Autumn Fashion Rhapsody in Berlin…

Dear my fashionistas,

Good morning and welcome to my new fashion story. I sincerely hope that you have recharged your batteries and are ready for new week. Happy Monday! It’s time for a new fashion story and let’s see how my new friend Morris fits into my wardrobe and how he enjoys his life in Germany.

I would like to thank you for the wonderful messages and emails you have sent me in last couple of days regarding my fashion stories. I really feel indescribable pleasure and joy when I hear your reactions and I am glad that we have been together in the same place for years and that we are connected by positive energy even in these unpredictable, difficult times.

I decided to use these rare sunny days in Berlin, because they are very rare during the fall. The climate in Berlin during autumn and winter is colder and more unstable than in rest part of Europe. During one day, you can feel what all four seasons look like, because the climate in this part of Germany is simply like that! 🙂

There is one place I love to visit in Berlin whenever I have free time and there I can enjoy the beauty of the architecture and the good music of the street performers! Welcome to the cultural gem of the capital of Germany – The Museum Island!

I decided to use this elegant classy outfit to enjoy the beautiful sunny day and the beauty of the museums located on this unusual “island” in Berlin.

The Museum Island is a building complex consisting of five museums in the northern part of the island of Spree river in the historic center of East Berlin. It is one of the most important sights of the German capital and one of the most important museum complexes in Europe as well.

The island was created in the period between 1830 and 1930 as part of the Prussian kings according to the plans of five architects. This architectural gem has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1999 as a complete architectural complex.

The museum island consists of the Old Museum, the New Museum, the Old National Gallery, the Bode Museum and the Pergamon Museum. Since the reunification of Germany, the island has been renovated and expanded as part of the Museum Island’s master plan. It opened in 2019 and James-Simon-Galerie opened as a new art center for visitors.

The museum island also includes the beautiful Lustgarten Park and the famous Berlin Cathedral, which you can find on almost every postcard next to the famous symbol of Berlin – the Brandenburg Gate. In the southern part of the “island” there is the former Royal and Imperial Berlin Palace and the Palace of the Republic.

Prussian collections separated during the Cold War and the division of the city, but reunited after the reunification of Germany, with the exception of some works of art and artifacts that were removed by Allied troops after World War II. These include Priam’s treasure, also called the gold of Troy, which Heinrich Schliemann excavated in 1873, then “transferred” from Turkey to Berlin and smuggled from Germany to Moscow. Today it is kept in the Pushkin Museum in Moscow.

When the construction of the island is completed according to the master plan soon in the future, the so-called archeological promenade will connect four of the five museums on the island. The promenade will start at the Old Museum in the south, lead through the New Museum and the Pergamon Museum and end at the Bode Museum, which is located at the northern tip of the Island.

Before World War II, these museums were connected by a bridge over the ground, but was destroyed during the war. Authorities have never planned a renovation, but instead, the central courts of some museums will be lowered, which has already been done in the Bode Museum and the New Museum. They will be connected by underground galleries. In a way, this archeological promenade can be considered the “sixth museum” on the Island, because it was conceived not only as a connecting corridor, but also as a special exhibition room.

The archeological promenade can be characterized as a total collection of artistic treasures that are presented separately (in accordance with cultural regions, epochs and artistic genres) in individual museums on the Island.

The Archaeological Promenade will deal with topics with multiple focuses that have occupied the human mind, regardless of time and cultural region, whether it is a matter of life after death or a matter of beauty and other unusual topics.

I tried to give you a short brief of the Museum Island, but in a couple of weeks we will have the opportunity to peek into the art collections of these museums and see what beauties of art are hidden in the museums located on this unusual island. I can’t wait to share that with you!

The Island of the Museum is an oasis of beauty and peace for me, I always come here to enjoy the exceptional view and to observe the people, all those “Berliners” who feel that way and spend their free time in this beautiful place. Museum Island is a place where a large number of films have been made, so many romantic scenes in German films were shot on the famous bridge, which offers the most beautiful view of the Berlin Cathedral.

The idea of my today’s outfit was to show the possibility of connecting navy blue shades with earth tones and neutral beige color. Of course, there is also Morris, who won your hearts in a short time, and this year he is a welcome guest on my blog.

Due to the unpredictable climate in Berlin during the fall, Morris proved to be my best friend because he likes going out in the fresh air, we both like to walk, but I also like to feel warm and comfortable while enjoying the beauties of the capital Berlin by acting like a tourist.

Of course, this time too, my friends from the Johnstons of Elgin brand from Scotland took care of the extremely soft and impressive knitted pieces, who raised my love for unique things made of wool and cashmere to a higher level and I must admit that they spoiled me a little bit.

This time the accessory around my neck is a contrasting reversible cashmere scarf. Two perfect and unique style editions in one, this piece of cashmere is real must have fashion item for the winter period, apart from the fact that you will get protection from the wind and be tucked in, you have one perfect fashion piece that you can fit with any winter outfit.

Of course, I will use these last beautiful and dry days in Berlin, so I walk my navy velvet sneakers, which I was a little skeptical about at first sight, because I was afraid that how the velvet material would fit my style. The first thing on my mind was upkeep process, but as they survived a couple of unexpected rainy days out they have now become my favorite winter piece!

Of course, the navy blue color with these golden AG logo and details easily blended in with the rest of the autumn “residents” of my wardrobe and for now it goes well with all outfits, so I broke another of my prejudices that velvet is not just a material that can be worn in spring or summer, but also that it can be equally useful in gloomy autumn days.

The entire outfit is made up of products from the new Johnstons of Elgin and MooRER collection for autumn-winter 2020/21. In the list below you can find links for each product from today’s post.

I would like to take this opportunity to draw your attention to the self care and protection of yourself and your beloved ones. Let’s prevent the spread of the Corona virus and try to make this one day just one bad dream that we have successfully forgotten.

Since I made these photos outdoors and I stick to the prescribed physical distance of 2 meters, I didn’t need to wear masks, but I wear a mask indoors and regularly buy hand sanitizers in small packages so I can always carry them with me.

Angelo Galasso, synonymous with Italian Luxury world of Elegance…

My dear fashionistas, I sincerely hope that you are doing great and that you are ready for another fashion story from the streets of Berlin. Have you ever thought about the truth of the quotes: “Fashion as a way of life.” or “Fashion as a philosophy of life”. Are there just empty stories or is there something more hidden behind these words?

Fashion is just one of the elements that make up our daily lives better. From an early age, our parents first prepare us for our first outings, some important events, and then we gradually learn about fashion and its influence throughout our lives.

I’m sure you’ve heard the wisdom: “A suit doesn’t make a man, but it says a lot about him…” if we analyse these words well, we will really understand the importance of this quote. Whenever you are meeting someone for the first time, your first impression on the clothes which that person is wearing.

Today I will introduce to you one of the most famous brands that is known for its elegant suits and shirts, but I had the desire to step out of the world of classic elegance and present one everyday elegant casual fashion outfit.

Welcome to Angelo Galasso world, the brand behind one fashion genius who managed to combine this timeless Italian classic style with innovative design to get this unusual fashion fusion.

The Angelo Galasso brand was founded in 2009 and over time has become synonymous with luxury of clothing and fashion accessories that offer unsurpassed timeless Italian elegance. This brand nurtures the traditional Italian style and combines it with innovative design by creating exclusive and unique clothes that are tailored to people with refined taste. Mr. Galasso considers his brand to be an evolution in the fashion tradition, which it really is!

At first sight, this fashion outfit looks ordinary, a casual fashion outfit, we have the jeans, a T-shirt and sneakers, iconic parts of an ordinary everyday casual combination with which you can wear for non formal business meeting or just to enjoy a beautiful day in your leisure time.

What is the secret of the Angelo Galasso brand? This Italian-British brand preserves all the values of traditional Italian fashion while respecting the elements of the legendary Italian style and cuts with an additional component of British elegance and sophistication.

There is no term “compromise” in Angelo Galasso’s fashion dictionary, because from the creative vision, the choice of materials, production and the final product, everything is at a high level because the refined taste of this fashion genius. In addition to amazing Italian cuts, this brand is also known for its caring attention to details.

In my outfit today, you have the opportunity to see jeans, the model follows the body line and they are casual, but they also have exotic fashion details such as real python leather details on the pockets.

Also, the design and the quality of fashion accessories on the jeans are exceptional, and at first sight, you can notice a significant difference between Angelo Galasso pair of jeans from other brands of jeans on the market.

The next fashion detail that has caught my full attention are these elegant navy sneakers made of a material that is unusual for men – velvet. This luxurious blue velvet sneakers with the embroidered signature AG Araldica Logo in gold on the outer left side. This sneakers are unique and casual wardrobe statement piece.

The quality of materials and their processing is at a high level with this famous brand. Angelo Galasso takes great care of his master pieces of art and carefully selects the materials, as well as their special production process.

For the end, I left the story of this taupe T-shirt, which is made of a special silk thread that allows the skin to breathe, and there is no fear that you will have those unpleasant stains from sweating. The T-shirt is extremely comfortable and the colour is quite easy for combing because this shade of taupe colour easily matches with other colours.

Of course, in addition to its quality composition silk and cotton, the T-shirt also has unusual details such as buttons with black discrete crystals, which gives it a special elegant note. As I said at the very beginning of this post, this just looks like an ordinary everyday casual outfit, but it is really unique and original because of all wonderful luxury details.
