You know that I have been sharing my fashion adventures with you for years with great love and passion, with a firmly rooted charm of classic elegance, but after everything that happened to me after the surgery, I have my ups and downs. I may have skipped the spring-summer season this year, but I’m back to show you the beauty of the new autumn-winter collection of numerous brands because I’m especially happy to snuggle up in pieces that are not only warm and cozy, but also sophisticated. Today’s star of this fashion story will be this incredible black FERRAGAMO shearling jacket.
Each of the pieces from today’s story carries the story of a woman who carefully built her style throughout her life and each is a living part of the story of the famous fashion world. As a woman with a lot of life experience, I understand how important it is for clothing to be of high quality and for all aspects of the brand’s design and heritage to shine through in each fashion piece. Today’s story is an announcement of a new fashion season, but still a warm personal story that reflects the special combination of these brands and my personal story of style and femininity.
For me, fashion is much more than clothes, it is art in motion and a story about me. For many years I have been building my style by wanting to combine comfort and timeless elegance, just as Italian brands regularly show through their collections. Even today, at the age of 67, I believe that it is never too late for “La Dolce Vita” or as Federico Fellini put it: life is sweet elegance. On my journey to adulthood, fashion has always been my faithful companion. I remember buying my first designer handbag, walking on the cobblestones of Milan and the glamor of the 80s, which I experienced as a young girl full of dreams through numerous trips. Each chapter of that “sweet life” of my youth took me further in terms of fashion, making me now enjoy every outfit in which I recognize myself.
Apart from fashion, I like to talk about life, which has become a gift that I celebrate every day after surgery. As a daughter, sister and mother, I have learned to carry my heritage into every piece I wear. My family knows that the name “Mrs. Mom” is a true fashionista, and they know that style makes me happy. I see life through fashion as a daily ritual, choosing clothes becomes an act of gratitude to the body and spirit. That’s why I’m inspired by the idea of ”La Dolce Eleganza” as a way of life. In everyday life, I find small joys in the details and I believe that they are what depict my personal elegance. When I wear pieces like this outfit, I feel the warmth of memories and the pride of continuing the tradition of Italian fashion. I want to believe that you can find some inspiration in my story, whether you like Ferragamo, Hermès, Max Mara or all of them, fashion is something that makes my life after family more interesting.

The black FERRAGAMO shearling is an unmistakable classic. The material is extremely soft and finely pleated, and the cut is impeccably elegant and refined for every stylish woman. This monton exudes that passion for subtle yet powerful elegance that Ferragamo cultivates in its pieces. When I wear it, I feel comfort with style and security that only Italian fashion artisans can always make. This monton is so soft, just when I put it over my shoulder, it wraps around me like a hug, and I especially enjoy the feeling of wearing a piece of high fashion that is very light and comfortable at the same time. With this piece of clothing, I believe that the Ferragamo team wanted to convey the message that elegance and comfort go together and this jacket is proof that this is precisely the success of this timeless Italian brand from the heart of Tuscany – Florence.
It’s interesting that this black shearling is more than just a jacket, because sometimes it’s like an old friend who understands me. While I was taking pictures of this outfit on the street, a couple of random passers-by complimented me on my beautiful jacket. I always tried to follow each compliment with a smile and a warm thank you, with the unconscious thought that this jacket actually carries the story of the true knowledge and skill of Italian craftsmanship that the Salvatore Ferragamo team has woven into its clothing. Every seam and edge exudes care. I am still surprised by the elegant details like the elegant handmade leather collar or the discreet buckle: the noble shades of gold and the texture of the leather material remind me of the hills of Tuscany, the landscape from which the passion for the craft comes. Every thread and weave reminds me that FERRAGAMO valued inspiration from nature from the very beginning, and this is a legacy that I always carry with me with joy.
As I walked today to where I wanted to shoot this outfit, I thought countless times about the history that is woven into this amazing design. Salvatore Ferragamo opened his first store in Florence in 1927 and since then his creations have been expected to be a mix of innovation and top Italian craftsmanship. This still stands today as a sign of his reputation, because Ferragamo has a recognized international reputation in the fashion world.
I plan to wear this shirt on some more formal occasions as well. Maybe with a simple black dress and pearls, because in such moments I feel like I’m re-creating the already started scene of old Italian movies about glamor and actresses wearing only the best. Many will say it’s vintage, but this shearling jacket of mine carries a modern spirit: it combines clean lines and balanced proportions with some subtle hidden elegance.
FERRAGAMO Black Trousers, a Sophisticated Must-Have Classic
Black elegance is never enough, so these FERRAGAMO trousers have become the basis of many outfits. When it gets cold, I like to wrap my neck in warm knitwear from the Max Mara collection, as their cashmere garments provide a gentle touch of comfort and luxury. I feel the softness of the fine material that hugs me like a favorite coat, yet every stitch is precisely made. Max Mara is a fashion house with a tradition of outstanding craftsmanship: their founder Achille Maramotti launched the brand in 1951, which would become the leader of modern women’s ready-to-wear. No matter how modern and urban, this brand appreciates discreet tailoring and premium materials. While I was getting ready for this photo shoot, I looked in the mirror and I was adjusting the collar of my turtleneck and I felt a sense of true elegance. This is definitely no ordinary sweater, but a little masterpiece of Italian design. I know that Max Mara carefully selects fibres: from fine cashmere to quality wool, so that the fabric is as delicate as the icing on the finest cake. I have to admit, it’s so soft I’d describe it as the coziest hug in clothing form. I never feel cold when I wear it, every cold day like that reminds me why I appreciate a brand that sets high standards for itself.
Max Mara is also special because the brand has always focused on modern, self-aware women, not victims of trends. Achille Maramotti then dreamed of women who appreciate practical yet luxurious pieces. His motto was that clothes are there to emphasize the character of the woman who wears them, and not to dictate fashion, that’s exactly the power of this roll, which can be sophisticated and casual at the same time. Just as Max Mara combines tradition and innovation in its values, so I combine elegant spirit and spontaneity.
I can’t fail to mention their iconic coats: Max Mara is known in the fashion world for their “Teddy Bear” coats as well as the classic “101801” coats. I own an interesting collection of Max Mara coats and every time I think of them, I am inspired by the passion that the Maramotti family invests in luxurious minimalism.
Interesting Story: How I got the Hermès Birkin Bag
The Hermès Birkin bag is the dream of every true lover of luxury fashion, and I am no exception. When I went on my first business trip to Paris, while I was walking the streets of Paris and admiring the windows of luxury fashion brands, I was drawn to one, a beautiful example of a Birkin bag was shining in it. I didn’t know at the time that that particular black model would become a symbol of my fashion happiness. I have been researching this fashion phenomenon and the history of the French fashion house Hermès for a long time. If legend is to be believed, the Birkin bag was created in 1984 after a chance meeting between the Hermès director and actress Jane Birkin on a flight from Paris to London. The bag is immediately conceived as a large, elegant piece that combines sophistication and practicality. Today, Birkin is a symbol of luxury: each model is made by an experienced artist, who spends 15 to 20 hours of dedicated work. That handmade bag reminds me that there can be and is a little piece of magic in every fashion item.
I bought my first Hermès bag from my bonus, and then the bag was not waited for like today, but could be bought like any normal bag in the store. That moment when the bag finally reached me, I couldn’t take the smile off my face knowing that I was carrying a piece of history and craftsmanship. Then I bought a bag made of plain leather, but I saw beautiful crocodile bags that were too expensive for my income, but I made a promise that one day I would own one such bag. For those not familiar with the history of this famous French fashion house, the beginnings of Hermès are quite artisanal: the house was founded in 1837 as a workshop for saddles and horse equipment in Paris. Every Birkin bag, including mine, is created in an Italian or French atelier with the kind of attention we rarely see today. Those solid seams and precise edges are not worked by ordinary machines, but by human hands that pass knowledge from generation to generation. Now that I wear it, with every movement and elegance I feel that I am an extension of that traditional artisanal spirit.
How did I get this exotic Birkin? 3 years ago, March 2022 to be exact, my son received an interesting email from a lady who complimented me on my work on the blog and invited me to her own private sale. When we read the name of the sender of the e-mail better, my son and I realized that it was one of the women who belong to the very top of the Berlin elite, and then her life was a real roller coaster due to a stormy divorce. The purpose of this sale was for the famous owner to get rid of all the unwanted gifts she ever received from her husband after decades of marriage…
Marko and I left without too much hope of buying anything as neither of us could even guess the price range as this was the sale of the century. When we entered the rented hall of the luxury hotel, we were greeted by the smiling hostess of this event and showed us around the tables, which were full of luxury pieces of shoes, jewelry, bags, clothes lined up with labels, things were like new. At one point Marko comes excitedly to me and tries to drag me to the glass windows where the bags made of exotic skins stood. We were given gloves and the hostess asked us which bag we would like to see.
There were at least 40-50 Hermes bags made of exotic leathers, models like Birkin, Kelly, Constance simply blew my mind. One of them was this bag and the owner explained that she hadn’t worn it for a long time, that she got it a long time ago and that it got that patina color from standing so it looks black-grey. What won me over were the gold details and I thought this would be the first and last time I would see such bags in my life. Since she was the only one with gold accessories, there was no other choice for me.
I was afraid to ask for the price because I thought I would die of sadness that I would have to leave her, but my Marko, as always, was more direct and faster than me and asked for the price. What shocked me was the answer of our hostess: “How much can you pay her right now and take it out of my life?”. I asked her to repeat, she explained why she didn’t like that bag and why she didn’t wear it, and since she likes our blog, she would be happy if that bag made someone happy. I shyly told Marko how much money I brought because I assumed it was paid in cash and Marko without a moment’s thought told the amount to the hostess and she smiled and said: “Looks like the bag has found a new home!”.
She asked her assistants to bring boxes and papers for the bag and let us choose a gift scarf for the bag and a toy, an ornament for the purse, so that we would have one nice package. I was in shock the whole time while Marko was finishing it and later on the way out I noticed another bag that I couldn’t believe I would ever find and the woman said that we can pay the amount to her account because she likes our work and she is convinced that we will pay because her goal was to sell out all the things in two days. I paid for those two bags symbolically, and to this day I am still shocked at how I managed to do it.
Play of Patterns: Dolce & Gabbana Black Patent Shoes mixed up with Leopard
These leopard leather shoes are my little rebellion against conventional elegance. Every time I put them on, I feel the energy of the Mediterranean temperament, a bit rebellious, but at the same time flirtatious. Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, the duo behind this brand, drew inspiration from Italian culture and Mediterranean heritage; their aesthetic is proud and bright, just like their favorite leopard print.
It always makes me smile when I remember how Domenico and Stefano adopted that print: their first collection called “Le Eolie” from 1992 was a real ode to leopard patterns. Since the print has become a trademark of the brand, every new collection undoubtedly brings at least one piece in a wild pattern. As a loyal fan of their passion, these shoes bring me a bit of wild beauty every day. It’s not just about the pattern here, it’s also about the way they are designed: they are so tight and flirty, they add volume to the leg and firmness to the step, they remind me of the baroque style on the streets of Naples and Milan. Every metal detail, such as small buckles and detailed seams, exudes luxury that can be felt even while walking. I know that D&G shows how fashion is for brave souls, so I wear them when I want to add a dose of fun drama with bright prints to my everyday life.
Just like my favorite dresses from the D&G collections, these shoes are a combination of beauty and comfort and taught me that there are no rules in fashion. I let them be my little rebellion and I know that with them every step I take echoes with courage and confidence. Because the point of fashion is not to blindly follow trends, but that every step and pattern be the personal attitude of the person who wears them, which Dolce & Gabbana always show with their creations.
