Today’s post will be dedicated to a new brand that I am sure is familiar to all of you and that you have had the opportunity to notice exceptional pieces of this famous brand with American roots and tradition in Europe and abroad. Today we will meet the Woolrich brand on the Mr.M blog.
Woolrich is a brand that was founded back in 1830 in the United States of America (USA) in the state of Pennsylvania. The basic idea of the brand was to equip people who cultivate an immense passion for nature, who do not see natural elements as a kind of obstacle, but as a life mover. One of the founders of the brand – John Rich once said: “Nature tests and inspires us equally, we are here to encourage our own desire for entertainment and learning about the world around us and of course about ourselves.”
Woolrich is a brand with a long history that has been producing sportswear and outerwear for more than 190 years. This brand is the oldest American outerwear brand. During his first decade of existence, Woolrich mainly created clothes for farmers and wood processors who had to work in extreme climatic conditions.
In addition to them, Woolrich also supplied soldiers during the Civil War with uniforms and blankets that were made from the warmest wool in true American style. True to its heritage, the Woolrich brand is still one of the largest manufacturers when it comes to sportswear and outerwear.
Today, while writing this post, I was thinking about which three words could describe this amazing brand, and I think I came up with the right ones, which are: comfort, durability, resilience combined with simplicity and innovation.
