Turkey in my Eyes: Dogu Ekspresi, Adventure of a Lifetime

Good morning, my dear travellers! How are you doing this morning?! I sincerely hope that you have slept well and that you are ready to start this weekend with me and I will take you to new exciting adventure in Eastern Turkey. Before I start, I would like to thank you for the wonderful messages you wrote to me in the past few days and I can not describe my happiness right now! In the previous post, I’ve described my short, but lovely adventure in London, but now it’s time to start a story from beginning!

At the end of March this year I received an interesting email from the Turkish Airlines representative office in Serbia where I received a invitation to feel the charm of Eastern Turkey. When I saw that I would be able to visit Cappadocia, which is otherwise the dream of every blogger to have some photos with legendary balloons, I did not wait for a second, but I replied briefly and clearly: YES!

Because of the excitement I did not know what to do next, in my mind I was already in Cappadocia imagined those beautiful, large, colorful balloons and my new adventure has already started. After a couple of hours, I decided to read the itinerary program for this trip, and then I realized that will be one hard, but very interesting adventure. My blogger’s eye was attracted by the word Dogu Ekspresi, I immediately realized that it was some train, so I dropped into a little research where I read that I was going on a journey by train that was otherwise so popular that people are waiting for months to get their tickets for a train that received a grand epithet of Turkish Orient Express.

Otherwise, before I started blogging and during my work on the blog, I often traveled with this airline and every time I was overwhelmed with the service and what the most important flights were always on time and for my hungry soul catering service was always excellent. I remember when I went to Helsinki last year, the stewardess was so nice that she saw that I’m dying hungry, so I got two portions of beef and I was the happiest person on this planet called Earth.

By the time for a flight (thank God and never check out all those details on tickets) I did not even know which class I fly. As always, I arrived 3 hours earlier on the flight. It was so crowded, so I waited my turn. The lady at the check-in counter says: “Sir, you are at the wrong counter now my colleague will help you!” I’m in shock, as I thought I’m on the wrong place, but I have Turkish Airlines tickets…

After her colleague ended up with a passenger, she asked me to go to her counter in order to check in on the flight. I take my suitcase and I get a little out of the way just to read the little boards to know where I am going to, when I read “business class” I was already in heaven. I got my ticket, there really says business class 4F seat, PERFECT! As an international blogger, I traveled several times with the first and the business class, but I never got something like a domestic blogger and I was proud of myself that someone on our Balkan market supported the work on my blog in such a sophisticated way.

The flight to Istanbul this time lasted in my head much shorter, as you see I had enough time to make nice photos and by the way I had fun with the new romance movie of my favorite Turkish actors, who watched the Turkish TV-show “Rented Love” (Turkish: Kiralik Ask) will understand what I’m talking about!

I landed in my beloved Istanbul, I think that Ataturk airport was wondering why I have not been there for so long, but here I’m in my beloved Istanbul – a city on two continents. After I finished all activities such as passport control and luggage, the hardest part came, which I loved less when I travel: searching for my name on one million boards, but well this time I found my hosts in a record-breaking short time! By the way, I met my colleagues bloggers and members of the media from the Balkans and Eastern Europe. Of course, little Marko is immediately started to talk and after five minutes I find the ideal chit-chat company.

The first day in Istanbul literally AMAZING, we were on lunch at Nusret. If there are people who are like me and did not know who Nusret is… He is a famous Turkish cook who has become a living legend and has restaurants all over the world. It is recognizable for its movements during cooking, I am sure that you have seen somewhere in the media a guy with sunglasses and in a very unusual way, spice, sew meat and make a show. Let’s not explain further and I’m not blaming myself anymore, here you can check out on this link. 😉

Food brings people together, so I managed to get to know my colleagues and a team from Turkish Airlines who made this dream come true. According to the plan, we had to go back to the hotel after lunch, but we changed a little so we included Taksim square in our program! Little Marko warmed up an initiative to go to Galata Tower and some bloggers were first in Istanbul and also they wanted to see some sights. What about me? I just supported them! 😀

People from the Turkish Airlines team have mentioned to us several times that we will our program starts tomorrow at at 4 am and they tried to explain this to us many times but, the next scene… Four bloggers and one member of the team of the THY team are going to Taksim, there’s really no time for sleeping anyway…

Thank God, so we came back to the hotel a little after midnight, I did not sleep, I watched the Turkish series that I usually follow up, so it came as a great way to fill the time while waiting to leave the hotel. It was 4 am in the morning, all the bloggers had gathered and so sleepy were ready for Cappadocia. This was my second time in life that I used local flights in Turkey and I was just thinking about balloons which are waiting for me in Cappadocia.

Cappadocia is a very unusual place, full of valleys and everything looks like a fairy tale. Whole Cappadocia is shaped by nature, and it only shows how nature can itself create the outstanding works of art without any impact of the human hand. Really amazing! My admiration was interrupted by the words of our guide who told us that due to the strong wind there will be no balloons in the valleys of Cappadocia…

You know those scenes in the Mexican series when the major actor finds out some shocking news, so they put the sound effect of broken glass… That’s how it was in my head at that moment! There was no balloons, that I was not ashamed of my 27 years I would start to cry like a little child… The plan was changed for us, so we went for breakfast, then on ATV Tour, and our day was more than fulfilled. Maybe I did not see the famous balloons in Cappadocia, but I met a new furry friend – Mert.

In Cappadocia we visited two important and very interesting museums: Goreme, open air museum and Gurey, the first underground museum of ceramics and pottery!

Gurey, an unusual newly opened museum of ceramics and pottery, is located in the cave below the Gurey ceramics showroom. This museum has exhibited a private collection of ceramic art that has been collecting for years, and the ancient ceramic hall contains pieces from the prehistoric age.

The open-air museum of Goreme resembles a huge monastery complex consisting of many smaller monasteries located next to each other. Usually tourists when they arrive in Cappadocia, this is the first “station” in Cappadocia. I had the opportunity to enjoy the incredible landscape, and my colleagues made great pictures on the stones. I did not have the courage to climb, but I helped them to make some amazing memories from this wonderful place. 🙂

The second day of this trip was approaching the end, we left Cappadocia and headed for Kayseri because it was our station for boarding the Dogu Ekspresi train. I thought to myself: “Marko, this will be another looong night!” But I managed somehow to sleep a little, it was quite interesting!

The program of our trip was detailed and the timetable was precisely stated, when I first read the program in Belgrade, I realized that we would be traveling by train for 18 hours in one direction and I was afraid that I would succeed, but only I remembered India and said to myself that I can do it. The reality was a bit different, we spent almost twenty hours in the train, we made incredible pictures, some new friendships were made on this train.

What should you need to know about this train? Dogu Ekspresi, known as the “Eastern Express”, is a nightly passenger train operated by the Turkish state railway. The length of the route is 1310 km long, from the railway station in Ankara to the railway station in Kars. The interesting fact is that this is the first night train running east of Ankara. If you want to feel the real adventure, you can buy tickets for this train on this link. I just want to warn you that you must to book the tickets for this train couple months in advance if you want to feel the beauty of this amazing landscape, because this train is very popular attraction in Turkey.

After a long train ride, we reached our goal: Kars! It was time for dinner, so our hosts take this hungry group to restaurant. I have to admit the one thing I love most in Turkish culture: food! In Turkey you will never be hungry and their portions are so big (at least for me) that they really need to be proud of and will use this opportunity to give them the title of the best hosts ever.

My dear travellers once again we have come to the end of our travel adventure. Time just flies so fast when you are having a good time! This post is just a start of our Turkish adventure with Turkish Airlines and next week we will continue our journey and you will find out something about Kars and Ani Ruins.

At the end of the post, I would like to thank my friends from Turkish Airlines for this incredible adventure and the friendly staff from Crown Plaza Harbiye and Radisson Blu Kayseri hotels that made our stay pleasant and we felt like we were at home.

How do you like this post about Eastern Tukey? Have you ever visited Turkey? Did you have chance to enjoy in the magic of the Turkish culture and of course their sweet Turkish delights like halva or my favourite baklava? I would like to share with me your experience! If you have a question, comment, suggestion or message for me, you can write me down in the comments. Of course, as always you can contact me via mail or social media, which you can find on the CONTACT page.

Best,

Another Letter from London: Somewhere Between Rain and Wind…

My dear travellers, how are you today? I really hope that you’re doing great, because today I have a special post about London! I have not written posts on the blog for almost a month and I have to admit that this was hard time for me. Before I start with today’s post, I would like to take the opportunity to apologize for the unexpected break due to health problems and press trips where I was further “exhausted” so I failed to recover. For a month, I almost have a cold that I have not managed to heal completely because I was so active, instead of sleeping at my home and drinking some warm drinks like tea… Well, in the end, you never know why it’s good!

Many of you wrote to me on social networks and on the email when I will publish new posts and why I’m not active on the blog? All of you who follow my work know how much I love my blog, but sometimes some unexpected situations happen and I can not achieve everything at once. I promise that we will be hanging out more often this month, and believe me this pause on the blog may be good because you don’t know how amazing new interesting  posts I’ve prepared just for you guys!

Why did I get sick (again)?! Because in the past few weeks, I changed few countries, few totally different climate and time zones so I lost many hours of healthy “beauty” sleep and believe me it’s not good at all! Turkey, Russia, and England totally three different climates, time zones that it’s completely normal that if you’re getting sick on this trip, you just need to start praying to God that you can not return to even more sickness… What happened to me, of course, while I’m writing this post the best friends of mine today are the drops of nose, wipes and a tea. Great!

London was the last stop on this special European “cruise”, you are wondering why I did not start in chronological order like any normal blogger usually do… I think this time has won this little love for the English capital which I had the opportunity to visit in January of this year and I already knew that I’m going to visit again this year, but I did not know exactly when…

This time I had a little more time, full three days, so it’s much better than 48 hours! Believe me when you’re sick, 72 hours looks like an eternity to you. The worst thing that can happen to you when traveling is to GET SICK! The biggest damage is that you came to enjoy and discover something new, but your organism obviously has some other plans for you… Finally, my crazy personality won, so I cried in the room at night with the high temperature, and during the day I was playing a role of the real “Londoner”.

Now I have one “serious” question for you guys, listen up! When you are traveling, do you like to “put in” your schedule and Sunday as well or do you like to avoid this day? Usually people when they plan to travel, they tend to be from Wednesday to Sunday or Thursday to Sunday. Simply, just to have little time to get ready for a new working week. In my case, when I have possibility to arrange my trip, I like to spend that famous day in a certain destination.

Of course, for some it is not interesting at all, but a big metropolis like London, central core on Sunday is almost empty, I know it well because the true British people love to spend their free time at fairs, which are related to the lifestyle itself (food, sweets, teas and other deacons).

I spent this beautiful Sunday on the streets in the heart of London because I like to see nice things, no matter that in 90% of cases I have no financial opportunities to follow these trends, but I always like to see beautiful things and get some inspiration.  Sunday is my favorite day for me in London, because I have all the streets for myself, there is no crowd and I can pretty much look around the shop windows… Lucky me! 🙂

London is a city that is famous for its climate because of the rain and probably you will have more chances to see the Queen in the supermarket buying a bread, rather than a beautiful and sunny day. London as a city is very beautiful and does not bother me personally when it’s cold, rainy and even foggy because in London you can always do something interesting. The only thing I do not like is their obsession for renovating of the building, so every time I visit London always, but literally I always find some London symbol covered as it is being renovated, as you can see in the picture above… Thank God and the Germans do not like so much to renovate , otherwise I would be crazy already…

In the picture above, you can see the most visited place and best spot for the photos if you want to show people that you finally visited London! Who was not in London before, has the feeling that the Picardy Circus Square is so big and reminds a little of New York, but after that same person come to London and realize that this is a big misconception and that Piccadilly Circus such a small square, but that does not mean that it is not beautiful… You should not be blind and to believe to the pictures at IG, because you can disappoint yourself later.

Let me now return to the beginning of this adventure of my travels which started with a trip to Turkey where I had the opportunity to work with the world airline company Turkish Airlines where I met the culture of Eastern Turkey, once again I had an amazing ride with the train after the adventure in India, with a famous train in Turkey that received the label “Turkish Orient Express” – Dogu Express, I meet new colleagues, made some new friends from the Balkan and Eastern Europe region. After this adventure I went to Russia, and as you see, Turkish Airlines has followed me everywhere. I can not wait to share with you all my impressions from Turkey!

Well, I know well that I turned off the topic again, but what to do when I am too much creative and childish and always I want to share with you as much as I can, so I love to write! I like this part of London because I know that I’m getting closer to my most favorite building in London, located in Regent Street at No. 121… That’s the biggest Burberry shop, I like to say the biggest Burberry department store in the world!

The most famous British fashion brand Burberry has captured the hearts of their loyal fans around the world with their eternal elegance and classic trenches and coats, but also Burberry print also became synonym of England and the United Kingdom in general. A fashion story lasting more than 150 years continues to intrigue the world. That’s why, a few years ago, they opened a unique Regent 121 store where literally they have everything, but EVERYTHING! You need some runway model of trench? limited collection of scarves? This is the place for you! Each time I visit this store, my heart just wants to jump out because it would like to take everything home, but of course we come to the real border of reality and the dreams where you realize that if you succeed to buy just one thing, you will bring with you Part of England.

As far as I’m concerned, they could lock me up here to sleep, I would not be upset at all, I do not think I would sleep at all and I would suffer from chronic insomnia because of such nice things here… I think Burberry should consider my proposal to be the part of ” live “inventory of their fashion family and that would be my happy end for me!

During this visit to London, I thought at least a million times: “God, why my photographer doesn’t apply for a visa of UK!”. All this because of these almost half-empty streets that would be ideal for making some photos, but I didn’t have anyone to take some photos of me. On the other hand, how I was ill maybe at least I hid a little my “perfect” look at the moment because of huge fatigue and exhaustion.

The photo which you see above came from the need to try to take the photo of a gentleman who you can see on the other side of the street with red jacket because I liked the jacket very much and I was convinced that it was the same red jacket that I saw on the previous day at a sale in a department store, but it was not my size… Of course, when it was on 70% discount and when I wasn’t the lucky one to get it, but at least this picture turned out fantastic! As I wrote at the beginning of this post: “I believe that everything in life happens for a reason!”.

This building called Liberty House will always remain in my memory when I once was with a friend in London and when we found ourselves near this unusual department store I said that it would be good to check if they have the jacket from the brand that was on some big discount in another shop, she was so horrified and she just had strength to answer: “Marko, how can you look for a jacket in the museum, do you see that is a house in a famous tudor style ?! You’re crazy! “. A few minutes later she was convinced that it was an unusual department store so she did not want to talk to me for a couple of hours because she felt some sort of a shame. 😀

My dear travellers once again we have come to the end of our travel adventure. Time just flies so fast when you are having a good time! This post will be my first for this month and there are lot posts to come soon. See you next week, with some new interesting stories!

At the end of the post, I would like to thank my friends from the London City Tourism Board, my friends from Sony who have challenged me again to use new little monster Xperia XZ3, new member of Sony Xperia family. All the pictures that you saw today in this post were created with the help of my new little friend Sony Xperia XZ3 and I began to think that I no longer need to carry the camera on the trip with me. This was a unique opportunity to introduce you a little better with a lifestyle of the city like London and I hope I’m going to visit soon one of my favorite cities in Europe.

How do you like this post about London? Have you ever visited England or UK? Did you have chance to enjoy in the magic of the London? I would like to share with me your experience! If you have a question, comment, suggestion or message for me, you can write me down in the comments. Of course, as always you can contact me via mail or social media, which you can find on the CONTACT page.

This post is sponsored by the London Tourism Board, with the unselfish support of other partners of the tourist organization. I also thank Sony for this challenge and I’ve made some amazing pictures with their new Xperia XZ3. I also thank Burberry Limited, in following posts you will have the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of their interesting creations.

Feel the Holidays with a new Festive look!

Hi everyone, how are you today? I really hope that you’re doing great, but it’s time to work a little so I decided to share with you some news and write a new post. I am from those kind of people who like to plan and do many things in advance and before the New Year just make one wish – just everything that has been agreed, will be realized! As much as people try to spread negative energy, we should not be allowed to assure us that effort and work are not worth the effort. Of course, each one of us has some own wishes, plans, and it is irrelevant whether they are small or big, everyone has the right to do something that is desirable for their dreams.

Today, I just remembered one conversation that I had with my friend almost 4 years ago when she was convinced me that there was nothing special out of the blog, that it was a pure waste of time and nerves, so she began to list the names of people who were then popular in this blogging world. I just asked the question: “What if I turn out the game? Can I find a place for myself? “She had no answer to that question.

That’s how my story about Mr.M began as a kind of new way, as proof that everything is possible if you truly and really love what you do. Writing a blog is not easy, it’s a very difficult mental work, where a certain amount of creativity is required. When I begin to write a post, every time I have a feeling of a certain kind of fear, which has not passed with time, but it’s not something that you can’t beat with the time.

Many of you asked me few times where I learned to write this way, whether I was in some kind of writing course or did I attend a “blogger” school? The answer is NO! I did not go to courses or any school because I really do not believe in that type of bloggers “education”. Schools make molds, simply make people think similarly. I do not write serious things like celebrated writers, nor pretend to do it or to become a person that will be significant in literary circles, but I want to show my attitude and opinion in a true and unique way.

Also I received a lot of questions like: “You write well, unlike a particular person or group of bloggers, it’s a shame that you do not have a larger number of readers on your blog, how are you dealing with it, is it worth to do it?” I once answered one such email with one long letter, I guess I was angry, and on the other hand, disappointed that it is possible that someone has the right to compare someone in such a way.

I greatly appreciate and respect all my colleagues, whether are they the bloggers or people who are influencers (people who are influential on social networks and platforms) and there is no need to compete or compare. Everyone has the right to run own blog and take care of his public “image” in social media world. From the very beginning, I tried to keep my blog in such a way that an average person could understand me, someone similar to me. It does not have to be everything turn around of salary and money of course, we need to survive and earn something, but the charm of our work lies in feeling the reaction of people who like and read our work.

I always try to use the terminology that everyone knows or at least most people and I’m glad that people who read these posts on my blog have recognized and found something good in the whole Mr.M story. I started the blog with the idea to share some of my stories with the hope of having fun and making someone a good day after work. After a while, I received a lot of messages with compliments that my stories were emotional and educational. If that’s the case, then that’s great, at least something smart and useful from me! ?

Now the only question that worries me most: When will this snow go away? The more it turns out, people can not function normally, just a few hours later, Belgrade becomes white Siberia and traffic is in a collapse, and poor people do not know what to do. I’d like to tell you something interesting about this outfit.

You had the opportunity to see this lovely jacket – parka last year on the blog, some people were worried about throwing stuff, so you can see that bloggers do not live with an exclusive way of life, so that after shooting we throw things and we dress every day new thins… That’s one little sweet lie, we repeat certain fashion pieces a lot of times, and yes we dress all those promotional clothes in daily life, it’s not just for the Instagram. 😀

I got a sweater from my friends from the Finnish fashion house Turo, you also saw it before this winter on the blog, the link of the post. The red color always fix my mood, and this sweater is so warm and soft that I really doubt that I will be able to leave it in the closet this season, since this snow can surprise us in May as well… Weather is constantly changing!

Jeans are a special story, honest to be, I can not even tell myself how many jeans I buy each year and also how much of them I get from brands and the worst part most of them are almost the same, classic cut. That is why some people think that I have the same same jeans every time. Not my dear ones, I have almost 20 pairs of similar jeans, which I honestly do not even see the difference, so I perfectly understand you…

The backpack is a special story itself and I am very proud of this collaboration with the famous German brand Picard. I do not know how familiar you are with this brand, you might have heard of it, but it is extremely popular in Germany and it’s affordable, but the quality is exceptional.

The Germans are a very wise and economical people, and when they buy something like clothes or fashion accessories, it is generally important for them to invest their money in some thing which is quality, even when the price is affordable for them, there is anybody happier than themselves. Picard is a German brand that has managed to match the wishes and needs of its customers. Simple design, eternal classic and product quality are the basic characteristics of this famous German brand. Their fashion story began back in 1928, and since then, they have made daily lives much easier for all their customers.

Because all of that, I’m glad that I got the chance to work with a brand such as Picard and that I will have the opportunity to show you some of their iconic models of bags that you can wear on all occasions and of course to be noticed. Also, Picard has a great collections of women’s bags and they always have some interesting offers and sales, so take the opportunity to visit their online shop from time to time.

I am a big fan of pastel colors, brown color is my favorite color and I have inherited the love for this color from my mother who usually adores and almost all of her fashion pieces are in this color, I will just tell you how much this love to brown color is huge when it is her favourite coffee cup is in the brown colour as well… ?

Have you made some of your New Year’s decisions? If you are not still sure, do not worry it’s not late, people say that January is anyway the month for resting the year begins since February, so you have a few more days to think about your goals for this year and slowly start with work.

My dear fashionistas, once again we have come to the end of this fashion – lifestyle tips post. Time just flies so fast when you are having a good time! Don’t worry in a couple of days I will publish a new post where we will continue together to enjoy the charms of traveling and we will star some new adventure!

At the end of the post, I would like to thank my friends from the Picard which helped me to explore urban world of men’s street fashion & style.

Is Beauty the most Important Thing in Life?

Hello, my dear ones, welcome to my first post in 2019. This is my first post this year and I have to admit that I am a little nervous and excited because I have everything on my mind right now and I hope to be able to “speak out” my thoughts and write all of them correctly. First I would take the opportunity to express my sincere apologies to you that I am writing a post today, but I did not arrive because of certain duties earlier and I was not inspired because of the cold (yes, I was sick again!).

I want to congratulate you New Year and Christmas, I wish you all the best from the bottom of my heart. Christmas reminds us every year about the most important values of life: love and respect. I hope that we will all find the peace for which we are constantly searching! I hope you have spent these holidays with your family and friends, some may even have been fortunate to travel somewhere. The most important thing is that we all finally end up with a smile on the face and a filled heart with joy to enjoy in these holidays and we are ready to move on.

I did not plan at all to write a blog post today, but because of an unusual question that I received tonight on Facebook, I decided to write a post with this “interesting” topic. That question was not exactly the reason that led me to write this post, better to say that it was more a “trigger”. During these holidays, I spent a lot of time with my dear people, because of the illness of the photographer, my team was not able to realize the collaboration with one Tourism Board for the New Year’s holidays, because of all of this I decided not to go alone, and the rest of my team agreed with my decision that it is the best that we all spend holidays together in Serbia.

My friends always give me inspiration for my posts on the blog, all the texts so far were in some way directly or indirectly about some of our everyday topics, so we have touched on the theme of physical appearance for these holidays, or has everything become so superficial today? We all know how important it is to leave a good first impression, maybe we will not impress anyone at a first sight, but there is always some chance that someone will remember us for some of our unique personality…

This holiday season my best friend was my hero, why? Her boyfriend left her after 3 years of relationships with words: “Sorry, you’re just not my type!” What connected or better to say “tied” them in those three years? Obviously, it’s just an instinct to spend with a person for three years and to be left in such a way while she was stepping into the new year with thinking that after New Year’s Eve she would choose a wedding dress, she got her “dump” card on December 27th… It’s all life, but have we really become so superficial?

Did love decide to escape from the city or all those wonderful romantic movies on Hallmark channel is just a perfect lie? Of course, American love comedies and soap operas are just there to help us feel a better for hour or two afterward we return to our lives. At least, each of us is aware that perfection exists, but if you decide to spend some time, you should make a little effort to find something interesting in a person who thinks about you on the other side … You all know very well the fact about  that modern saying: “Karma is b..”, everything is at the end coming back.

That was a short story about some of disasters in love relationships, but let’s tell you something about a bit different relationships – Business. If you want to succeed in the business world, whatever you want to do in your life, you need to possess 3 the most important things: self-confidence, persistence and commitment. If you do not own it, you are ruined! It sounds a bit rough, but that is the ugly truth! This is the truth that your life teaches you, but if you change your habits on the time and change yourself, the results will be beyond any average.

As much as anyone thinks that bloggers do nothing and that everything including money and products fall from the sky especially at the moments when we, blogger want, that everything is waiting for us on the plate, and it is only for us to find the ideal white wall to take pictures of our fashion outfits… FALSE! Blogger’s work is very complex, some people who met me have changed their opinion about our profession because they saw with which problems we are facing daily. Each of us can be a blogger, you can run your blog and write about a topic or many different topics that really interact with you.

Bloggers need to know more things, besides having some talent for writing, they need to know how to edit photos, they must always improve themselves, have to learn new marketing tools, persistent to be good absolutely in everything. I started my blog by taking pictures with the help of my friends with a mobile phone, I told you about it in some post, to be honest right now I can not exactly remember in which, it does not matter now. It’s important that you know where you are going and that you do not lose your self for a pair nice shoes or some coat, this is where self-confidence, perseverance and dedication arouses to help you to get know yourself much better.

I have always been fortunate to be surrounded by people who are trying to help me in my vision to make Mr.M a something more than just a blog; it is simply an oasis of peace where everyone can relax and those few minutes that leave for themselves just to clear their minds with a cup of Coffee, if you encounter my blog, enjoy some nice and interesting topics like fashion and travel.

I mentioned FASHION and TRAVEL. These are two completely different things, but they can connect nicely. Fashion has always been a “cruel” industry. There always were high standards that were difficult to fulfill… Beauty has always been the most important thing and everything else is being suppressed. The average people have never been in fashion, but the times have changed NOW. We all see the top models look perfect on the runways and during the shootings of some fashion editorials. When you see them in live, finally you realize that they are not nothing special, that it is all makeup and a good Photoshop…

Yesterday I got an interesting question on Facebook and I shared with my friends in my own way:

Guys, I’ve just got an interesting question …

Person: “How can you be a blogger when you’re not beautiful?”

After 30 minutes I ate all the sweets in the house, I called 15 friends to cry and to find some good answer, I also called a plastic surgeon with the desire to change my personal appearance, but I realized that I need at least 30,000 dollars that I will not earn for my 10 lives… So, my diplomatic and calm answer was:

“Beauty is in the eye of an observer, good night and pleasant dreams!”

Many people thought this message was ridiculous because I wanted to entertain people on the way I usually do, but on the other hand, I really do not care about it, because I just wanted to entertain people and to share something interesting with them. Also, there are blogger who are sensitive to such messages, so they lose self-confidence and do not know how to continue with their work. I will only tell you one thing, as an average man with average intelligence, keep in mind that you need to look at yourself and go only through life, because beauty is transient. Beauty is a feature that has value only to cold and superficial people.

It’s great when a woman or a man is good as a person and beauty is just as an additional plus to all those other qualities. According to some of my modest opinions, people who are looking at the exterior only are cold and empty and try to make up some totally unnecessary standards.

Will beauty save the world and humanity? Believe me, we are all human, but rarely is a person. Strive to be a good person and provide everyone a chance and realize that there is nothing to insult or humiliate a person. Everybody is beautiful in his own way, each of us has something special and we need to appreciate what we really have.

At the end, I would like to tell you a short story about the outfit that you had the opportunity to see today on the photos. You saw this lovely shearling leather jacket last winter on the blog, I just decided to get it out of my closet and walk this season again. This amazing turtleneck sweater I’ve got from my friends from the fashion house Turo from Finland.

I received my boots last year from my friends from Burberry, just not to think that bloggers only bring things for a couple of times, then we throw it in the garbage like it hasn’t ever existed… I do not throw anything at all, I have things I’m keeping and I am happy to carry them even today, although all those years, this boots are something special for me, they are evidence that I did something good in my blogging life to get them.

My dear fashionistas, once again we have come to the end of this fashion – lifestyle tips post. Time just flies so fast when you are having a good time! Don’t worry in a couple of days I will publish a new post where we will continue together to enjoy the charms of traveling and we will star some new adventure!

All Roads Lead to Noventa Di Piave…

Hi guys, welcome to the new post. Today I have something special for you. Who follows me on social networks knows that I got a call couple weeks ago from the McArthurGlen Group of outlets to visit their outlet near Venice – Noventa Di Piave Designer Outlet. I accepted the invitation with great pleasure and on occasion I took the opportunity to refresh my wardrobe.

In this special series of posts there will be three posts, today’s one where you will find out something new about the outlet and a special event known as #FashionFestival and two special outfit post with 4 fashion combinations that will help you to get some ideas for your ideal fashion combination. Before I start, I would like to thank once again my friends from the McArthurGlen Group for the invitation and that you have surprised me with a special visit to the outlet that kept my heart.

Honestly, I can’t remember whether I used to write to you on a blog or on social media before a information that I spent a certain period of my life in Italy. I lived in the area of Veneto in a city that is known as a protector of students, good fun and arts – Padua. What’s the connection with this outlet? Perhaps at first sight that information do not have anything to do with it, but if I tell you that Padova is about a 30-minute drive from Venice, you may associate that little Marko went countless times to an eternal city on the water known as Venice. ?

When you are a student, of course you want to dress nice and to be always in trend with the latest fashion trends, but you do not have a lot of money in your pocket, it’s logical to use some other wise ways to get nice things for less money like buying clothing in second hand shops, shopping at outlets or on open markets, the shopping on open markets is especially exciting in Italy when you are trying to find some nice labels for good prices. Each of these options has its advantages and disadvantages, but when you do not have a lot of money, and you are a huge fan of fashion like me, you have to do some “fashion digging” and satisfy your fashion appetites in various ways.

On one occasion when I went to the supermarket to buy something to eat I noticed the ad for the Noventa Di Piave outlet. I wrote in my phone the name of the outlet and as soon as I came home I started with the researching, I was guided by the fact that this outlet advertised in Padova must be somewhere nearby…

After a short researching on the Internet, I decided to take the first weekend off for a day to visit Venice and go to that outlet. I wrote a list of what I need of new things in the wardrobe and left the list on the table near door, until the right time for Venice to come. What would I give for my careless student days to back again when I only had to worry about studying…

Finally that Saturday came, I started my day fresh, restful and full of enthusiasm, I entered the train and started my adventure with 130 euros in pocket just for shopping. I remember that first visit as if it were yesterday, that fear I will not throw money on the shuttle bus to the outlet and maybe I will not find anything that I need, but I decided to try my luck.

Somehow I found the way to a special shuttle bus that drives directly to the outlet, the outlet is relatively close, around thirty minutes drive from Venice. For the first time it is a bit difficult to find a bus stop that goes directly to the outlet, so when you are planning the visit to Noventa Outlet please read carefully this link. There are couple detailed explanations how you can reach the outlet with all kind of transports.

McArthurGlen outlets were not unknown to me, because I went with my parents and sister to a couple of their outlets in other European countries, but this was the first outlet which I found out on my own and that’s why I was most proud at that time.

In their outlets you can always find your favorite brands with constant discounted prices from 30% to 70% throughout the year. Noventa Outlet is special because of its beautiful architectural beauty that is enriched with mosaics and frescoes inspired by Venetian palaces. In Noventa Di Piave outlet you have over 150 stores and I’m sure you can always find something special for yourself or your dear ones.

The Noventa Di Piave Designer Outlet has evolved a lot since my last visit, many new and interesting shops have opened their doors in this paradise for real fashion lovers. My first visit was successful at the Guess store, I managed to catch a good deal and bought jeans, sweatshirts and two t-shirts for 60-70 euros, and in Nike I bought nice sneakers for 60 euros, it was just a fate that only my size left at the time.

After the purchase, I sat down and I wrote down on paper and calculated how much I would pay it all in Serbia and maybe in other countries in Europe and I came to the conclusion that without 300 euros I would not be able to buy all these things in Serbia. A lot of people in Serbia and some European countries have different prejudices about outlet and what kind of things are selling there and also the famous question about the quality of those things.

This time I found my happiness in Cesare Paciotti’s shop and I managed to find several pairs of shoes that can be purchased at significantly cheaper prices than those which are now in Serbia and also in some countries in Europe as well.

I’ll try to explain to you little a bit the concept of sales in outlet. What kind of goods are sold in outlet? Outlets officially sell goods remaining from the previous season, it is sorted and compared to the season that is currently active either for spring / summer or autumn/winter  depends on actual collections in official retail stores. Prices in the outlet are officially reduced from 30% to 70%; in some cases, the goods can be reduced by 80% and 90% if they are the last piece or the last pair when we are taking about footwear or some accessories or if the goods are little damaged with some visible signs of sort of damage.

Almost all fashion brands have their own factory outlet stores, from luxury fashion brands such as Prada, Salvatore Feragamo, Dsquared2, Fendi, Burberry and many other luxury brands have their own factory store or outlet channel of sale.

Trench and Backpack: Coach – Noventa Di Piave Designer Outlet

Also, some middle-class brands and street fashion brands have their own outlet stores, so a great balance has been achieved, and everyone can always find something nice at the outlet depends on your budget.

There is an opinion that luxury brands are expensive and outlet … Of course, they are not cheap, but there are certain cases when you can find some things extremely cheap. For that I’m a real fashionable “hunter”. I will tell you my two best experiences, I will not mention the brands, but I will give you the example of prices so you can keep in mind the relationship between price, quality and the benefits of buying as well which is good for you as a buyer.

Trench and Backpack: Coach; T-shirt and Trousers: Dsquared2 – Noventa Di Piave Designer Outlet.

The first example – a jacket. On one occasion I bought a winter feather winter jacket in one of the McArthurGlen outlets, branded for 150 euros, I also took tax free (VAT Refund for NON EU countries residents) and the jacket eventually cost me 130-135 euros. The first retail price of a jacket in the store was about 2000-2200 euros (I know this information because I know the approximate price), when it came to the outlet, its price was about 1000 euros, there was one size plus plus it had one problem. Zipper was broken, so it was almost impossible to close the jacket, but it remained a slider at least. The jacket was beautiful, the color, the model, it was my size, but with the little problem…

I just sit and think about a little… A nice and high quality winter jacket in Serbia with down feathers, fine wool and cashmere and fur on the hood costs a lot … This jacket costs about 130 euros, the material is good quality, and the zipper is possible to be repaired by a good tailor. I risked it and bought it, as soon as I came to Serbia I fixed my jacket and carried it regularly for 3,4 seasons and I still wear it occasionally. Now it has been in my wardrobe for 8 or 9 years now…

Another example… The finest leather gloves also branded, firm, with the cashmere layer inside special for winter, cost about 250-275 euros in the store, retail price… I paid them just 15 euros, you read it well 15 euros and bought two pairs of them in two different colors. Shoes for winter, retail price of 600-650 euros in official retail store in outlet I found it just for 100 euros, but they were not my size. So, the shoe maker has done its magic and today I am gladly wearing those shoes when it’s cold and slippery on the streets in winter season.

I love beautiful things and I always try to care about them well and keep them for a couple of seasons, no one has found money on the road to be able to buy constantly new things.

The main reason of my visit this time was a celebration of the 10th birthday of the Noventa outlet and to enjoy in the Fashion Festival (#FashionFestival) once again with my friends from the McArthurGlen group. What is the Fashion Festival? Fashion Festival is a special event when selected stores at McArthurGlen outlets on the territory of Italy give special additional discounts up to 70%. This is a great opportunity to use just to refresh your wardrobe and surprise yourself or your dear ones with interesting fashion pieces or some fashion accessories: shoes, some other leather goods, jewelry and other fashionable deacons.

Outfit by Philipp Plein – Noventa Di Piave Designer Outlet.

This year I have been invited to be one of the fashion ambassador for Noventa Di Piave Designer outlet and at least with a little help of my dear friends from Noventa Outlet. I tried to give you some inspiration, so I chose 4 dress combinations that I think you should have in the wardrobe this season.

I hope that at least I helped you a bit and you might get ideas for some of your perfect fashion combinations for this autumn/ winter season.

My travel (fashionable) memories…

Hello everyone! My dear ones, how are you today? I must admit that this little fresh time in Helsinki has prompted me to write this post. I’m just looking at my suitcase and asking myself, why I didn’t bring with me gloves which I need so much now here in Helsinki… After almost every special travel – fashion outfit post, you have asked me how I can be so “perfect dressed” for the trip and how much of clothing I bring with me on the trips. I decided to finally answer some questions. 🙂

I am just like any other ordinary person, I had a lot of downs and ups and at the very beginning of my blogging career I made many mistakes. The blog has taught me that I need to be practical and wear as less clothing as possible, to be carefully chosen and not to overload my suitcase. Sometimes, I repeat my old mistakes…

When I went to India, it was in February this year, I had no idea what exactly I should carry there, so I took it “elegantly” with nothing less than 30 kilograms of luggage because there was a crossover weather time. My luggage included 5 fashion outfit combinations and 4 pairs of shoes. Result: FAIL! From all those clothes I wore only two dress combinations and three pairs of sneakers/shoes. People mostly miss out on a traveling when they pack the travel bag when it comes to that famous crossover period between “winter and spring” and “autumn and winter”… You never know when it will fall some rain or simply get cold, whether there will be stronger winds and other weather disasters.

So in the far, far India, I took almost clothes for all 4 seasons, under the parole much is better than nothing! I did that because I don’t even want to imagine that I will get sick on the trip, this is most honestly my biggest nightmare, I believe as most people also do not like that. Flu can ruin the mood on the road and slow down the person, and as a blogger, it would be an additional obstacle for the successful completion of everyday work on the trip and that would affect on the quality of my content for blog and social media as well.

My first and the most important advice: When traveling to some far destinations during crossover weather season period, it is best to bring some thinner sweaters, which are made of thicker cotton and you should bring a thinner jacket which is good for windy time. In this way, you will avoid the famous “boiling” effect and you will not have a problem with sweating. As soon as I get a little sweaty with open jacket, I’m getting the first symptoms of a cold…

“Life in suitcases” can sometimes be very stressful and unpredictable, but a person gets used to it very fast. It’s not easy for an organism to get used to great climatic variations, so you should give your body an adequate one and pay attention to immunity. The body needs an extra energy intake to “break through” the day on the trip, especially when you are eager to see everything in a shorter period of time.

That is why it is necessary to rest as much as possible and there is not a lot of parties on the trips. You lose your energy unnecessarily and the next day you will not be able to start your day normally. A minimum of 9 to 10 hours of sleep is needed to bring your body in the best shape for the exploring the world. I’m sorry, my dear “party maniacs”, but that’s right! Fortunately, I do not have a problem with that, but I noticed that some of my colleagues bloggers like to spend the nights out on the trips, so they are not sure where they are when they wake up in the morning, because they are so tired.

Let’s go back to the main topic of this post: How to dress up well in difficult times of seasons during the year. The worst is when you travel to exotic areas during the winter period, because in Serbia and Europe it’s still very cold at the time, and no one can’t just easily judge what can be expected there at the final tourist destination.

Germany, for example, is a bit colder than Serbia, weather conditions in Berlin are often more difficult than in Belgrade. There are similar temperatures, there are sometimes larger differences in the same but subjective sense of wind is incomparable.

For example, last winter 2017/18 in Germany was colder than it was in Serbia. I only remember how my visit to Dresden was stiff with cold and I barely did shooting in the city. Regardless of all weather conditions, Dresden stayed in a beautiful memory and I would like to visit it again in the near future. In winter, it is much more difficult for a person, regardless of gender, that women and men are very hard to pack their winter things for the trip, because things are big and fluffy, so jackets can’t just fit in the suitcase properly.

My most honest advice is that you always have two winter jackets for the trip, one thick in which you will travel and another light one which you can pack and “compress” in a suitcase. Just one sweater of neutral color is enough, two pairs of pants are desirable to be one of the jeans, the less chance you will need to iron them and we all know that we are sometimes not very able to iron on travel.

I must admit that my trip to Sri Lanka in April this year was one of the most challenging trips in my blogging career. When you go there in Spring time, temperatures can range from 10 to 30 degrees depending on which part of the island you are going. One day I collected shells on the beach to enjoy the sun and warm Indian Ocean, the next day I’m in a jacket on tea fields…

Then it finally came spring mood, the time when you can wear short sleeves with thinner classic jacket, my favourite fashion piece. Spring and early autumn are the best periods of the year because it is neither too hot nor too cold so that it is much easier for a person to choose clothing.

Spring came with me in Salzburg this year, the city of Mozart, a music prodigy who was a real legend. Just imagine one young man who just conquered the world with his music. People of Salzburg are very proud, because he was born in Salzburg and now he is a symbol of their city. That is a huge privilege! It was a huge honour for me to visit his city and to present Salzburg on my blog.

To be honest, I did not feel the change of spring into the summer this year, there were no such sudden temperature differences, but I felt the real summer in Morocco in early May this year. An interesting trip, I met some new people and I make some new friendships there. There was an unusual friendship in Marrakech, so I would like to use this occasion to remind you on the beautiful young camel Melek, who was very kind and polite so my friend and photographer Saul captured begging of our friendship.

Melek is one beautiful angel, which is also the true meaning of her name. Morocco is a wonderful country and it was a great pleasure for me to have a chance to visit this Kingdom. The rest of the summer was exciting, so I took the opportunity to rest a bit, but I also continued to work, so this year I also had a working summer and I must confess I really enjoyed it.

You’ve been asking me for a lot of things that I did not go somewhere on vacation, so did I lose my desire and the will to write posts? My job is my little satisfaction, of course the blogger’s job can sometimes be very tough, especially when you write and edit images for hours for a couple of days in the row to get the content for the blog as expected in high-quality as always. I love my job and I didn’t regret for one second for choosing this career instead of my career of economist.

Writing is my first passion, something that relaxes me, pictures are just an add-on, and while I describe my experiences and adventures from the trip, I’m always reminded by some new details and it always finish good for me. Because of all these beautiful moments, I admit I love my job. I like to meet the world and when we are talking about traveling then I am completely tireless, although at the end my body sends me a warning message that it is time for a break, so suddenly I get sick for 2,3 days as a forced break. After that I continue on, as if there was nothing, because life is short, and we need to experience all these great adventures that each of us is waiting for!

My dear ones, once again we have come to the end of this special post. Time just flies so fast when you are having a good time! Don’t worry in a couple of days I will publish a new post where we will continue together to enjoy the charms of traveling and we will explore one of the shopping spots in Italy. I just can’t wait to show you what my friends from McArthurGlen Noventa Di Piave Designer Outlet and I have prepared for you guys. I promised that i will write a similar post like this this winter and I will make a new summary with all your guys and I will start with my favourite month in the year – September. I’m sure you know why that month is so important to me, but I will remind you again… Because it’s my birthday! 🙂

How do you like this post? Have you prepared everything for this Fall? I would like to hear your opinion! If you have a question, comment, suggestion or message for me, you can write me down in the comments. Of course, as always you can contact me via mail or social media, which you can find on the CONTACT page.

As I promised we’ll see again in a couple of days, so if something new and interesting happens to me, I promise, I will write to you!

Best,

Mr.M
