The history of this brand is unusual and exciting, so I will try to share with you some interesting moments that marked the work of this brand. The story of this brand has been going on since 1856, until today, and this is an unusual success story.

Founded in 1856 by Giuseppe Allemano, the factory originally operated in the area of heavy industry, producing steam-powered road rollers used in road construction. 1919 was a turning point when the first measuring instruments were created. At the beginning of the 20th century, thanks to the experience gained in pressure control, production changed to measuring tools for pressure and temperature control. Those pressure gauges were installed on military vehicles and Italian cars such as the Fiat 501 Torpedo, the first Fiat series-produced to be equipped with an Allemano pressure gauge from 1919.

The year 1929 is extremely important for the Allemano brand, as it is the year the company was founded. Son Felice renamed the company Allemano F. & Figli, strengthening the production of precision mechanics for the manufacture of extremely precise manometers, thermometers and dynamometers, defining the logo that is still used today.

A little later, in 1950 to be precise, Allemano studies, plans and manufactures a whole series of measuring instruments for aviation, such as manometers for fuel and oil control, which were also used for trains and ships. With a complete assortment of precision instruments, Allemano begins cooperation with the mechanical industry, presenting its instruments for presses, industrial machines, and chemical and oil plants.

Paolo’s son, who was named after his founding grandfather – Enrico, joined the family business in the early 60’s when the work of the third generation of the Mandelli family began. Thanks to him, the Enrico Mandelli company reached the highest quality of production in Italy, using the finest leathers and the best precious fibers in the world. Andrea Maria Mandelli, Enrico’s son, as a representative of the fourth generation, has been at the head of the company since 1996. With a master’s degree in business administration, he further enhanced the company by building on its legacy, the excellence for which the name Mandelli Milano is known worldwide.

The work of this fashion house developed together with its visionaries and fashion designers, so that many famous fashion designers of today participated in the construction of this incredible family fashion empire. During the 70s, the Enrico Mandelli company contributed to the expansion of Italian fashion in the world, starting to collaborate with the best Italian designers such as Walter Albini, the father of pret-a-porter. The BASILE brand was born in the 70s. The collaboration becomes very important when the brand became the first company in Italy to produce industrially made ready-to-wear for men and women.

Designer Luciano Soprani, known for his pret-a-porter collections known all over the world, decided to entrust the creation of his collection to the Enrico Mandelli company. This cooperation has been a great success for many years to mutual satisfaction.

The famous fashion maestro designer Emanuel Ungaro was an unusual and one of the most constructive experiences for the Enrico Mandelli company in a sophisticated French way. In the 1980s, Franco Moschino represented the most innovative and unusual designer. In those years, a working collaboration, but also a special friendship, was born between Rachel and Enrico Mandelli, which would last more than a decade.

The partnership between designers Domenico Dolce & Stefano Gabbana was born in the late 80s and lasted for 15 years. The Enrico Mandelli company received a worldwide license for the production of Dolce Gabbana leather clothing. This experience has made the company grow from both an operational and a technical point of view, becoming a world leader.
