Fashion Diary: November, the month of fashion and new ideas…

My dear fashionistas welcome to another fashion adventure on the Mr.M blog. I sincerely hope you are well, healthy and safe surrounded by loved ones. This year has certainly marked our lives and we will surely remember it after the pandemic and the world crisis. I don’t think there is an industry that hasn’t felt some kind of crisis, so it is in the fashion industry, which is a big challenge for fashion brands and designers as well.

During the pandemic, the fashion industry makes great efforts to maintain a perfect balance of production and concentration of purchasing power. The current volume of production may have been reduced, but believe me, the love for fashion has remained absolutely has not changed at all.

How will I remember Autumn – Winter 2020? Honestly, I am happiest that, thank God, I am healthy and that I had the opportunity to share my love for fashion with my readers. I regularly receive emails and messages on social networks from my dear readers with similar question, and that is: “When will your new travelogues start?”.

I really can’t honestly give you the answer to that question because I really don’t know how the health situation will unfold and how it will affect travel in the future. Believe me, that famous thought passes through my mind at least once every day: “When will everything return to the old like before as used to be?”. It is no longer a problem with borders and the fact that there is no travel, but this “world quarantine” and constant changes in the law have begun to affect people’s mental health.

When I wonder why I am not able to go somewhere, I sincerely thank God after a few seconds that I am healthy and that I have the opportunity to rest and relax with my family in one place. Travel is a wonderful thing and for me it will always be a kind of non-formal education, but health and family will always be in the first place for me and it is something that has no price.

In today’s post, we’re hanging out again with my favorite fashion piece this season, I believe you’ve all remembered his name so far – Morris. To be honest, I don’t know which fashion piece I liked and repeated on the blog during one season, but with this jacket it’s different.

If you remember that special story of mine from the first fashion post about the Italian brand from Verona, the MooRER brand will remember how I wrote that this jacket fulfilled my unfulfilled dreams from Prague from a couple of years ago. Maybe that’s exactly why I’ve worn this jacket so many times, but I promise I’ll change soon! Thank you for your understanding! 🙂

MooRER is an Italian brand that won my heart in a short time and I am glad that we managed to find each other during this pandemic and make a wonderful and interesting collaboration.

Another Italian brand that you had the opportunity to meet last week on my blog, which is known for handmade real small leather art masterpieces, is the Restelli Guanti gloves factory.

This week, I present you another model of gloves from this interesting family brand that has passed on its love for gloves and share for generations. I extremely appreciate and respect brands with this tradition that have survived on the market for years, and I am always glad when I manage to help them at least a little, especially in these difficult times.

In the fashion world, every piece has its own unique story, which really provides a special charm. These gloves are made of a perfect combination of cashmere and soft deerskin. Ideal for any fashion combination, whether you are getting ready for work or a business meeting or you may have decided to spend a day in a relaxed walk, these gloves are ideal for the cold days that follow us during autumn and winter.

You haven’t been able to see the roll neck sweater and jeans on the blog so far because I jealously kept it for colder days and finally put on my new refined pieces of wool and cashmere with which these lower temperatures passed me more easily than in previous years.

The roll neck sweater you can see in today’s post came to my wardrobe from faraway Scotland made by the skilled hands of a team from the Johnstons of Elgin brand who made it true for me to spend this winter in trend and to spend my days in Berlin comfortably, even with an open jacket.

Believe me, since I always have problems with regulating my body temperature, I have been buttoned up to my throat in the winter for years, and I always have a feeling of cold, while other people can only wear a sweater, I will always have a jacket over. This year I have to admit I gave up a bit so I walked around with an open jacket, which may be a small step for humanity, but too big not to say a giant step for one Marko!

OUTFIT

The outfit is made up of products from the new Johnstons of Elgin and MooRER collection for autumn-winter 2020/21. In the list below you can find links for each product from today’s post.

News for all of you, since I regularly get questions, do I have a discount code, I asked Johnstons of Elgin and they came out with my own personal code “MT10” you have a special 10% discount on the entire offer of Johnstons of Elgin products. You get a discount, I don’t have any kind of commission, I tried to do that for all my readers to get a discount on the entire collection of this Scottish brand and to enjoy the beauty of wool and cashmere this season.

Jacket: MooRER

Roll Neck Sweater: Johnstons of Elgin

Gloves: Restelli

Trousers: Loro Piana

Sneakers: MooRER

MooRER and Johnstons of Elgin are brands that try to make each piece with great care and you can really feel it when you worn their products. Their models are extremely comfortable, practical and wearable for any occasion, whether it is the clothes you need for every day and work, up to those slightly more formal occasions.

I would like to take this opportunity to draw your attention to the self care and protection of yourself and your beloved ones. Let’s prevent the spread of the Corona virus and try to make this situation one day just one bad dream that we have successfully forgotten.

Since I made these photos outdoors and I stick to the prescribed physical distance of 2 meters, I didn’t need to wear masks, but I wear a mask indoors and regularly buy hand sanitizers in small packages so I can always carry them with me.

Dear my fashionistas, we have come to the end of this special fashion story about the Autumn charm of Berlin. How did you like this outfit of mine that I walked the streets of Berlin today? I have prepared this outfit for you with a lot of love and I hope you like it! See you in a couple of days with a new story from Germany!

If you have a question, comment, suggestion or message for me, you can write me down in the comments. Of course, as always you can contact me via mail or social media channels, which you can find on the CONTACT page. See you soon with another interesting story!

Fashion Diaries: The Secret lies in finding the right accessories…

Dear my fashionistas, good morning and welcome to my blog. Difficult times have come and instead of counting down to the holidays that are getting closer to us, we live in fear that we will be healthy the next day. At the very beginning of the post I would draw your attention to be careful and to look out for others. I think that each of us has a conscience, and if you feel bad, stay at home and let’s hope that this health catastrophe will pass soon and that we will all see the light at the end of the tunnel together.

Today, this cold November Tuesday, I am sharing with you another fashion story from the streets of Berlin. November is sometimes really the last month of the year when we can take advantage of the weather and walk some of our favorite fashion pieces that occupy a special place in our closets. In my case, it would certainly be – a Trench Coat!

In the previous post, you had the opportunity to see a navy blue trench coat, but today I will show you a honey-colored trench coat, which is one of the most famous and best-selling colours of the fashion house Burberry.

I remember when I got my first Burberry coat which I still keep today, but if someone had told me I would get a similar coat few years later, I really couldn’t believe it.

In addition to this favorite piece of mine that has refreshed my fall wardrobe for this and next seasons to come, I am also looking forward to some new unexpected details that have enriched my outfit today.

The watch is known as the best fashion accessory for every man. There is a quote: “Show me what kind of watch you wear and I’ll tell you who you are.” Every man determines his style, and fashion accessories are the ones that determine the direction in which that style will develop.

A wristwatch is much more than just a time indicator. A watch is a piece of art that adorns the hand of every man and woman and depicts the personality of the person wearing it. When buying a watch, the most important thing is to forget about trends and find yourself and stay consistent with yourself and your style.

Today I decided to show you a new watch in my collection – Epos Originale 3420 SK – an elegant automatic skeleton watch in an extremely thin edition.

The Epos company was founded in 1925 when Mr. James Aubert founded his own watch factory “James Aubert SA” in Vallée de Joux, a valley in the Jura Mountains that many consider to be the “cradle” of mechanical watches and is located in the Swiss canton of Vaud (Waadt).

Mr. Aubert was a passionate mechanical watch engineer, who dedicated his life to the development of new watch mechanisms. He was a top master of his craft and spent most of his efforts focusing on the technical development of chronographs and minute tutors.

He passed on his true love for watches and his knowledge to his son-in-law, Jean Filion, who then became the leading manufacturer of EPOS watches for many years. Mr. Filion has continued the tradition and made great strides in the innovations that have made this brand so unique in the market.

In the early 1980s, the success story of the traditional Swiss watch stagnated. New quartz technology has radically changed the true face of the watch industry. There were almost no brands that wanted to produce classic mechanical watches, with the exception of a few luxury watch brands.

Peter Hofer, a longtime expert in Swiss watch production, was one of the few who still believed in the future of mechanical watches. Believing in this vision, his wife Erna, as the biggest support, decided to found their own company in 1983: Montres EPOS SA.

Their only property was exclusively a passion for mechanical watches and all the necessary technical knowledge to create mechanical masterpieces.

Personal contacts with key people in the Swiss watch industry, as well as extensive knowledge of the global watch market, have enabled Peter Hofer to successfully develop his own brand. From the very beginning, Hofer was supported by Jean Fillon, who was the driving force behind many interesting EPOS innovations.

During 20 years of his work, Hofer has remained true to his vision, developing stunning collections that include fascinating mechanisms in collaboration with Mr. Fillon.

In the early 2000s, Peter Hofer sought successors who shared his indescribable passion for mechanical watches.

New business partners in EPOS are the Chonge-Forster family, a family with deep roots in the Swiss watch industry: Ursula Forster, who became the new president of the company, comes from a family with a long and rich tradition in the production of Swiss watches. Her husband, Tamdy, who has taken over as CEO, has been working in the top positions in the Swiss watch industry for many years.

Together, they took over the company from Mr. Peter Hofer in 2002 and have since developed the EPOS brand, expanding their product portfolio and expanding internationally. Building on the long legacy and knowledge selflessly invested in the company, they have always focused on creating highly sophisticated mechanical masterpieces at affordable prices, remaining true to the company’s slogan: Art in the watchmaking world.

After this interesting story about time and tradition in Switzerland, where time is highly valued, we move briefly to the most famous cradle of fashion – Italy.

There is no person in the world who cannot hide his joy when he smells the new Italian skin. Today I present to you the most famous workshop that creates real small leather masterpieces. Welcome to the Restelli workshop where the art, tradition and beauty of handicrafts meet.

Now let’s all imagine this picture together: “Milan, 1920 and a glove shop near the Duomo”. At the same time, they made personalized gloves in according to the wishes and tastes of each customer.

At that time, gloves were a symbol of elegance and sophistication, an irreplaceable fashion accessory for all occasions. Piero Restelli soon realized that his passion, handwork with the best and most precious types of leather and deep respect for craft production were just the beginning of a long successful journey that would reshape the glove industry.

The factory was founded with its own leather reserves, which played a very important role in the leather processing process, over time production began to increase. The success of this small family company goes further and takes us to the early 50s when Piero Restelli Jr. and his wife, young and determined, presented their special collection of sportswear…

Soon, on the streets of Milan and throughout Italy, waterproof gloves made of the highest quality peccary leather covered with warm opossum fur became a symbol of the Italian “Jet Set” of high society and Restelli became a world-famous brand.

Making gloves is not only a job but also a real art. Passion, emotions, tradition and knowledge have been passed on to the third generation after 100 years! Rafaela Restelli has fully accepted the challenges of the new fashion era in which the market and the way of selling have changed with deep respect and belief in tradition and love for beautiful masterpieces that last!

Restelli gloves are not valued with money, but with a tradition and history full of love and patience that have no price.

I believe that today we have all recognized something beautiful in these stories, and that is respect for and preservation of tradition, following innovations in step with the times and dedication that has no price.

Work, effort and discipline are the three basic things that are needed to maintain in any business. Of course, there are also those moments when happiness, belief in one’s work and dedication play an important role.

The COVID-19 health situation brought difficulties to everyone, the world stopped and just started to develop and return to normal, but the new wave that started in Europe during October 2020 resulted in another wave that affects the development and survival of many industries.

In Germany, the economy began to recover, but with this renewed “quarantine” many people lost their jobs. Some world experts believe that the damage caused by the Corona virus will be significantly greater because many people have lost their jobs and many companies have closed their doors. Do you know how many families were left without income?

Picard, a brand that you have had the opportunity to see on my blog for years, are the famous leather backpacks that kept me company on my travels around the world. My new Picard buddy, we can call him Relaxed We decided to keep each other company on the streets of Berlin while we wait for this health situation to calm down and wait for better days to continue our traveling adventures.

Picard Relaxed is great for every day because it is big enough that I can take everything I need to do my daily duties around the city. The big advantage is the new special lining material that prevents the spread of radiation so you can carry various types of electronic devices without fear that some of the devices will affect your credit card or mobile phone.

My problem sometimes is that I get attached to some things and I am ready to wear them a couple of times in a row. This is exactly what happened with the things of the fashion house MooRER, and from a lot of things which I got, I became attached to brown pieces for now, trying to move to another world of colors.

I would like to take this opportunity to draw your attention to the self care and protection of yourself and your loved ones. Let’s prevent the spread of the Corona virus and try to make this as just one bad dream that we have successfully forgotten.

Since I made these photos outdoors and I respected all the prescribed physical distance of 2 meters, I didn’t need to wear mask, but I wear a mask indoors and regularly buy hand sanitizers in small packages so I can always carry them with me.

Fashion Diary: Red color is perfect for all seasons!

Dear fashionistas, welcome to my new post. A few days ago, we enjoyed the natural beauties of Divcibare, but now it’s time for me to return to the streets of urban city. Today it’s time for a new post from a special fashion series of posts called “Fashion Diary”.

A couple of weeks ago, you had the opportunity to see one classic color palette that will be worn this summer and learn a couple of useful tips on how to maintain your cotton clothes in the best possible way. If by any chance you did not manage to read my previous post from this series of posts or you want to learn tricks for maintaining a cotton wardrobe, do so by clicking on this link.

Regardless of this current health situation in whole world, our Belgrade has not lost its shine. People slowly but surely decide to take occasional walks through the streets of the capital and enjoy the nice weather. When foreigners ask me the famous question: “Why do you love Belgrade?” my answer is pretty simple – because it has a soul!

We may not be developed like some other famous European metropolises, we may not have a high standard of living, but the art of managing the life, the way we look at life and cordiality sets us apart from others! We, Serbs, are truly a united people, and through the interviews I conducted for my column on the blog “My Side of the World”, most of my interlocutors, and even some foreign statesmen, stated that Serbs are definitely a unique and unrepeatable people!

In the previous fashion story, you saw how a neutral palette of pastel colors like beige and shades of brown with white match perfectly, while today you will see how that same white color blends in with the bright coral-red color.

What do we know about red color? Have we ever wondered how the phenomenon lies behind this color? Red is a color that can represent two completely different extremes. It can be a symbol of passionate love, seduction, adventure on the one hand and violence, danger, on the other hand. Our prehistoric people precisely believed that the color red represents fire and blood – the energy of one side and the primordial life forces on the other side. Everything that is associated with this color today comes from powerful associations in the past of our ancestors.

Red is also a magical and religious color. The ancient Greeks symbolized superhuman heroism and Christian crucifixion with red color. The color red was almost uniformly rare and expensive as purple in ancient times – which may explain its magic and power.

Did you know that red is one of the two favorite colors of almost all people in the world. Red is the most common color used on flags in the world. An interesting fact is that almost 80% of all flags include red color. Red is an international color that is a symbol of stopping.

The famous “Red Quarters” in the world that sell sexual pleasure and pornography in every European culture are symbolized by the color red color, which means that we are returning to passion. The history of human language reveals that red was the first color to appear after black and white. All languages have words for black and white. If there is a third shade believe me it is red!

In a previous blog post, I listed some of the colors that will be trending this summer and among them was coral red and bright red (which my mom would say “young red color”). I decided to “respect” the fashion laws in my own way.

You had the opportunity to see fashion details from this post, such as backpacks and sneakers, in some of the previous posts, I just tried to keep them nice and here we are again on the streets of Belgrade. The pieces of clothing are new and I hope to make some more interesting combinations with them this summer.

The most ordinary red T-shirt will always find some perfect classic pants or jeans and make us a “fashion icon”. White pants are ideal for summer, but only if you carefully choose where to sit because not all surfaces are best friends with snow white color!

Loro Piana Fashion Diary: An interesting outfit that you can wear this summer

Dear my fashionistas, welcome to my new post. At the very beginning of the post, I would like to thank you for the suggestions you would like to see as a guest in the new section on the blog “My side of the world”.

I managed to contact a large number of celebrities and to our great satisfaction this summer we will enjoy traveling with our dear people from public life. Don’t worry, there will be people from various spheres, from people from cultural and public life to politicians. Believe me it will be very interesting summer on Mr.M blog!

Today I decided to share with you a fashion post with one fashion outfit that can serve as inspiration for these summer days. I’m sure most of us are shocked by these weather changes.

The previous days are proof that summer has officially come to Europe and, of course, the high temperatures that are characteristic of this period. I believe that not all of us want to talk about fashion, but we must do our best to take care of each other and hope that the pandemic will come to an end soon.

The Coronavirus has spread all over the world and there is no country in Europe that has not seen a re-emergence of COVID 19 patients during the month of June. I would appeal to everyone to adhere to health measures and to wear masks indoors (shopping malls, shops, bakeries, restaurants) and transportation.

During this painting, I tried to take all the pictures outdoors with social distance. If you think that it will not help you at all, then at least think of your loved ones, I am sure that each of you in your household has people who are susceptible to the consequences that this virus can cause, and these are people over 65, people with weakened immunity. and health problems and children. Thank you for taking care of your health!

What are your “fashion” associations for the summer? As always, I will be honest with you, so I will say: Good iron, cotton, viscose and linen… First of all, the most important thing is that each of us feels comfortable in his clothing combination, because the summer heat can sometimes be unbearable. During the summer, each of us has problems with sweating to a greater or lesser extent. Because of that, the most important thing is to choose the right materials that would allow the skin to breathe!

As I said at the beginning of the previous paragraph, materials like cotton, viscose and linen are the “fashion symbols” of summer, but not every material is the same. When we talk about cotton, it is the material when the most important is the final way of processing or whether, in addition to cotton, some other material will be found in the composition of a clothing product.

Cotton is a material that is easily crumpled and I am sure that each of us had situations in life when he spent half an hour (if not more) ironing cotton things, you did not even leave your home, and the garment was crumpled…

I have one little trick to use for cotton shirts and I will sadly reveal it to you. I believe that you used to wash the curtains in your life and that you noticed that when you put the starch on, the curtains fall easily and do not crease! It is the same with cotton shirts (I’ve already tried with the linen-cotton trousers, but it all depends on the thickness of the material), once or a maximum of twice during the season, add starch and your long-lasting memory basket during washing and it will be less crumpled.

Of course, ironing is also a very important thing, when you iron cotton items, adjust the temperature of the iron to lower temperatures, and in that way you will choose creasing during ironing and you will not damage the material. You’re welcome! 🙂

What colors are in trend this summer? In addition to the standard pioneers in the fashion industry such as white, beige, nude, navy blue and red, there are also some colors that have performed color variations with the addition of new ones. The colors that are also current this summer season are: coral pink (a mixture of bright red and bright pink, a very interesting combination), saffron (a combination of orange and yellow), dark onion green (chive), turquoise green and for the end a light blue color, but that shade of faded jeans color.

I decided that my post today would be in standard beige – nude – white. This clothing combination represents everyday casual sporty elegance for men.

The story behind this outfit?

You had the opportunity to see the fashion details from this post, such as glasses and sneakers, last summer, they were just nicely maintained and here we are again on the streets of Belgrade. The pieces of clothing are new and I hope to make some more interesting combinations during this period. A white shirt will always find some perfect classic pants or jeans that can be elegantly tucked in and make us a “fashion icon”. The cut of the pants and that “baggy” moment is a facilitating fashion detail that will make several summer walks easier along the way.

What is Fashion? The Elegant Secession Style of Northern Serbia…

My dear travellers and fashionistas, welcome to my new post. How are you today? Have you managed to get back into the normal life after this lockdown time? I am sure that we were all relieved that the authorities decided to relax the measures and return our lives to normal, to which we are all accustomed.

These days, I was thinking about where I could go and clear my mind a little, and along the way learn something new about my country. Researching on the Internet, I found a lot of recommendations with places in Serbia which you have to visit. I have to admit that I was delighted with the photos of Serbia and in the end I decided that I should visit the northernmost city in Serbia – Subotica.

Throughout history, many names have been used to describe the beauty of this city. During the turbulent history, the city changed about 200 names. You must be wondering why?

Subotica is a city where people of different ethnic origins lived from the Middle Ages until today, and it was also under the rule of several different conquering forces. It is interesting that all the inhabitants wrote about Subotica and gave the name of the city in accordance with the spelling and grammar rules of their language, but in most cases, they have not changed the way they are pronounced until today.

Today’s Serbian name of the city of Subotica comes from the word that means the day of the week “Saturday” and first officially appears in the middle of the 17th century.

However, the opinion of the inhabitants is that the town was named after Subotica Vrlić, the treasurer of Emperor Jovan Nenad. Of course, as always, there are more legends that have been passed down from generation to generation and more sources of information, but I think that these two assumptions about the origin of the name of the city of Subotica are true. Do you perhaps know what was the official first name of this city?

Some historical writings prove to us that the first officially documented name of the town was Zabatka, which dates from the 15th century. There are various theories of the history of the origin of this name. According to one of the theories, it is actually one of the variants of today’s name of the city in the Hungarian language, which reads Szabadka.

In accordance with this theory, this word derives from the adjective Szabad, which in Hungarian means “free” and the suffix “-ka”, which is interpreted as a diminutive. Therefore, in the free translation of the original name of today’s Subotica, we can interpret it as a “small” or “freely place”.

The building you have the opportunity to see in the pictures is the amazing palace of the architect Ferenc Reichl, which was built at the beginning of the 20th century. This palace was his home and design bureau at the same time. This building is made in the style of the unique Hungarian Art Nouveau and really represents a masterpiece.

Today, this building is a protected cultural asset and a cultural monument. I will write more information about this landmark in the next post when I take you on a tourist walk through beautiful Subotica.

The city radiates a special energy and all the time I had the feeling that I was in another country. Believe me, I had the impression that I was in a charming Austrian town. My photographer and I were the real attractions in the city for a very short time because no one took pictures, and I had a quite interesting equipment, so it was interesting for people to see what we were doing.

One lady who went to the supermarket with her daughter recognized me and did not believe that she would meet me in her city. The lady was so wonderful that I couldn’t refuse her kindly invitation for coffee, so my photographer and I had an unexpected break.

Since you know that I always share some interesting information with you and my personal observations, I have to tell you one interesting thing. The lady who took us for coffee and lemonade to one pastry shop that had wonderful ice cream. Unfortunately, due to this situation with COVID-19, they can’t make cakes at the moment, but we enjoyed the beautiful sweet summer treats like ice cream.

The thing that amazed me was the price of ice cream, coffee and lemonade… Will you believe me that a scoop of ice cream costs less than 50 cents (euro) dinars and a cone costs around 20 cents… A glass of lemonade 50 cents is also the same price of coffee… I have to admit I was in shock because in my hometown – Belgrade the prices are drastically higher. I didn’t believe it when I got the bill, I thought they didn’t calculate something well, everyone noticed that I was surprised, so they explained me.

I think you now have more reason to visit the northernmost city in Serbia and enjoy the beauty of the city and to refresh yourself a little and take a little sweet break while summarizing your impressions of Subotica.

This nice weather allowed me to “walk” through Subotica my new one and I have to admit a very sensitive jacket made of suede leather who has shown itself very well because you know how difficult leader things made of suede leather are hard for keeping it clean and fresh for a longer time.

I promise you that in the next post I will tell you a story about Subotica and that there will be a lot of interesting information and advice on what you should visit if the road leads you to Subotica!

Belgrade Diaries: Sometimes good Things take Time…

My dear fashionistas and travellers, how are you today? I am sitting in this quarantine and thinking something about how the life was nice and easy at once, but Corona came and spoiled all the plans which we had…

But what about this “business” love of the Corona era? The main question is: “Do you still have your job?”. I am sure you have heard the various answers to this famous question, and I believe that the Corona has deeply penetrated and infected all sectors, but we have to admit that the service industry has suffered the most. The restaurants and cafes are closed, who managed to make a deal with the food delivering companies, succeeded and that’s it! The hotels are empty, the planes are grounded and the question is when they will fly again.

Of course, after returning to normal flight schedule there will again be problems because of the low occupancy of the aircraft as the recommendations of health organizations must be followed. Planes will fly at 20 to 30 percent occupancy, ticket prices will logically be drastically more expensive than before. The main question is: How long will all this really take?

Are you used to this “forced” vacation or to work from home, where you don’t even know when it’s day and night. The Corona is leaving chaos behind, many thousands of lives have been extinguished, the “river of people” has lost their jobs, and “Niagara Falls” will just collapse into Labor Department Offices around the world… And then we wonder if there is so much famine in the world that it is the guy in Wuhan had to eat that bat? And we were persuaded that people in China just eat dogs… A bit of black humor was out of the ordinary at the time of the Corona…

Otherwise, how do you “kill” time in isolation? Do you build tolet paper towers? Record some clips for Tik Tok? Do you get to know your family little better? Some studies say that during these emergencies, the highest rate of divorce and a large number of confirmed pregnancies. It would be a fine distinction between love and hate…

I stopped watching television, no one knows exactly how long this situation will last, tragedies on all sides around the world, so I decided to do some interesting things and devote myself to some of my hobbies that I neglected because of my daily work and travel.

Will our habits change after COVID – 19? Honestly, I do not know. I think it will affect our consciousness to change to some extent. Still guided by the famous quote: “The wolf changes his coat, but not his nature“, I don’t think we will be able “to keep” Anne Frank’s diary for long time, and will soon embrace freedom when the opportunity arises. Perhaps one thing will change though, at least for a short while, we will not take liberty for granted.

It may be best to put on the most beautiful fashion accessory these days, which costs nothing but is worth a lot – our smile and hope for the best. Fashion is art about playing with fashion details, each of us has the right to choose his own way of dressing and to find his place under the hot fashion sun.

As you know I always try to combine some outfits that I have for quite some time with some new details and so I decided to take this linen jacket out today again and welcome some nice days in my favourite sneakers that may be difficult to maintain but are but dear to the heart. As in life, man loves some things that are harder and more unusual, these are some of the little joys of life.

Belgrade Diaries: The Avala mountain, a Faithful Guardian of Serbian History…

My dear travellers and fashionistas, how are you today? I sincerely hope that you are well and that you have been able to find some kind of fun during this situation called COVID-19 (Coronavirus). I am not going to give you any advice on how to spend your time during this ongoing alarming worldwide situation, I just want to ask you how much you can abide by the regulations currently in force during this state of emergency.

This is a time we need to spend with family and stay in touch with friends and the outside world via telephone and other online forms of communication which we successfully use nowadays.

In my previous posts, I did my best to find that it was primarily because of people who wanted to learn more about the sights of Belgrade, such as the Gardos Tower that forms the heart of Zemun on the banks of Danube and Topcider Park, which remained known as Prince Milos Obrenovic’s favorite green oasis. Today I wanted to introduce to you the most famous Belgrade “mountain”.

Avala is a hill located in the southeastern part of Belgrade, and just over 16 kilometers from the heart of the city, you have the opportunity to enjoy exceptional views of Belgrade, Vojvodina and Sumadija. Belgrade’s most famous “mountain” is 511 meters high.

In the Middle Ages, the town of Zrnov was located at the very top of Avala. In the 15th century, Zrnov was conquered and under siege by the Ottoman Empire, which built a brand new city and renamed it “Havale,” a word that comes from the Arabic language and means an obstacle.

Avala has been on the list of protected government properties since 1859 as a natural monument and a site of exceptional cultural and historical importance of Belgrade. It was not until 2007 that Avala entered the circle of protected green spaces of the city of Belgrade.

The mountain was declared a national park in 1936. A few years later, Avala was granted the status of public good of general interest and the administration was assigned to the Government of the Republic of Serbia. In the mid-1960s, more precisely 1965, the 202-meter-high Avala Tower was built, one of the tallest buildings in the Balkans. The tower was unfortunately destroyed in the 1999 NATO bombing of Serbia.

Fortunately, with the Government’s decision, the reconstruction began in 2006 and the officially new Avala Tower was opened to the public on April 21, 2010. The new tower is the best replica of the destroyed one, and once again Avala has been given the opportunity to confirm its title of Belgrade’s most famous picnic and relaxation area.

On the Avala, you can also find the Monument to the Unknown Hero, the Monument to the Soviet War Veterans, the Memorial Park, the Monument to Vaso Carapic.

The beautiful forest, the restored tower and the Monument to the Unknown Hero are indisputably symbols of present-day Avala, however, older generations know that the well-preserved fortress of the medieval town of Žrnovo once stood on the foundations of the Monument to the Unknown Hero.

At the request and order of the king, the remains of the fort were destroyed by dynamite with the desire to erect a new Monument to the Unknown Hero on the remains. There has been public debate as to why King made such a decision, but no real conclusion was reached. I would like to share with you the fact that at the time, not far from the new one, there was already a Monument to the Unknown Hero, but it was also demolished. Only the cross left in the church in Beli Potok remains today.

A new monument to an unknown hero at the top of Belgrade’s Avala Mountain symbolizes the great plight of a country. Have you ever wondered who is the Unknown Hero resting on Avala?

It’s one boy whose childhood was violently interrupted in 1915 when he was hit by a grenade. Sculptor Ivan Mestrovic wanted to display a symbol of five centuries of slavery under the Turks with sculptures marking the different nationalities of the former republics in Yugoslavia…

On the other hand, many believe that the monument to the Unknown Hero was used not to give official meaning to the mysterious hero, but to display Serbian history with jeweled numerous Masonic symbols. Many today believe that King Alexander and Ivan Mestrovic were Freemasons.

Whether the Monument to the Unknown Hero is in fact, a grand Masonic symbol built for reasons unknown to us, or as many believe, is just one confirmation of the adherence to the idea of unification, by which King Aleksandar Karadjordjevic tried to prove his loyalty to the Yugoslavs… This is a secret we may succeed to find out, but one thing is inevitable Avala is a symbol of Belgrade that we can be proud of.

I will say that I made good use of one day and had the opportunity to learn more about Avala. As in past posts after a “walk” through history, I have to tell you something about my outfit.

When you are a blogger it is always a great honor for you to feel immense happiness and satisfaction when you get an invitation for collaboration with a brand that builds its story for years and invites you to be part of that fashion story. I don’t know if you’ve heard of the WELLENSTEYN brand, but it’s one of the more famous luxury German fashion brands. You may have been wearing it for years, but do you know the story behind this brand?

The history of the Wellensteyn brand began, sometime around the 1960s in Germany, but today this brand can be seen in stores across the United States and North America.

Then, sixty years ago, Adolf Wuttke was a manufacturer of mechanical instruments used to plunge into the depths of the North Sea. He always tried to be close with his customers, in the right way to find out what they wanted. Of course, he was always a welcome guest at the docks and shipyards that used his instruments every day.

After a while he noticed the need for adequate work clothes that would not only be part of the work uniform, but also possess a certain elegance. He did not want to create any kind of clothing, his vision was to produce the best jackets for men. That’s exactly what he did!

He created a straight line of stylish jackets and coats that were unique because they were made of special waxed materials that will withstand wind and rain, while keeping every worker at the dock safe from all natural disasters.

The company was taken over by Adolf’s son Thomas. Nowadays, the Wellensteyn fashion brand also has a women’s collection, with a number of different jacket styles that will give you exceptional comfort and impeccable elegance in any season.

The brand fosters a style of functional elegance, where I decided to introduce you a model from their new Spring-Summer 2020 collection. In the following posts you will have the opportunity to see some more interesting models.

Urban Elegant Spring at Gardos

My dear travellers and fashionistas, how are you today? I hope you are beingware and have taken some precautions because of this new situation with the Corona virus. We need to be aware that this is only the beginning and that the Corona is a respiratory infection that can easily be infected by each of us and that it is just like any other flu. Of course, this is only the beginning of a pandemic and we must be prepared for the fact that there will be a large number of patients, it is important to remain alert and not to panic.

The Corona is dangerous for people in vulnerable groups, those who are already suffering from some autoimmune diseases, people with impaired immunity and the elderly people. All those who are sensitive to the flu, I remember five years ago when my grandmother died of the common flu that led to pneumonia at the age of 89. We need to be aware of the fact that this is a virus that will continue for some time. It is important not to panic and be adequately guarded, to maintain hygiene and to protect yourself well before going outside.

I decided to take pictures for a new post so I took the opportunity to visit one of the most important landmarks in Zemun – Gardos Tower. When looking at postcards and magnets that tourists can buy when visiting Belgrade, you cannot miss Kalemegdan, the Winner Statue and the Tower at Gardos.

Based on the traces and the remains found, the scientists concluded that some of the first settlements near Belgrade and Zemun were found near the Tower on Gardos. Today it is a historical monument where everyone can enjoy a beautiful view of the beautiful blue Danube and the Serbian capital, Belgrade .

This historic monument was built in the time of the Hungarian Monarchy, but to this day due to the great efforts of the authorities it has been preserved and we have the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of this extraordinary cultural monument.

Since my photographer came to Serbia because we were supposed to go on a planned trip to South America, but everything was canceled in the last minute due to the situation with the Corona virus, the photographer decided that he at least did not miss his flight to Serbia, so we considered some travel options in Serbia and Balkan region during March and April 2020.

So far, certain tourism organisations have been prepared to show their willingness and commitment to cooperate despite the current situation, which is why I am extremely pleased. I hope you enjoy the future posts that follow this spring.

Everyone who regularly follows my blog knows that my fashion posts are mostly educational and I will do my best to prove it this time. How did the Tower of Gardos begin? The famous tower in Zemun that adorns Gardos was built in 1896, when the Hungarians celebrated their 1000th anniversary of moving from the far Ural region to Europe. To mark this important anniversary, four millennium monuments have been built to mark the exact borders of Hungary on all sides.

The central millennium monument of this unusual composition, with statues of chiefs of the seven tribes who are the founders of the state and significant figures who have marked the rich Hungarian history, is today located on the Heroes Square in Budapest.

The tower on Gardos was built to mark the framed southern border of the Hungarian Monarchy and this is the only remaining monument outside the borders of the present-day People’s Republic of Hungary. Unfortunately, towers in Slovakia, Ukraine and Romania no longer exist.

Originally, this tower was named the Millennium Tower, due to marking one millennium, or 1,000 years since the arrival of the Hungarians in these areas. The Serbs who inhabited the present-day Zemun area had different names, but the most popular among the people was the name of the “Janka Sibinjan Tower”, after the famous historical figure Janos Hunjadi, who fought against the Turks and who was famous for his heroism and great deeds in many folk songs.

This name was widely accepted by the people and accepted by the Government after the First World War. Today’s name is Gardos Tower, named after the famous bank on which it was built more than a century ago.

Today, this place is the center of cultural and artistic events, so this time-honored beauty of Gardos has gained new meaning and splendor. Gardos Tower is the heart of Zemun on the bank of the Danube, which is open to visitors every working day from 10am to 7pm. I am sure you will enjoy it because the view from the tower is truly magnificent and unique.

For all the fashion lovers who follow my blog with great joy, I have to write some words about my today outfit, I hope my dear travellers will not take me wrong! 🙂

I’m sure you’ve noticed over the years, realistically, how and not when I’ve been repeating on social media as much as I really am a big fan and supporter of urban elegance where the trench coat is little more than a piece of clothing, but it’s an iconic cult of fashion!

Mr.M Fashion Guide: How to wear Iconic Leather Coat?

My dear fashionistas and travellers, how are you today? I think this winter has been the mildest for us so far, there was no snowfall that you have to admire. This year, we were alarmed by the Corona virus, which put us all in danger, I sincerely hope that the number of patients will be reduced and that a vaccine and adequate drugs will be found that will reduce the fatal outcome.

As I prepare for the Belgrade Tourism Fair, this year I will be the Destination Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, which is also the partner country of this year’s 42nd Belgrade Tourism Fair. If you are passing by, drop by the booth of the Arab Republic of Egypt to visit me and to talk about Egypt from February 20 to 23, and I would especially like to invite all those who are able to attend a special conference – a roundtable where Serbian journalists will show their sightings of Egypt. The roundtable will be held on February 22 starting at 12 am in Hall 4 (large conference room). I sincerely hope to see you soon! Drop by and say hello! 🙂

Today I am sharing with you an interesting fashion outfit post where you will have the opportunity to see the way I have combined one of the most fashionable pieces in the world right now – a leather coat. When you mention leather clothing, men first come to mind with some good leather jackets, of different lengths and models, but they are less common with leather coats, because sometimes they are not practical. Hand-to-heart, a leather coat requires a little more care and is not a practical piece of clothing if you have a lot of business to do during the day.

Fortunately, I took a day off before the hustle and bustle of meetings about organizing the Belgrade Tourism Fair to take pictures and write down some of my impressions of this outfit. In collaboration with my longtime fashion blog friend – Burberry, today I am able to show you one “eternal” piece from their new Spring-Summer 2020 collection. When I was picking outfits from the new collection, I tried to be unusual and authentic. Having been cooperating for over three years, I was able to feel the beauty of their famous gabardine, but this year I opted for a slightly different material – leather.

Because of my height, I have become a big fan of over-the-knee coats because I think the longer coats would “eat” me and I would look visually much lower. When you are wearing a leather garment you have to carefully consider the fact that you have to keep an eye on the weather forecast. The leather is very sensitive material and does not have good waterproof abilities, so it is important that you wear leather clothing in dry weather conditions, as some leather types may have water stains (most often in the case of velour type of leather).

Believe me, I learned this the hard way when I ruined my new velour leather trench at FIRST wearing because a terrible downpour hit me. Because the bright and light colour of the trench, dark rain stains remained on it. I wore it a couple of times so, after I painted it in navy colour, don’t ask better how it ended… I’m so sorry for that coat I still keep it in a special dust bag hanging in the closet, I’m just sorry to throw it away…

With this particular coat, the rain would not bother so much because it is a stronger calf box, this skin type is resistant, it is a little heavier, but it is of good quality. This coat is dark colour, so any traces of rain drops would not be easily seen on the surface. I stayed consistent with myself so I combined this “avant-garde” fashion piece with classic trousers and a turtle-neck collar sweater.

I have to admit that my only challenge was choosing the right shoes. First, I had some basic idea in my head that this coat should be combined with classic boots, but in the end my sneakers that I bought a few years ago in an outlet suddenly beat that first idea. I haven’t worn them for years, just tidied them up and placed them on my shoe shelf until they literally fell on my head today… I thought it wouldn’t be a bad thing for this fashion combination to get some casual note and make the combination not too serious.

I sincerely hope that I was able to bring out this iconic piece today. I may not be the Matrix, but it turned out nicely in the end, following my urban elegance style. See you in a couple of days with a new story, it might be interesting to do some cross-section of travel and make one short cross-section of the destinations I visited in 2019. I would love to hear your opinion and if you can give me some ideas.

There were some plans for new adventures in Asia earlier this year, but travel was delayed until the alarm because of Coronavirus disease, because tourism organizations did not want to put us bloggers at risk. I am try to organize some new journeys and I promise you will read some interesting stories on Mr.M blog, so I will do my best to organize something unusual and to please my dear readers with some interesting letters from some unusual parts of Africa and Europe.

Fashionable Scenes from Belgrade Life with Armani Exchange

My dear fashionistas, we are finally approaching the end of 2019. There are still a few hours left and the excitement is growing as we count down the last hours of this old year. I will remember this year as one of the most successful so far and I have made many memories to remember.

I just wish you all the best in 2020 and all your wishes come true. I sincerely hope that you can reach all your goals in the coming year and that 2020 will also fulfill all your expectations.

A lot of love, happiness and health this is the classic “package” of wishes that I wish everyone with heart, and the rest will come over time. If a person is healthy, happy and loved, everything else can be accomplished, it just takes some time.

A couple of days ago I decided to take pictures for a new fashion outfit post in collaboration with my friends from fashion houses Armani and Loro Piana. Today I am going to introduce to you one of the more affordable Armani fashion lines – Armani Exchange.

A | X Armani Exchange brand was launched in 1991 in the USA with the aim of selling fashion and lifestyle products. This fashion line has become known for provocative advertising campaigns.

Inspired by street fashion and the culture of street music, the Armani Exchange brand is recognized by consumers around the world as a significantly more affordable brand from Armani fashion family.

In order to accelerate the development of Giorgio Armani’s first fashion line, famous fashion maestro Giorgio Armani founded the joint venture Presidio Holdings in 2005 in partnership with Como Holdings, a company owned by Singaporean tycoon Ong Beng Seng. production and distribution of the A / X Armani Exchange fashion line in the United States, Canada, Central and South America, Asia and the Pacific region.

Initially, the Italian company Armani owned 25% of Presidio Holdings shares, with the remaining 75% in the hands of Como Holdings. Designer Giorgio Armani gained an additional 25% stake in 2008. In 2014, it gained the remaining 50% by securing full ownership of the brand, which has 270 stores and over 3,000 employees worldwide.

The Armani Exchange brand has opened its doors in Berlin, so you can go to Mall of Berlin and step into the world of the most famous designer Giorgio Armani just to see how Mr. Armani makes his street wear brand Armani Exchange.

I was tasked with fitting this jacket from the latest Armani Exchange winter collection with my style that is known as a kind of urban classic.

When I received my fashion pack of iconic pieces that I had to combine, I knew that this jacket would surely find its way to my heart!

I decided to combine this urban street, sportive piece with classic trousers and turtleneck swater instead of jeans or tracksuit as many people perceive this brand to be the best way to bring out this fashion piece.

My first goal was just to get my photographer out on the river and take some interesting pictures for this fashion outfit. It wouldn’t be me if I not decide to add some detail in my favorite color, we all realized by now that it was red. This time it was a simple red scarf, which was made in a beautiful shade of red that certainly refreshed this combination. Also there were some interesting red details which you can find on my backpack.

Blue colour has always been a symbol of covert elegance and has always been the best replacement for the famous black which is synonymous with eternal elegance. The color navy (dark blue) is the new black!

This post will also officially be my last blog post in 2019 and you will soon see little changes to the blog that you will like! I have prepared something new for you and the blog will change its concept and design, but the content will remain original and consistent with my style that started this whole story almost five years ago…

As time goes by, who would say, but here is my blog celebrating its fifth birthday . Just a little while so we’re ready for school!

My dear fashionistas, we have come to the end of this post. This post would not have been possible without my friends from the Armani Exchange fashion brand, as well as the pioneer of the eternal Italian classic Loro Piana.
