Fashion Postcard from Istanbul: A Stylish Walk on the Turkish Cobbled Streets of Sultanahmet…

My dear fashionistas and travelers, today I am taking you again to Istanbul. In today’s fashion story, you will enjoy a stylish walk along the Turkish cobbled streets of the old part of Istanbul – Sultanahmet. This is the last fashion story from Istanbul, next week a shopping guide awaits you, I will try my best to give you the beauty of shopping in this imperial city on two continents.

Sultanahmet Square, once known as the Hippodrome of Constantinople, is today a square in Istanbul, in the immediate vicinity of which are the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. Previously, it was a circus that was the sports and social center of Constantinople, the capital of the Byzantine Empire. The word hippodrome comes from the Greek hippos (ippos) – horse and dromos – road. For this reason, it is sometimes called Atmeidanı (“Horse Square”) in Turkish. Horse and chariot racing were popular pastimes in the ancient world, and hippodromes were common features of Greek cities in the Hellenistic, Roman, and Byzantine periods.

From Taksim Square to Sultanahmet Square, it is very easy to get there with the help of the tram, and in a few stops you will be in the center of the old city.

The Blue Mosque of Istanbul, also known by its official formal name, Sultan Ahmed Mosque, is a historic Ottoman-era imperial mosque located in the center of the old part of the city. A functional mosque, it also attracts a large number of tourists. It was built between 1609 and 1616 during the reign of Ahmed I.

Its Kulije contains Ahmed’s grave, a madrasa and a hospice. Hand-painted blue tiles adorn the interior walls of the mosque, and at night the mosque is bathed in blue as lights frame the mosque’s five main domes, six minarets and eight side domes. It is located next to Hagia Sophia, the main mosque in Istanbul until the construction of the Blue Mosque and another popular tourist spot. In 1985, the Blue Mosque was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List under the name “Historic Areas of Istanbul”.

Hagia Sophia (literal translation ‘Holy Wisdom’), officially the Great Mosque Hagia Sophia is a mosque and the main cultural and historical site in the old part of the city. The cathedral was originally built as a Greek Orthodox church that lasted from 360 AD until the conquest of Constantinople by the Ottoman Empire in 1453. It served as a mosque until 1935, when it became a museum. Two years ago, in 2020 to be exact, Hagia Sophia became a mosque again.

The current building was built by the Eastern Roman emperor Justinian I as a Christian cathedral in Constantinople for the state church of the Roman Empire between 532 and 537, and was designed by the Greek geometers Isidore of Miletus and Anthemius of Tralus. The official name of the church was the Church of the Holy Wisdom. It is considered the epitome of Byzantine architecture and is considered to have “changed the history of architecture”.

The current Justinian building was the third church of the same name to occupy the site, since the previous one was destroyed in the riots in Nicaea. As the episcopal seat of the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, it remained the largest cathedral in the world for almost a thousand years, until the Cathedral of Seville was completed in 1520. Beginning with later Byzantine architecture, the Hagia Sophia became the paradigmatic form of the Orthodox Church and its architectural style modeled on Ottoman mosques a thousand years later. It has been described as “occupying a unique position in the Christian world” and as an architectural and cultural icon of Byzantine and Orthodox civilization.

Since we got acquainted with the history of this old part of the Istanbul, it’s time to write a few words about my outfit. Today we are again meeting with the famous Italian fashion house Roberto Cavalli.

Roberto Cavalli is a famous Italian luxury fashion company founded by designer Roberto Cavalli in Osmannore, Florence, during the 1970s. This brand has become famous in the fashion world for its colorful animal prints on leather and textiles. In recent years, under the leadership of Roberto Cavalli, the new interior design division Roberto Cavalli Home debuted at the 2012 Salone del Mobile.

Today we reunite with the Italian family-owned glove workshop Restelli, a place where art, tradition and the beauty of handicrafts meet every day, which is the true definition of Italian style and way of life. Rafaela Restelli has fully embraced the challenges of a new fashion era where the market and way of selling has changed with a deep respect and belief in tradition and love for masterpieces that last!

In today’s post, you had the opportunity to see Restelli gloves made of special peccary leather. These luxurious leather gloves are made of the highest quality leather. The lining of these gloves is made of cashmere. It got a little cold during my visit to Istanbul, so I decided to better protect my hands and walk around in my unusual cognac-colored gloves, which were extremely warm and the right fashion accessory for this unexpected cold in the imperial city on two continents.

Restelli gloves are not valued by money but by tradition and history full of love and patience that have no price.

Loro Piana is an Italian company specializing in clothing and textile products. This fashion house is considered the largest producer of cashmere and also the world’s largest artisanal company processing the luxury fiber.

The Loro Piana company has three divisions (textile divisions): a division that deals with the production of high-quality materials using precious fibers such as cashmere and baby cashmere, vicuna, linen and merino wool, a division that deals with the creation of luxury fashion items (production and distribution of men’s, women’s clothing, footwear and fashion accessories) and the interior design department – production and distribution of interior design products.

In today’s post you have the opportunity to see two special pieces (turtleneck sweater and trousers) from the latest men’s Loro Piana Fall-Winter 2022/23 collection, which are just a small part of my favorites this season due to their signature elegance and my love for neutrals and shades of brown. Crafted from 100% of the finest cashmere, this turtleneck is perfect for the man who pays attention to detail and leaves nothing to chance. This turtleneck in a soft beige shade, a color that is perfect for all occasions and can be combined with other colors extremely easily. Classic trousers are always the best travel ally and I’m not separated from my new Loro Piana classic trousers which are made of baby cashmere.

Roberto Cavalli: Rebel Spirit on the Shores of the Bosphorus…

My dear fashionistas, welcome to the first post on the Mr.M blog in 2023! Before I start today’s fashion story, I would like to wish you all the best in the new year. Health first of all, but happiness and love are never enough, and we will manage the rest!

Today’s fashion story is dedicated to an unusual Italian brand at the very top of the fashion industry that you have had the opportunity to work with in previous years on the Mr.M blog – Roberto Cavalli.

Roberto Cavalli is a famous Italian luxury fashion company founded by designer Roberto Cavalli in Osmannore, Florence, during the 1970s. This brand has become famous in the fashion world for its colorful animal prints on leather and textiles. Roberto Cavalli produces and sells haute couture – a first line consisting of limited runway models, ready-to-wear products that are divided into several fashion lines, as well as fashion accessories, including handbags, glasses, watches, shoes, perfumes and jewelry. The company also develops an interior design program for high-end buildings and hotels.

Mr. Roberto Cavalli studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. His grandfather was a prominent painter of the Macchiaioli group. His fashion career began in the 1960s. Working in his own silk printing press, he began to apply a new painting technique to fully made garments, which later resulted in garment dyeing techniques. During the 1970s, he continued to experiment with other materials, mainly leather.

Mr. Cavali’s debut collection was held in Paris in 1970, where he proudly displayed his leather patchwork designs, created in collaboration with Mario Valentino. In 1972, he presented his patchwork designs applied to jeans at the first Roberto Cavalli women’s collection show at the Palazzo Pitti in Florence, the main pret-a-porter event in Italy at the time. His work has attracted many global fashion houses, including Hermès, Pierre Cardin, Krizia and Emilio Pucci.

You must be wondering what the Patchwork technique is? Patchwork is a very interesting technique that has been known since ancient times. The oldest found patchwork works date back to the ancient Chinese civilization, and traces of such works were found in the famous Egyptian tombs.

Fans of this technique also call it “painting with rags”, and the word itself is of English origin and is composed of two words, patch-rag, and work-rad. Patchwork is a special technique of creative sewing, where different fabrics are combined with certain patterns and create decorative units. By combining materials of different geometric shapes, textures, colors, patterns and joining them together, you can make things for the home like bedspreads, cushions, rugs, refresh your furniture, make or refresh old fashion pieces and the like.

The basic way of working with patchwork is to cut and join different shapes and wholes. However, what should be emphasized is that with this technique, precision in work is very important. Each piece of patchwork fabric that is cut must be precisely measured and cut so that there are no mistakes and omissions in the further work.

The 1994 collection at Milan Fashion Week staged a new vision of the Cavalli woman: playful tiger and wild animal motifs applied to jeans, printed clothing, embroidered fur and long, sumptuous dresses that elegantly revealed the woman’s body. Animal print has become a recognizable element of the Italian fashion house Cavalli. Later, sandblasted denim came out and the fashion house was the first to show lycra stretch jeans.

New clothing lines were launched on the market: Just Cavalli, Angels & Devils (renamed Roberto Cavalli Junior) and Class Cavalli. The first Roberto Cavalli mono-brand boutique was opened in Venice in 1996. At the end of 2001, the brand was distributed in more than 30 countries, including the United States, Asia and Russia.

The Marcolin Group began to develop and distribute Roberto Cavalli and Just Cavalli sunglasses and optical frames in 2002 alongside the Sector company, the Cavalli fashion house designs 6 Cavalli watch lines, which themselves achieved incredible success and contributed to the development of this fashion house. In addition to the world of fashion, the fashion house opened the Just Cavalli club in Milan in the same year. A few years later, in 2007 to be precise, Roberto Cavalli became the first Italian luxury fashion brand to create a limited collection for the everyday street fashion brand H&M.

In celebration of its 40th anniversary in 2010, Roberto Cavalli fashion house presented an exclusive show collection in Paris, which included most of its iconic dresses for which the brand has become recognizable. In recent years, under the leadership of Roberto Cavalli, the new interior design division Roberto Cavalli Home debuted at the 2012 Salone del Mobile.

Aida Barni: Dear Green, I’m Still in Love With You…

Dear my fashionistas, welcome to the new winter fashion story on Mr.M blog! I sincerely hope that you are well and that you are healthy and safe from the current unfavorable health situation with the new strains of the Corona virus. Today’s fashion story will be dedicated to a lime green sweater that radiates exceptional positive energy due to its unusual color.

This unusual cashmere piece was made in Italy in the Annapurna company, which is located in the fairytale town of Prato. Aida Barni is synonymous with perfect softness and refined Italian cashmere processing. Last winter we enjoyed the beauties of pastel colors, while this year I decided to refresh the cold winter days with bright and unusual colors.

Soft, light and warm cashmere items are a smart “fashion” investment and practical during the winter. When you give someone a cashmere sweater, it is a gift from the heart, because a cashmere sweater carries a certain symbolism with it. Also, sometimes you need to surprise yourself with something new and refresh your life, maybe it’s a new hairstyle, and maybe it’s a new unusual sweater that will bring a smile to your face!

Aida Barni is a brand that belongs to the Annapurna group. Founded in 1978, the Annapurna Group has become one of the leading Italian and world manufacturers of high-quality cashmere knitwear with its two fashion lines Annapurna and Aida Barni.

Annapurna uses only the latest production techniques available on the market, from cashmere looms to the latest and most advanced knitwear machines of all sizes. The current production capacity is about 120,000 pieces per year. It is important to note that the entire production cycle is performed in Italy, more precisely in the factory of the company located in the city of Prato, which is also the center of the district of the same name located in the heart of Italy (central Italy).

“Made in Italy” is more than a production concept, but this brand has proven to be much more than the just perfect cashmere sweater on a store shelf. It is love at first touch, an impression to remember.

Annapurna is a name that associates everyone with exceptional mountain landscapes, especially the mountain range in the Himalayas where goats live with their winter fleece, hiding the soft, warm “cloak” that made them so famous.

Aida Barni is an imaginative and fascinating name for a fashion line that produces high quality knitwear from the finest cashmere. Aida Barni is a symbol of a lifetime goal for a woman who decided to enter the world of business in the late seventies and reach the very top of this challenging and one of the most difficult sectors of the market.

In today’s post, you have the opportunity to see an unusual neon lime green sweater made of 100% cashmere. A classic model that has a collar in the form of a zippered turtleneck sweater that is ideal for all occasions, whether it is going to work or casual winter city walk around the city, this sweater is the right choice for every modern man with style. This sweater can be worn with classic pants, as I did in today’s post, or with jeans to get a casual everyday look.

The Aida Barni brand was created as an artistic expression of the way of life and existence, the essence of unstressed chic, refined luxury. A collection for men and women dedicated to everyone who loves timeless and elegant knitwear that encompasses true elegance in the preciousness of materials, shapes and details.

The man who wears Aida Barni knitwear does not follow trends, but creates and adapts them to the needs of everyday life. The men’s collection is made up of cult clothing items of sentimental value, which evoke a healthy and environmentally friendly way of life. Fans of the Aida Barney brand love natural and fine yarns, enjoy comfort, but do not give up the elegance and sophistication of cuts and models.

Aida Barni‘s concept of men’s “sports elegance” is simple and with sophisticated style, but rich in materials and inconspicuous details that make this brand cult because it represents an expression of uniqueness and special class.

You can buy Aida Barni cashmere items in well-known multibrand shops and department stores across Europe and the world and through authorized online stores. When you give someone an Aida Barni piece, it is more than respect and pure love because you are giving a piece in which love for tradition and deep respect for art that is not worshiped every day are woven.

If you want to be updated and find out all the news that Aida Barni is preparing for us this fashion season, follow them on the social networks Facebook and Instagram.

We started today’s fashion story with a sweater story, but I would like to tell you something more about other fashion details that you have the opportunity to see in this outfit post. You had the opportunity to see the jacket this winter season from the new collection of the fashion house Roberto Cavalli, while the trousers are custom-made of the finest wool and cashmere of the Italian fashion house Brunello Cucinelli.

The shoes that complemented my clothing combination today are Christian Louboutin, which I received from the most famous German online shopping platform Mytheresa. This model is Rantus Orlato made of real python leather from a limited series made in metallic electric blue color.

The bomber jacket fit perfectly with these shoes, just as if it was created by the fashion house Christian Louboutin! If you want to find interesting fashion pieces and special footwear collection you can find it on the Mytheresa online shopping platform where all fashion lovers can find something for themselves!

See you soon and continue our fashion adventures on the Mr.M blog! How did you like my outfit today?

I really tried to prepare today’s post for you with a lot of love and I hope you will like it!

I advise you to follow to my advice due to the current health situation with the new strain of Omicron Coronavirus in almost all European and countries around the world. If you need to go out into the fresh air, take a walk and clear your mind and enjoy the winter magic, feel free to do so, but do not go to places where there are a lot of people and thus encourage crowds.

If you have been vaccinated (2 doses of any vaccine or an additional third booster dose) you need to wear a mask for your own safety. The winter season is underway and many have decided to spend the winter city breaks in European cities, I would ask you to respect the local laws related to the health care of the local community.

If you have a question, comment, suggestion or message for me, you can write me down in the comments. Of course, as always you can contact me via mail or social media channels, which you can find on the CONTACT page. See you soon, stay tuned!

Christian Louboutin: Winter Magic of the most desirable Red Soles…

Dear my fashionistas, welcome to the new fashion adventure on the Mr.M blog! Today’s post is special for me because together we will discover what really lies behind the magic of the iconic red soles of the famous French shoe designer Christian Louboutin.

Christian Louboutin is a French-Egyptian shoe designer who, from the very beginning of his career, created avant-garde high-end shoes that attracted the attention of women on the streets of Paris with their unique design.

Most of people believe that red soles have been his trademark since the very beginning of the work of this French fashion house in 1991/92. year, but the famous shiny, lacquered soles were introduced by Mr. Louboutin only in 2004 during the launch of the Pigalle model for the Autumn – Winter 2004/05 collection.

Mr. Louboutin once said: “I don’t make seasonal shoes, I create works of art that will adorn your feet and attract the jealous eyes of passers-by.”

Christian Louboutin has become an extremely loved and adored brand among both genders and thus has become one of the most desirable footwear brands of all time.

Each of us who had the opportunity to meet Louboutin shoes and leather goods has their own story, so for me, buying the first Louboutin sneakers was an experience to remember.

I received my first Louboutin sneakers as a gift from my mother for my 18th birthday, my father decided to celebrate my entering the world of adults with a family trip to the city of light – Paris.

My mother, who has always been a huge fashionista, loved Louboutin shoes and wanted to give me something special for my 18th birthday. I remember it was a beautiful, sunny day just to wish for one birthday.

We spent the morning in the museum, but after our birthday lunch we decided to take a walk through the streets of Paris. I noticed that my mother was especially excited, but I could not guess that we would spend that afternoon in the first open atelier store of Christian Louboutin in Paris.

My mother tried to help me choose the perfect pair of CL shoes with her suggestions, but she was more successful in choosing shoes for herself. Honestly, I thought I would come out empty-handed, but the saleswoman brought out some beautiful sneakers to a guy who was obviously not happy with the order.

The sales assistant was not interested in showing me the sneakers, but I was crazy lucky that she was accompanied by a saleswoman from Balkan who left her clients to listen to my description of shoes in the whole crowd, which did not calm down for a single moment.

I think we spent almost an hour waiting for the shoes, but in the end I got what I wanted, beautiful pony hair sneakers in shades of brown with discreet black patent leather details. These were definitely the sneakers of my dreams, an ideal gift, but as it happens in my life, there was one big BUT here – the sneakers were a size smaller than I needed.

Of course, those were the only one size shoes, according to the principle take it or leave it… Mom just said we take them and that’s it! Luckily we have a fantastic shoemaker in Belgrade who solves absolutely all problems and that those sneakers are still in my wardrobe, always tidy and polished, waiting for some new adventures.

A famous question that is always asked: Are Louboutin shoes comfortable? I can only tell you that I have more than 15 pairs of Louboutin shoes that I like to wear and carefully store and maintain. These are shoes that are definitely not bought every day.

The moment when the dream becomes reality is the summer of 2021, when I receive an invitation to collaborate from the famous German online shopping platform Mytheresa and when they asked me how much I love Christian Louboutin shoes? Is it really necessary to ask that question?!

The first Louboutin sneakers I got from Mytheresa Man I presented during the summer season on the Mr.M blog in this post. Who doesn’t have time to read my post, these are the famous Louis Orlato suede leather sneakers with spikes in a beautiful burgundy color.

Shoes which you can see in today’s post are the second pair I got from Mytheresa Man and I can’t describe to you my happiness when I saw the CL box! This model is Rantus Orlato made of real python skin from a limited series made in metallic blue. The sneakers waited for the spotlight this winter when I got new winter pieces that I admit I chose based on these shoes!

The jacket fit perfectly with these shoes, just as if it was created by the fashion house Louboutin! If you want to find interesting fashion pieces and a special collection of shoes you can find on the Mytheresa online shopping platform where all fashion lovers can find something for themselves!

We started today’s story with shoes, but I would also like to tell you something more about the pieces that make up my outfit. The down-jacket, sweater and trousers are from the collection of the fashion house Roberto Cavalli, only the sweater and trousers are from the Cavalli Class line, while the jacket is from the first line of the fashion house Roberto Cavalli.

Trousers are, in addition to shoes, I believe the stars of today’s fashion story because of these unusual metallic gold stars details.

In the last year, I have returned to the good old habit of wearing watches, which I must admit I am glad and proud of! Today, I decided to take to the city one of my faithful allies who helps me not to be late, and at the same time to have an unusual masterpiece on hand is a wristwatch made by the famous Swiss brand Epos. If by any chance you missed reading an interesting story and history of this company, you can do so by clicking on the link.

Fashion Diary: What to wear on the Streets of Berlin this Winter?

Dear my fashionistas, welcome to the new fashion adventure on the Mr.M blog. In today’s blog post, I will show you some fashion pieces that you can see this Autumn – Winter season on the streets of the capital of Germany – Berlin.

Berlin itself is an unusual fashion metropolis known for street style, urban fashion with some unusual details that can overshadow tourists visiting this city in Europe that literally “lives 24 hours”.

You had the opportunity to see this mink fur jacket in a more elegant edition with classic trousers – link of my previous post.

When you decide to buy luxurious, timeless, authentic fur, SKANDINAVIK FUR is a small family company that exclusively leads with its expertise, experience, sophisticated skill and love for the craft that has been passed down from generation to generation. The family-owned company makes a wide range of timeless and luxurious fur products, including clothing, scarves, covers and blankets.

Due to its unique holistic approach and with great respect for natural resources, the Skandinavik Fur company rationally consumes fur. With good imagination, vision and skill of the master, they turn all the remnants of fur into beautiful fashion items whenever possible.

Fur as a material in itself is not exclusively intended for women, but it can also be an unusual accessory for men that will refresh the wardrobe of every modern man.

You’ve probably ever wondered what are the reasons for famous men, famous rappers who love chinchilla fur and long fox fur coats. The answer is simple, such furs exude magnificent energy that reflects luxury and style. Mink is the right choice to achieve a more elegant look, and a fur-lined parka or shearling jackets are slightly more conservative options.

When investing in a timeless piece such as a fur jacket or coat, you want to be sure to buy directly from an experienced fur manufacturer who can provide you with the best post customer service after the purchase, transferring knowledge about how to maintain fur products, and at the same time offer high quality products.

The jacket from today’s post, a short jacket with a hood, is made of mink, which is specially painted in three colors. This model is at the same time elegant and urban and has a certain sporty elegance, so it can be worn by people who are oriented to a slightly different sports fashion sense that does not require exclusively elegant notes.

My fur jacket is made of SAGA mink. Sharp lines, comfort and practicality are some of the basic characteristics of this luxury piece. It can be worn with a white shirt, black pants, an interesting leather belt, or you can combine a nice brown-camel sweater with jeans, as I showed in today’s post. The hood is made of mink on both sides and on the top, because it is suitable for a luxury item like this jacket.

I did my best to complete this outfit with the famous Jacob Cohën jeans and an elegant Stenströms camel sweater, pieces that fit just perfectly into this outfit. Classic jeans and a cashmere sweater are always the best and absolutely best choice when it comes to autumn fashion for men.

The story of the Jacob Cohën brand begins with a man who believed in one dream! The fashion empire that opened its doors in 1985, guided by the intuition of Tato Bardelle, achieved thanks to the creative genius of his son Nicola Bardelle in the early 2000s, is divided and continued today by the creative direction of his wife Jennifer Tommasi-Bardelle.

The brand was originally conceived as a luxury denim collection handmade in Italy, where this material was first proposed as a status symbol in history, thus anticipating the concept of a casual everyday look that will soon become “mandatory” style.

Jacob Cohën is one of the brands that has always continuously invested in modernization of production and market research, in order to provide its customers with exclusive quality and exceptional comfort.

Today, Jacob Cohën has become a reference point for everyday luxury understood as a way of thinking, living and dressing. If you want to understand the essence of the brand, Jacob Cohën represents the cult of luxury denim, which means a simple way of life.

The jeans you have the opportunity to see in today’s post are from the latest Autumn – Winter 2021/22 collection. It is a model from the limited model series J688. As a person who has problems with wide hips and I rarely find good jeans that fit my silhouette , I had no problem choosing jeans because all Jacob Cohën jeans have a lot of elastin and perfect fit.

OUTFIT

Mink Fur Jacket: SKANDINAVIK Fur

Sweater: Stenströms

Jeans: Jacob Cohën

High-Top Sneakers: Roberto Cavalli

Since the today’s outfit was in a certain everyday relaxed casual tone with the jeans, I decided to wear my favorite Roberto Cavalli deep crocodile sneakers. I have to admit that they complemented this outfit in an unusual way. Of course, the dark chocolate brown color went great with the colors that you can find in my wardrobe. Roberto Cavalli is a famous Italian brand that is at the very top of the fashion industry and has conquered the fashion scene.

After many years of success, he managed to take a high position in the world of fashion and is known for the production of famous bright prints and leather accessories made of exotic leathers.

My dear fashionistas, we have come to the end of this special post where together we discovered the beauty of brown tones in autumn fashion outfits! See you soon and continue our fashion adventures on the Mr.M blog with the hope that I will take new and interesting photos when my bruises pass! How did you like my outfit today?

I really tried to prepare today’s post for you with a lot of love and I hope you will like it!

I advise you to listen to my advice due to the current health situation with the new variant of Corona virus – Lambda in almost all European and countries around the world. If you need to go out into the fresh air, take a walk and clear your mind and enjoy the charms of the autumn, feel free to do so, but do not go to places where there are a lot of people and thus encourage crowds.

If you have been vaccinated (both doses of the vaccine or even with third Booster dose) you need to wear a mask for your own safety. If you are abroad on vacation, I would ask you to respect local COVID-19 laws related to community health.

If you have any questions, comments, suggestions or a message for me, you can write to me below in the comments. Of course, as always, you can contact me via email or social media channels, which you can find on the CONTACT ME page. See you soon!

With love from Berlin,

Burberry: A Daily Dose of British Iconic Elegance that will make your day!

Dear my fashionistas, welcome to another October fashion adventure on the Mr.M blog! I hope that these unusual low temperatures, as well as this gloomy and rainy weather did not spoil your mood. Today we will get into the fashion time machine together and discover one of the unusual fashion pieces made by my favorite British fashion house Burberry.

Burberry is one of the most famous traditional British fashion houses that has patented its famous trenches and coats which are also a trademark of this fashion empire. I believe that everyone who has been following my blog for almost 6 years, knows my enthusiasm for this exceptional brand.

There is one interesting fact about big fashion houses that many people do not know or sometimes forget. All creations that marked the collection of a certain year and season are kept in the company’s archives. Because of my job, I had the opportunity to peek into the archival collections of certain fashion brands and I must admit that I am always delighted.

Today I present to you a real gem from the Burberry archive collection. Burberry trenches and coats represent the very top of world fashion fashion and have become iconic fashion classics of today. These coats were created by the founder of the Burberry company – Thomas Burberry more than 100 years ago, inspired by the British heritage, and at the same time introduced elements of urban fashion.

You can find all the classic Burberry coats in the basic 5 models: Legendary Kensington, Westminster, Chelsea, Waterloo and Pimlico. All models were named after city areas in London. What is the difference between these models?

The Kensington – a classic model with a modern cut that easily adapts to any silhouette. The most popular model, which is available in four basic colors: gray, navy blue, honey (camel) and black. Also, this model is made in two lengths.

The Westminster – a model that is oversized and lightly tailored for a draped silhouette. Basic colors: honey (camel) and dark military green (khaki). Also, this model is made in two lengths.

The Chelsea – a model characterized by a slim fit (narrow shape next to the body) with narrow shoulders and a cropped waist. The basic colors are honey and navy blue and it is also available in two lengths.

The Waterloo – A more comfortable cut, a longer model than the classic one with a subtle and relaxed cut, which is ideal for layered clothing. This model is made in three basic colors: chestnut, black and honey – camel and is available in only one length.

The Pimlico is a simple straight cut when adorned with a single-breasted button with a minimalist character and a modern cut. This model is usually made in navy blue, biscuit (biscuit color) and honey-camel color. This model is also available in only one classic length.

I would like to mention that all the listed colors are just classics that are always produced, but the Burberry company is introducing seasonal colors to enrich their offer.

Most Burberry coat models have been made in Castelford, Yorkshire for more than 50 years by hand from gabardine – a revolutionary fabric that Thomas Barberry proudly presented in 1879. Polished, light and practical, beautiful cotton resistant to various types of weather conditions, which has remained in the heart of the Burberry brand to this day.

The classic coat model originated and developed from the basic form of the Tielocken coat, which was patented in 1912 by Thomas Barberi. A simple yet sophisticated unique shape that has adapted over the years and become a recognizable Burberry coat.

Each Burberry trench is special and has its own story – one that is made to last and to write new pages of life chapters together with you. Coats and overcoats are an investment that pays off, it is also a gift for generations to come. Believe me, I know that from my own experience, because I inherited my first Burberry coat from my grandfather’s wardrobe before my blogging career, and today I gladly keep it and wear it on special occasions.

The leather coat that you have the opportunity to see in today’s post is special because it is made of the highest quality lambskin, which is especially thin with this model. This Kensington model is specific because it is filtered with the finest fluff and is double-lined with leather. Because of all this, the leather processing had to be different and the leather is significantly thinner than with classic Burberry leather coats.

I am glad that I got this exceptional opportunity to walk the streets of Berlin, this priceless piece that I did my best to enter because all the archive models are kept in runway sizes. Since you all know how often I complain about wider hips and my specific build, you will surely understand my “battle”.

My outfit today was complemented by two things that are very dear to me: the Ématelier watch and the Picard backpack.

You have had the opportunity to see this incredible Ématelier watch in previous posts, which, in addition to faithfully showing the time, is also a real master-piece of art that adorns the hand. My new friend Jaguar from the special collection “Kingdom” is a watch that was handmade in faraway Canada in the main workshop of Ématelier, a brand behind which stands a passionate watch lover, founder Alex Landa.

This Fall, novelties also arrived from my Picard friends who have supported my adventures around the world for years, and Picard leather friends have never let me down. The quality and design of Picard accessories is amazing and after so many years and carrying pounds of luggage I carry my Picard backpacks in blog posts as well.

Today I present to you model Buddy, my friend from the new Picard collection who is keeping me company in Berlin this season, while we are ready to look forward to the new adventures that await us. This backpack is made of the highest quality leather, a classic design in black.

I really tried to prepare today’s post with a lot of love and I hope you will like it! See you in a couple of days with some new interesting story!

Tod’s: True Italian Elegance and Refined Style as the Prestige of Modern Luxury

My dear fashionistas, I hope you are ready for a new fashion adventure! Summer is an ideal period for fashion experiments, especially when the real art is to dress nicely, without consequences in the form of sweat stains that destroy every good will of a person to dress nicely. Today I will try to show you true Italian elegance and refined style with the help of the fashion house Tod’s.

Tod’s S.p.A. is a company specializing in the production of footwear, clothing and accessories with its brands Tod’s, Hogan, Fay and Roger Vivier. This fashion story is the about the work and effort of the Della Valle family.

This fashion journey began in the early twentieth century when Filippo Della Valle, a shoemaker with exceptional ideas and visions, made shoes in his kitchen at home. After some time and effort and work, Mr. Della Valle opens his shoe atelier.

In the late 1960s, his son Dorino, with the help of his wife, founded the first craft factory in Sant’Elpidio a Mare. The whole concept developed with the sale of women’s shoes in Germany and in department stores across USA.

In the 1970s, Dorina’s son Diego joined the company. Despite his great love for the United States, Diego returns to Italy with the idea of creating an innovative product with a brand name. In the early eighties, he got his chance and became the director of a family company, opening an office in Milan in 1980, creating a brand for women’s shoes “Diego Della Valle”, managing to convince some fashion designers of that time to wear them for free at fashion shows.

Tod’s produced the first moccasins with rubber pads and soles that initially took shape, like small rubber pins, and were designed for car drivers, primarily to make driving more comfortable and provide additional comfort to drivers.

The apostrophe – ‘, which has been present since the beginning of Tod’s era, was chosen with intent because of the advantage of simple pronunciation in all the languages of the world. In the early 1980s, Diego and his brother Andrea launched Tod’s brand and the first moccasins with a distinctive rubber sole composed of 133 small rubber pins, a long process that requires about 100 processing steps, many of which are done by hand.

Legend has it that the intuition came to Diego Della Valle, who, after returning from the United States, noticed the pilot’s moccasins during a long flight and returned to Italy trying to make new comfortable moccasins.

Tod’s as a brand stood out for its quality leather and models that come from craft shoemakers. Mr. Diego Della Valle’s idea was to create a shoe suitable for both formal and informal occasions, with a casual, comfortable, simple but refined taste.

Today, the Tod’s brand represents the pinnacle of Italian fashion and, in addition to footwear, produces clothes, knitwear and fashion accessories that have found their place in the hearts of celebrities all over Hollywood.

My current clothing combination is adorned with a leather jacket from the new collection for AW 2021/22, which is a classic timeless model and can always be found in the offer of the Tod’s brand.

If you want to be up to date and find out all the novelties that Tod’s fashion house is preparing for us, follow them on the social networks Facebook and Instagram.

Since we started today’s story with leather details, I will continue in that order and introduce you to my new friend with whom I hang out on the streets of Berlin and who helps me bring all the necessary things, such as a camera, laptop, chargers because I never know when let the battery let me down.

When you carry a lot of things with you every day, the most important thing is the quality and practicality of leather goods. In one of the previous posts, we had the opportunity to hang out with the StefanomanO brand, where I showed you one of their backpack models in a beautiful navy blue color.

StefanomanO is a family Italian brand of leather goods, mostly men’s and women’s bags and small leather leather goods. The brand was founded in 2005, with the special goal of carefully choosing a product handmade in Italy and expressing a contemporary style in a classic and informal light designed for the customer who cares about details, but also who does not give up comfort and quality. with an always refined and unique style.

The backpack you have the opportunity to see in today’s post is a special model with an adjustable flap, made of the finest woven calfskin in a dark brown color. This spacious backpack guarantees comfort and functionality with its internal and external pockets. During the photo shooting, this backpack was full of things and I have to admit that I am very satisfied with how elegant it looks and not to notice that I certainly have at least 6-7 kilograms of things inside and that it has not changed its shape.

This brand continuously conducts market research and modernization of production with the aim of creating bags with a high degree of functionality, light weight with an extremely practical purpose and spacious. The use of the finest leather and traditional craft tradition are special features of StefanomanO products and rank them among the most appreciated and unique brands on the market.

Today’s elegant outfit was completed by a watch from the Akylon collection of the art Swiss brand MUSE, which you had the opportunity to meet in one of the previous posts.

The case is made of 100% titanium in the color of rose gold, while the dial is made of aventurine, a type of quartz that is characterized by its transparency and the presence of mineral impurities in the form of platinum that give it a shimmering or shining effect called aventurescence.

My watch is adorned with an Elaphe bracelet in a bronze brown-gold color. The bracelet is made of Elaphe water snake skin, which does not belong to the protected species. For all additional information and news about MUSE watches, you can follow them on their official Facebook page and Instagram profile.

MUSE watches are for all art lovers with refined taste and a sense of aesthetics. The basic idea of the founders of the MUSE brand was to re-examine and present the representation of time through an artistic prism. Mr. Robert and Mr. Leuba replaced the traditional hands, so the hours, minutes and seconds are shown in special art forms inspired by elements of nature and architecture.

MUSE dials are a moving art, time passes and different formations and shapes are made. Watches have become real small pieces of art today, only technology and inspiration have made it possible to enjoy the beauty of shapes that change on the MUSE dial every minute.

OUTFIT

Leather Jacket: Tod’s

Polo T-Shirt: Stenströms

Watch: MUSE Art Watches

Jeans: Brunello Cucinelli

Backpack: StefanomanO

Sneakers: Roberto Cavalli

The Stenströms Polo T-shirt made of the highest quality merino wool has a classic polo collar and a V-neck. This unusual, neutral brown color, someone will say the color taupe is ideal for all occasions and is easily compatible with other colors of similar shades.

I decided to show you how you can wear this T-shirt on occasions that do not require a strictly formal way of dressing, but if you want to achieve a more elegant look, you can wear this T-shirt on classic trousers.

My dear fashionistas, we have come to the end of this first special post where together we opened a new fashion chapter and started the story of the Italian brand Tod’s on the Mr.M blog! How did you like my outfit today?

I really tried to prepare today’s post with a lot of love and I hope you will like it! See you in a couple of days with some new interesting story!

I advise you to listen to my advice due to the current health situation with the new variant of Corona virus – Lambda in almost all European and countries around the world. If you need to go out into the fresh air, take a short walk and clear your mind, feel free to do so, but do not go to places where there are a lot of people and thus encourage the creation of crowds. If you have been vaccinated (both doses of the vaccine) you still need to wear a mask for your own safety.

The summer vacation season has begun and many have escaped from heat in the city and enjoy the summer at sea, I would ask you to respect local laws related to COVID-19 community health regulations. The process of vaccinating the population in Germany has begun and I believe that the situation will soon improve and that our lives will return to normal soon!

If you have a question, comment, suggestion or message for me, you can write me down in the comments. Of course, as always you can contact me via mail or social media channels, which you can find on the CONTACT ME page. Stay tuned!
