My dear fashionistas, welcome to my new fashion story on the pages of the Mr.M blog. I’m really glad that you like my take on fashion and that I inspire many women in their prime to change their minds and bring some novelty into their lives. Today I will try my best to present you some new fashion novelties that have arrived in my wardrobe.
I start today’s post with the answer to the question that you could read in the very title of this post. There is one very good reason why fashion lovers still love this undisputed French brand of luxury high “haute couture” fashion – Christian Dior, better known today as the rebranded DIOR. My task today was to create an unusual, extraordinary, minimalists and at the same time refined fashion outfit with the MYTHERESA shopping platform.
Dior is one of the few fashion houses that is based on the ideals of feminine beauty and classic, timeless fashion, over the decades it has evolved into an unusual bold, feminist and powerful design, which has remained somehow true to its roots. In today’s post, I will try to write you a little more about the history of Dior and how this French brand grew into what it is today.
I believe many of you have heard about MYTHERESA shopping platform on Mr.M blog, but I would like to introduce you to this electronic fashion paradise. MYTHERESA is one of the leading global luxury e-commerce platforms operating in over 130 countries. Founded as a boutique in 1987, MYTHERESA launched online in 2006 and offers ready-to-wear, shoes, bags and accessories for women, men and children, as well as lifestyle products.
The MYTHERESA online store was founded in 2006 by Susanne and Christoph Botschen and is connected to the multi-brand store in Munich (formerly the THERESA store). In 2014, the THERESA store and mytheresa.com were acquired by the American luxury retailer Neiman Marcus for €150 million, giving Neiman Marcus greater access to international customers and strengthening their e-commerce technology.
During Neiman Marcus’ bankruptcy in 2020, the company began the process of spinning off Mytheresa as an independent entity. In January 2019, Mytheresa launched a children’s clothing category, and in January 2020, Mytheresa Men was launched. In May 2022, a new homeware and lifestyle category followed. In 2022, Mytheresa expanded its luxury offering to include home decor and lifestyle products.
The novelty they presented this year is the launch of certified second-hand watches from over 25 luxury brands, such as Audemars Piguet and Cartier, in cooperation with the Swiss jewelry and watch company Bucherer. As a global retailer, Mytheresa operates in 8 languages: English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese and Korean.
In today’s post, you will see some fashion pieces from brands that you can find on the MYTHERESA online shopping platform, such as: DIOR, Roger Vivier, Max Mara and Cartier.
Let’s go back to the brand that is the subject of today’s fashion story. Dior as a French brand, dating back to the 1940s, provides fashion lovers around the world with some of the most beautiful garments, be it cocktail ready-to-wear or haute couture gowns on the red carpet or luxurious everyday pieces that are sure to catch the eye of everyone who they see you. This timeless brand has also stood the test of time, evolving with each creative leader who has passed through its doors. The fashion house has hosted some of the most incredible talent in the industry and I firmly believe it will continue to do so for years to come.
When and where did the fashion adventure called Christian Dior begin? Although it was unofficially created in 1946, the Dior brand states in its data that 1947 is the year of its beginning, because that is when the first collection of the fashion house debuted. Christian Dior launched the brand in Paris with a shop at the famous 30 Avenue Montaigne street. An interesting fact is that it took less than three months from the creation of the brand to present the first collection on February 12, 1947.
Mr. Dior had a deep love and respect for art and ran an art gallery in France before entering fashion. After closing his gallery during the Great Depression, he worked for fashion designer Robert Piguet and then-couture designer Lucien Lelong. Dior was still willing to have his work shown, which led him to create his own fashion house in 1946, and Christian Dior was born.
Soon, Dior became a globally famous fashion brand. He opened a store on the corner of Fifth Avenue and 57th Street in New York in 1948, making Dior’s first official entry into the American market. With the global launch came an expanded collection. Dior started with his fragrance notes, introducing Miss Dior, which he dedicated to his sister. It was around this time that Dior realized that his brand needed to provide an overall fashion experience in order to continue his conceptual vision and change the design of his brand.
Every Dior customer could have coats, shoes, hats and every other piece necessary to fully capture the new “fashion wave” from head to toe. The Dior brand continued to grow, and Dior himself continued to dress the biggest stars of the time. He even created the famous Marlene Dietrich for her role in the 1950 Alfred Hitchcock film “Stage Fright”. His creations remained a permanent part of her wardrobe, like many other divas of the late 40s and early 50s of the last century.

Christian Dior died in 1957 as a result of a massive heart attack at the age of 52. The entire fashion world mourned the loss of an industry icon who disappeared from the fashion scene too soon. To maintain the soul of the brand after Dior’s death, Mr. Yves Saint Laurent (Yves Saint Laurent) took on the role of artistic director of the brand. The 21-year-old continued Dior’s legacy, largely keeping the original creative vision intact. However, he sought to bring the brand to a softer silhouette, loosening the cinched waists and dropping some of the structure. The new collections were once unfailingly hit or miss as the industry scrambled to find someone else to lead the Christian Dior brand. When Yves Saint Laurent was called up to serve in the French army in 1960, he was released from the brand.
What is the story of the Lady Dior bag? This star of the French fashion house Dior was born in 1995, this bag first appeared on the hand of Lady Diana, Princess of Wales on her trip to Paris. Before that moment, this Dior bag didn’t have a name, but because of the historic moment with this bag on her hand, it got the perfect name: Lady Dior.
This bag is a testament to the exceptional taste in the Dior ateliers, the Lady Dior bag is a continuation of Christian Dior’s heritage, each element is carefully crafted, in line with the heritage of the house. The metal pendants that fall from the belt are inspired by the amulets he loved so much, and the signature stitching is familiar from the Napoleon III chairs that guests of Dior runway shows would sit on: a thread of history runs through each one.
The Lady Dior bag you see in today’s post is a mini version and is made of genuine python leather in pastel brown-gold tones with gold metallic details.

Of course, the fashion statement piece that every stylish woman needs and that helps you “hide” from the world when you need a break – sunglasses! This famous Panthère de Cartier sunglasses model is a timeless model, a piece that can be passed down to generations to come! I would like to thank the MYTHERESA team for the wonderful gift.
Certain models of optical frames and sunglasses from the Cartier collection can also be found on the MYTHERESA online shopping platform.

Another nice fashion novelty that I received from the MYTHERESA team are these beautiful Roger Vivier ballet flats. Roger Henri Vivier was a French fashion designer who specialized in shoes. He is best known for creating the modern stiletto heel and for placing a chrome buckle on the elegant black high heel shoe, which became a must-have fashion accessory for many celebrities and stars of the 50s and 60s. He named his brand after himself – Roger Vivier. Italian fashion group Tod’s SpA has acquired luxury brand Roger Vivier, adding the label credited with creating the heel.
Some models of shoes and fashion accessories – bags from the Roger Vivier collection can also be found on the MYTHERESA online shopping platform.

Fashion-conscious women sometimes want to create the impression that they are a bit naughty or frivolous, thus showing the world that they are both fashionable and carefree. This diamond encrusted lizard brooch is a perfect example of jewelry produced during the Victorian Aesthetic Period. Crafted in 18K gold with shell-cut diamonds, it has a lovely curve, giving the piece quite the feel as if it’s ready to jump right onto your shoulder and join you for a dazzling stroll around town! I bought it a long time ago, maybe 20 years ago, in an old jewelry store in London. The jeweler had a wonderful display full of brooches from the animal kingdom and I just had to buy it.
Another piece of jewelry is pearls, which I simply adore. In collaboration with YOKO London leading luxury pearl jeweler. The brand, founded in 1973, has evolved over three generations of the Hakimian family. Their insatiable team travels the world to source the world’s finest pearls, many of which boast unique natural colors and exceptional sizes. Their talented designers and artisans work together in their London workshop to create pieces that follow all the trends in the jewelry world, combining contemporary aesthetics with timeless elegance.
Each pearl is hand-selected for each design, and the creations are intricately crafted to celebrate the stunning beauty of these precious gems. Their dedicated team has been known to spend up to a year finding a single pearl that is perfect in size, color and quality to complete a design.
This classic pearl necklace features a striking string of 6mm Japanese Akoya pearls attached to an 18k yellow gold ball clasp. A timeless piece, this necklace will add a touch of glamor to any outfit it’s paired with. Each pearl is perfectly matched and hand strung by experts in the UK.

Max Mara is a world famous Italian fashion brand. It was founded in 1951 in Reggio Emilia by Mr. Achille Maramotti. This legendary brand sponsors and awards the Max Mara Women’s Art Award. Achille Maramotti began creating wardrobes in 1947, and officially founded the Max Mara fashion house in 1951. How did the brand name come about?
The second word of the brand – “Mara” was derived from Mr. Maramotti surname, while “Max” referred to Count Max, a local legend, who was rarely sober, but always so classy and stylish! Mr. Maramotti was one of the first to see that the future of women’s fashion lay in the mass production of designer quality clothing. He also wanted to put his Max Mara brand at the top in front of the names of individual designers, although he hired Karl Lagerfeld, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Dolce & Gabbana, Narciso Rodriguez and Anne Marie Beretta. The company is still in the hands of the family and is one of the best family fashion businesses in the world.
The Max Mara group has 35 brands in its fashion empire, of which the Max Mara brand remains the heart of the company to this day. Other brands include Sportmax, Sportmax Code, Weekend Max Mara, Marella, Pennyblack, iBlues, MAX&Co. and Marina Rinaldi. An interesting information is that Marina Rinaldi is a brand founded in 1980 and named after the greatmother of Mr. Maramotti.
Max Mara is my favorite brand because it absolutely meets my criteria when it comes to wardrobe, which are: quality, interesting models and cuts, good selection of materials, as well as fine processing of materials. Today I decided to show you my favorite piece from the latest Max Mara collection for SS24: a timeless dress with an unusual cut made of satin.
I really like the new collection of this Italian fashion house and I’m glad we have a nice collaboration. In a future post during this summer season, I will try to style this beautiful dress that I received from my dear friends from Max Mara Germany.

I have always admired women with longer and well-groomed hair, but unfortunately I have had short hair all my life, but with the help of Ellen Wille wigs (supllied by Perike In) I managed to fulfill my long-term dream and I am very happy about it. Wigs have become a trend today, because wearing a wig opens up a number of new possibilities for you to experiment and change yourself, without having to make any permanent changes to your natural hair.
Also in addition to the aesthetic transformation, wigs can provide you with good protection from frequent treatment and heat, keeping your natural hair healthy. The history of Ellen Wille began with a suitcase full of ideas. Ellen Wille is a self-made hair designer who built a global brand from a small company. After completing her studies in Paris, the company was established in 1967. The corporate philosophy is shaped by commitment to the highest quality, and this is what the Ellen Wille name stands for.
For over 50 years, Ellen Wille designs have been inspired by international fashion trends. Her passion for wig perfection is evident – she guides every meticulous detail and each Ellen Wille wig is unique. All aspects of an individual style, from the hair fiber to the coloring to the cap design, is about ensuring the most beautiful look, natural movement and comfortable fit. Ellen remains involved in every detail of design, from the first idea, to the finishing touches of each style.
When someone thinks of having to wear a wig, most people get scared thinking that it will take too much time to maintain them. Fortunately, that is not the case at all. Ellen Wille wigs are very easy to maintain and there are many products that will make them last a long time and look the same as when you bought them.
I hope you enjoyed my fashion story today. Soon I will show you other spring outfits that can serve as inspiration for this fashion season. See you in a few days at the same place, with some new interesting story. I will try not to take long breaks and I hope you understand the reason for my unexpected absence, but there will be time to catch up and I am sure I will meet your expectations.
Special note: All my photos from today’s post have been specially edited to meet the expectations of blog partners, as well as the readers themselves while respecting the aesthetics and guidelines of fashion photography. Unfortunately, the face and neck lifting operations did not go well and due to the negligence of the medical team from Egypt, I suffered serious aesthetic and health consequences. In agreement with my legal team, I wrote a post with all the details that can be found on this LINK.
Best Regards,
Rose
