Dear fashionistas, I hope that you are doing well and I would like to say hello for the very first time. It is my pleasure to be able to communicate with you in this way and spare some of my free time with you. Marko passed on your messages and countless questions about my lifestyle. Fashion has always been a very important part of my life. It should not be enslaved by any means, but you have to adapt it to yourself.

Fashion comes and goes, changes at the speed of light and should not be blindly obeyed because it is only a reflection of the inspiration of the designer at the given moment. Style is the only thing that matters, it’s a part of you and never let others influence it because style is your only way to show attitude and opinion without having to speak. For a woman, it is of crucial importance.

Of course, it’s nice to wear a recognizable and branded clothing, footwear and accessories, but it’s a much nicer feeling when there is an absolute harmony of your appearance, attitude and the clothes you wear. Don’t let the clothes wear you, but only you wear them. Always remember that Coco Chanel said that beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself. So, always be yourself, regardless of trends.

I think that there is a lot of inconsistency in today’s understanding of fashion and style, as well as that these terms are often confused. At Marko’s persuasion, I decided to open my fashion corner on Mr.M blog and sometimes share my view of fashion with you and show you that style is far more important than the current fashion trend. I will try to share some of my interesting fashion stories with you in the coming period, which I hope you will enjoy reading.

For those who have not met me, I am Rose (Ružica in Serbian) – a master’s degree in economics by profession, and I have created my life according to my own standards, just like fashion, which I follow for pleasure but am not a slave to. It’s nice to play with the latest trends and enrich my wardrobe with new colors and materials, but as long as it fits into my fashion and lifestyle.

Marko and his friends say that I am “a woman, a mother, a queen”. Like any other woman, I always tried to balance my professional and private life and tried to organize them in the best possible way.

Did I succeed in that? I’m honestly not sure, but I tried my best, and that’s the only thing that counts in the end. Regardless of the fact that I often appear unapproachable due to my style, I use most of my free time for walks around the city and interesting trips that I usually take with my children.

Finding cloths doesn’t take as much time as it did when I was younger because I’ve built up my style and a new piece can just fit into my outfits. I mostly buy by chance, when I like something and think it will complete my wardrobe, and such purchases are my greatest pleasure.

The long and tedious shopping and trying on dozens of fashion combinations, which I practiced as a girl, is no longer a pleasure for me, but I always smile when I see a group of girls checking half the store and trying on almost everything in their size (often more). That youthful persistence and enthusiasm almost blows me away, but I know that these girls have a path of building their own style and personality ahead of them. My friends think that I am very dynamic, I often change my place of residence, I travel even more often and I try to breathe life to the fullest and not to regret anything.

I never thought I would become a model because it was never part of my interest, and terms like influencer or blogger became known to the general public only recently. Since I often travel, I also follow world trends and I realized that these new professions certainly bring new challenges.

In our environment, they are often misunderstood or even ridiculed, but that will surely change in a few years. It’s certainly a different job than what I’m used to, but it has its charms, virtues and flaws, just like any other profession. I have supported Marko since his beginning because I saw that this is his great love and passion, and that is the most important thing when you are engaged in a business. Although he graduated in economics and followed in his parents’ footsteps, life and his love for travel, fashion and marketing took him to the other side.

I always had the support of my parents, so I tried to be the support and the main support for my children. I am a very proud mother of a doctor who just became a professor of cardiology and decided to build her life far from home and is very successful in that, and of a son who decided to take a different path and share his fashion stories and life experiences with you. For me, they are Marijana and Marko, and to you he is much better known as Mr.M, who successfully runs his blog and builds his own style (way of life and fashion).

I get a lot of questions about my age and how to adapt fashion to all ages. First of all, ladies don’t ask about age, but I use my age to show that it’s just a number and shouldn’t determine what you should wear. Never let someone tell you that something is not for your age and never let others shape your life. Style is built over years and if a piece of cloth is part of your style, then age is not a limitation. There is only one life and don’t waste it needlessly fighting prejudice because it is already a lost battle.

I’m glad to meet you and in the next story on the Mr.M blog I will present you my favorite fashion pieces that I always like to wear – fur and pearls.

Kind regards,

Rose

Dear Mrs. Rose, you look fantastic and I am glad that you have become the new author of fashion stories on the Mr.M blog! I’m sure many of us can learn a lot about style and fashion from you. Regardless of the fact that I am a man, you can be sure that I will read your stories because I might learn some values from them that women appreciate, because otherwise I have problems meeting girls and I am alone for a long time. You are a wonderful woman, a real fashion icon with a refined taste for fashion! With… Read more »
