophisticated look. Combined with blue, beige gives warmth to shades of blue, but never manages to fully compensate for the intensity of cold blue shades.

Beige is a color that suits every person, it’s just a matter of some personal preferences and tastes because some people don’t feel comfortable wearing beige. Today I decided to show you what the harmony of earth colors looks like with beautiful pieces of cashmere made by my friends from the company GOBI Cashmere from Mongolia.

All members of this organization are committed exclusively to three clear goals:

• Environmental protection – Ecological sustainability in the Mongolian regions where cashmere is produced.
• Community protection – Improving economic conditions in the long- term for all pastoral communities whose livelihood depends solely on the cashmere market.
• Animal protection – ensuring the right to life of animals in cashmere production.

GOBI Cashmere, in cooperation with the non-profit organization SFA, supports a special project that covers the topics of cashmere sustainability. This project aims to support the sustainability of cashmere in order to reduce and prevent the deterioration of grazing and wildlife protection conditions in rural parts of Mongolia. Through this comprehensive program that brings together all actors in the cashmere value chain, the project improves the lives of shepherds and the development of a sustainable cashmere industry in the provinces of Dornogobi and Bayankhongor.

This spring, new items also arrived from my friends Picard Lederwaren, who supported my adventures around the world for years, and Picard’s leather friends never let me down. Today’s elegant outfit was completed by a watch from the Akylon collection of the art Swiss brand MUSE, which you had the opportunity to meet in one of the previous posts.

The case is made of 100% titanium in the color of rose gold, while the dial is made of aventurine, a type of quartz that is characterized by its transparency and the presence of mineral impurities in the form of platinum that give it a shimmering or shining effect called aventurescence.

My watch is adorned with an Elaphe bracelet in a bronze brown-gold color. The bracelet is made of Elaphe water snake skin, which does not belong to the protected species. Since the entire outfit was in a certain classic tone, I decided to take my favorite Dolce & Gabbana crocodile sneakers I bought last year for a walk. I have to admit that they complemented this outfit in an unusual way.

They may have spent some time in the closet, but in the end they waited for their five minutes of fame! Of course, this shade of drape color goes great with my pastel colors in the wardrobe.

I advise you from the bottom of my heart to listen to my advice due to the current unfavorable health situation in almost all European and countries around the world. If you need to go out into the fresh air, take a walk and clear your mind, feel free to do so, but do not go to places where there are a lot of people and encourage crowding.

The process of vaccinating the population in Germany has begun and I believe that the situation will soon improve and that our lives will return to normal soon!

I understand that people need to go out into the fresh air for physical activity and mental health, but you can do that by simple walking the city every day, on low-traffic pedestrian streets. Of course, you can walk in parks and other types of green areas or promenades along rivers, but keep the prescribed physical distance, use disinfectants and please wear a mask.
