I have always liked shearling, but I usually associate it with very casual jackets rather than a complete luxury outfit. This HiSO story changed that perception for me. There is something very convincing about this outfit because every piece has a clear purpose. The HiSO shearling provides warmth and texture, the Loro Piana turtleneck adds softness, the Marco Pescarolo trousers create structure and the Tod’s boots give the outfit a stronger winter finish. What I like most about this HiSO story is that the coat looks genuinely wearable. Sometimes luxury outerwear is photographed in such a formal way that you forget it is supposed to protect you from winter. I think this is one of those outfits where the coat immediately tells you what season it belongs to. The HiSO shearling has a beautiful depth and the fur collar makes it feel particularly luxurious. I have always considered shearling one of the most practical luxury materials, but this post shows how far it can be taken stylistically.
