Hi everyone, how are you today? Are you ready for a new story from Morocco? Today, I will present you the second city I visited in this beautiful country. Welcome to Essaouira! Essaouira is one interesting and lovely fishing town. Due to climatic conditions, he received a nice nickname “City of the Winds”. There is a very interesting festival that is organized every year in autumn and is dedicated to all kites lovers. This time I did not have the opportunity to feel that adrenaline, but I enjoyed the beautiful pictures shown by our guides from the Tourist Office of Essaouira. <\/span><\/p>\n

I learned a few more interesting things about this unusual city. Did you know that this city was previously called by the Portuguese name Mogador, which in the Berber language means the Wall, because the Portuguese Mogador was strongly fortified. Just because of these walls, Essaouira has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List in Africa since 2001 year. <\/span><\/p>\n

At the beginning of this post, I would like to thank my friends from the Moroccan National Tourist Office<\/strong><\/em><\/a> on this wonderful trip and the adventure I will remember!<\/span><\/p>\n

Our trip from Marrakech to this seaside city was very interesting for me… I’ll just say “The Goat’s Trees” in the next post you will have the opportunity to see how it really looks. It’s really fascinating when you see the Atlantic Ocean suddenly after the sand and the desert. Landscape which you just want to keep for yourself and to memorise for the whole lifetime! <\/span><\/p>\n

Saul and I were a little tired because of the trip, but it took us twenty minutes to “reset” everything and get ready for a new adventure. When I saw that morning sun, I just had to change my outfit, I knew that I would surely make new photos for a fashion outfit post.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\n

The facades of the buildings are in blue classic coastal shades and I have met a lot of four-legged friends and a huge fish lovers – the cats. Cats enjoy great privilege in this place. The inhabitants of this city simply adore animals, and even every street seller has his own cat that makes him a company, even at high temperatures. These are the real friendships!<\/span><\/p>\n

I successfully managed to match my outfit with the coastal spirit of this Moroccan city. As you can see, I even walked around a market that was closed because we had come too early and started with our activities. Smile is the best way to start a new day! ?<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

Essaouira is an unusual city, the streets are similar, and I had the feeling that I was spinning in the circle until I again used my ability to navigate in space, and with the small help of cats that made company to their owners, street vendors on the street. So, again I managed to enjoy the streets of this unusual city.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\n

The man, which you have opportunity to see beside me was our guide for that day in Essaouira, he was born here, and he even showed us the street in which he was born and told a short story in his childhood and how it looks like growing up in Essaouira. A very interesting story, a little unusual for us from Europe, but very instructive and educational with emotions. Since that day, it was a decisive game for Argentina to represent on the World Cup, so they thought our guide was cheering for Argentina. Moroccans are otherwise very communicative and cheerful people. They always will spend a few minutes talking to you on the street (if you know French or if you find a person who knows English).<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\n

This is the street where our guide grew up, he showed me where the special rooms were where their mothers and grandmothers prepared the bread after they had no kitchen in their small apartments. They had special space where they made and baked bread, and special laundry rooms. Everybody had their own day reserved, and each family from the neighbourhood always respected that. Together in one neighborhood lived Jewish and Muslim families and their religion did not bother them to have good relations and good friendships.<\/span><\/p>\n

After we finished with our city tour, we were able to visit the surrounding vineyards. It was very interesting and little Marko finally learned a little about wine. If the smile is going on the wrong side, please forgive me a glass of wine has fallen, and I’m not used to drink! ? I used the opportunity and take some photos of my details from this outfit in this beautiful vineyard.<\/span><\/p>\n

I have to admit that I enjoyed and I would like to thank VAL D’ARGAN<\/strong><\/em><\/a> Winery for hospitality and I have learned a lot of new and useful things about wine production, which I will share with you in the next post. Believe me you will be surprised!<\/span><\/p>\n
