Burberry: A Daily Dose of British Iconic Elegance that will make your day!

Dear my fashionistas, welcome to another October fashion adventure on the Mr.M blog! I hope that these unusual low temperatures, as well as this gloomy and rainy weather did not spoil your mood. Today we will get into the fashion time machine together and discover one of the unusual fashion pieces made by my favorite British fashion house Burberry.

Burberry is one of the most famous traditional British fashion houses that has patented its famous trenches and coats which are also a trademark of this fashion empire. I believe that everyone who has been following my blog for almost 6 years, knows my enthusiasm for this exceptional brand.

There is one interesting fact about big fashion houses that many people do not know or sometimes forget. All creations that marked the collection of a certain year and season are kept in the company’s archives. Because of my job, I had the opportunity to peek into the archival collections of certain fashion brands and I must admit that I am always delighted.

Today I present to you a real gem from the Burberry archive collection. Burberry trenches and coats represent the very top of world fashion fashion and have become iconic fashion classics of today. These coats were created by the founder of the Burberry company – Thomas Burberry more than 100 years ago, inspired by the British heritage, and at the same time introduced elements of urban fashion.

You can find all the classic Burberry coats in the basic 5 models: Legendary Kensington, Westminster, Chelsea, Waterloo and Pimlico. All models were named after city areas in London. What is the difference between these models?

The Kensington – a classic model with a modern cut that easily adapts to any silhouette. The most popular model, which is available in four basic colors: gray, navy blue, honey (camel) and black. Also, this model is made in two lengths.

The Westminster – a model that is oversized and lightly tailored for a draped silhouette. Basic colors: honey (camel) and dark military green (khaki). Also, this model is made in two lengths.

The Chelsea – a model characterized by a slim fit (narrow shape next to the body) with narrow shoulders and a cropped waist. The basic colors are honey and navy blue and it is also available in two lengths.

The Waterloo – A more comfortable cut, a longer model than the classic one with a subtle and relaxed cut, which is ideal for layered clothing. This model is made in three basic colors: chestnut, black and honey – camel and is available in only one length.

The Pimlico is a simple straight cut when adorned with a single-breasted button with a minimalist character and a modern cut. This model is usually made in navy blue, biscuit (biscuit color) and honey-camel color. This model is also available in only one classic length.

I would like to mention that all the listed colors are just classics that are always produced, but the Burberry company is introducing seasonal colors to enrich their offer.

Most Burberry coat models have been made in Castelford, Yorkshire for more than 50 years by hand from gabardine – a revolutionary fabric that Thomas Barberry proudly presented in 1879. Polished, light and practical, beautiful cotton resistant to various types of weather conditions, which has remained in the heart of the Burberry brand to this day.

The classic coat model originated and developed from the basic form of the Tielocken coat, which was patented in 1912 by Thomas Barberi. A simple yet sophisticated unique shape that has adapted over the years and become a recognizable Burberry coat.

Each Burberry trench is special and has its own story – one that is made to last and to write new pages of life chapters together with you. Coats and overcoats are an investment that pays off, it is also a gift for generations to come. Believe me, I know that from my own experience, because I inherited my first Burberry coat from my grandfather’s wardrobe before my blogging career, and today I gladly keep it and wear it on special occasions.

The leather coat that you have the opportunity to see in today’s post is special because it is made of the highest quality lambskin, which is especially thin with this model. This Kensington model is specific because it is filtered with the finest fluff and is double-lined with leather. Because of all this, the leather processing had to be different and the leather is significantly thinner than with classic Burberry leather coats.

I am glad that I got this exceptional opportunity to walk the streets of Berlin, this priceless piece that I did my best to enter because all the archive models are kept in runway sizes. Since you all know how often I complain about wider hips and my specific build, you will surely understand my “battle”.

My outfit today was complemented by two things that are very dear to me: the Ématelier watch and the Picard backpack.

You have had the opportunity to see this incredible Ématelier watch in previous posts, which, in addition to faithfully showing the time, is also a real master-piece of art that adorns the hand. My new friend Jaguar from the special collection “Kingdom” is a watch that was handmade in faraway Canada in the main workshop of Ématelier, a brand behind which stands a passionate watch lover, founder Alex Landa.

The quality and design of Picard accessories is amazing and after so many years and carrying pounds of luggage I carry my Picard backpacks in blog posts as well.

Today I present to you model Buddy, my friend from the new Picard collection who is keeping me company in Berlin this season, while we are ready to look forward to the new adventures that await us. This backpack is made of the highest quality leather, a classic design in black.

I really tried to prepare today’s post with a lot of love and I hope you will like it! See you in a couple of days with some new interesting story!

I advise you to listen to my advice due to the current health situation with the new variant of Corona virus – Lambda in almost all European and countries around the world. If you need to go out into the fresh air, take a walk and clear your mind and enjoy the charms of the autumn, feel free to do so, but do not go to places where there are a lot of people and thus encourage crowds.

If you have been vaccinated (both doses of the vaccine or even with third Booster dose) you need to wear a mask for your own safety. If you are abroad on vacation, I would ask you to respect local COVID-19 laws related to community health.

Tod’s: True Italian Elegance and Refined Style as the Prestige of Modern Luxury

My dear fashionistas, I hope you are ready for a new fashion adventure! Summer is an ideal period for fashion experiments, especially when the real art is to dress nicely, without consequences in the form of sweat stains that destroy every good will of a person to dress nicely. Today I will try to show you true Italian elegance and refined style with the help of the fashion house Tod’s.

Tod’s S.p.A. is a company specializing in the production of footwear, clothing and accessories with its brands Tod’s, Hogan, Fay and Roger Vivier. This fashion story is the about the work and effort of the Della Valle family.

This fashion journey began in the early twentieth century when Filippo Della Valle, a shoemaker with exceptional ideas and visions, made shoes in his kitchen at home. After some time and effort and work, Mr. Della Valle opens his shoe atelier.

In the late 1960s, his son Dorino, with the help of his wife, founded the first craft factory in Sant’Elpidio a Mare. The whole concept developed with the sale of women’s shoes in Germany and in department stores across USA.

In the 1970s, Dorina’s son Diego joined the company. Despite his great love for the United States, Diego returns to Italy with the idea of creating an innovative product with a brand name. In the early eighties, he got his chance and became the director of a family company, opening an office in Milan in 1980, creating a brand for women’s shoes “Diego Della Valle”, managing to convince some fashion designers of that time to wear them for free at fashion shows.

Tod’s produced the first moccasins with rubber pads and soles that initially took shape, like small rubber pins, and were designed for car drivers, primarily to make driving more comfortable and provide additional comfort to drivers.

The apostrophe – ‘, which has been present since the beginning of Tod’s era, was chosen with intent because of the advantage of simple pronunciation in all the languages of the world. In the early 1980s, Diego and his brother Andrea launched Tod’s brand and the first moccasins with a distinctive rubber sole composed of 133 small rubber pins, a long process that requires about 100 processing steps, many of which are done by hand.

Legend has it that the intuition came to Diego Della Valle, who, after returning from the United States, noticed the pilot’s moccasins during a long flight and returned to Italy trying to make new comfortable moccasins.

Tod’s as a brand stood out for its quality leather and models that come from craft shoemakers. Mr. Diego Della Valle’s idea was to create a shoe suitable for both formal and informal occasions, with a casual, comfortable, simple but refined taste.

Today, the Tod’s brand represents the pinnacle of Italian fashion and, in addition to footwear, produces clothes, knitwear and fashion accessories that have found their place in the hearts of celebrities all over Hollywood.

My current clothing combination is adorned with a leather jacket from the new collection for AW 2021/22, which is a classic timeless model and can always be found in the offer of the Tod’s brand.

If you want to be up to date and find out all the novelties that Tod’s fashion house is preparing for us, follow them on the social networks Facebook and Instagram.

Since we started today’s story with leather details, I will continue in that order and introduce you to my new friend with whom I hang out on the streets of Berlin and who helps me bring all the necessary things, such as a camera, laptop, chargers because I never know when let the battery let me down.

When you carry a lot of things with you every day, the most important thing is the quality and practicality of leather goods. In one of the previous posts, we had the opportunity to hang out with the StefanomanO brand, where I showed you one of their backpack models in a beautiful navy blue color.

StefanomanO is a family Italian brand of leather goods, mostly men’s and women’s bags and small leather leather goods. The brand was founded in 2005, with the special goal of carefully choosing a product handmade in Italy and expressing a contemporary style in a classic and informal light designed for the customer who cares about details, but also who does not give up comfort and quality. with an always refined and unique style.

The backpack you have the opportunity to see in today’s post is a special model with an adjustable flap, made of the finest woven calfskin in a dark brown color. This spacious backpack guarantees comfort and functionality with its internal and external pockets. During the photo shooting, this backpack was full of things and I have to admit that I am very satisfied with how elegant it looks and not to notice that I certainly have at least 6-7 kilograms of things inside and that it has not changed its shape.

This brand continuously conducts market research and modernization of production with the aim of creating bags with a high degree of functionality, light weight with an extremely practical purpose and spacious. The use of the finest leather and traditional craft tradition are special features of StefanomanO products and rank them among the most appreciated and unique brands on the market.

Today’s elegant outfit was completed by a watch from the Akylon collection of the art Swiss brand MUSE, which you had the opportunity to meet in one of the previous posts.

The case is made of 100% titanium in the color of rose gold, while the dial is made of aventurine, a type of quartz that is characterized by its transparency and the presence of mineral impurities in the form of platinum that give it a shimmering or shining effect called aventurescence.

My watch is adorned with an Elaphe bracelet in a bronze brown-gold color. The bracelet is made of Elaphe water snake skin, which does not belong to the protected species. For all additional information and news about MUSE watches, you can follow them on their official Facebook page and Instagram profile.

MUSE watches are for all art lovers with refined taste and a sense of aesthetics. The basic idea of the founders of the MUSE brand was to re-examine and present the representation of time through an artistic prism. Mr. Robert and Mr. Leuba replaced the traditional hands, so the hours, minutes and seconds are shown in special art forms inspired by elements of nature and architecture.

MUSE dials are a moving art, time passes and different formations and shapes are made. Watches have become real small pieces of art today, only technology and inspiration have made it possible to enjoy the beauty of shapes that change on the MUSE dial every minute.

Polo T-Shirt: Stenströms

The Stenströms Polo T-shirt made of the highest quality merino wool has a classic polo collar and a V-neck. This unusual, neutral brown color, someone will say the color taupe is ideal for all occasions and is easily compatible with other colors of similar shades.

I decided to show you how you can wear this T-shirt on occasions that do not require a strictly formal way of dressing, but if you want to achieve a more elegant look, you can wear this T-shirt on classic trousers.

My dear fashionistas, we have come to the end of this first special post where together we opened a new fashion chapter and started the story of the Italian brand Tod’s on the Mr.M blog! How did you like my outfit today?

I really tried to prepare today’s post with a lot of love and I hope you will like it! See you in a couple of days with some new interesting story!

If you need to go out into the fresh air, take a short walk and clear your mind, feel free to do so, but do not go to places where there are a lot of people and thus encourage the creation of crowds. If you have been vaccinated (both doses of the vaccine) you still need to wear a mask for your own safety.

The summer vacation season has begun and many have escaped from heat in the city and enjoy the summer at sea, I would ask you to respect local laws related to COVID-19 community health regulations. The process of vaccinating the population in Germany has begun and I believe that the situation will soon improve and that our lives will return to normal soon!
