Loro Piana: All Shades of Blue will Look Good on You!

My dear fashion lovers, welcome to a new fashion story on the Mr.M blog. I hope you are well and ready for a new dose of fashion. We start today’s fashion adventure with old friends of the Mr.M blog, one far and wide famous iconic Italian fashion house located at the very top of the fashion scene – Loro Piana.

The outfit that you will have the opportunity to see today was just one of numerous outfits planned for a special trip on Safari in Africa, but due to the unprofessional way of doing business of the Namibia Tourism Board, due to numerous omissions of their employees, the trip was not held because my team was deceived after four months of negotiations and the trip was unfortunately not realised due to business irresponsibility and exceptional unprofessionalism of the team of the Namibia Tourism Board who, even after the warning of my legal team, did not speak up or show any kind of readiness and willingness to find a common solution for the numerous problems they caused to the Mr.M team and our partners after the confirmed collaboration and trip that was supposed to will be held at the end of July – mid-August this year. 

I would like to publicly apologize to all partners of this project who wholeheartedly trusted and gave their selfless contribution and support. After 10 years of a successful blogging and influencer career, this is the first time I have experienced such an unpleasant situation in which I found myself due to deception by the employees of the Nambia tourism organization. I hope you will like the outfit regardless of the current circumstances, I tried to respect all the brands that were part of this project.

Loro Piana is an Italian company specialised in clothing and textile products. This fashion house is considered the largest producer of cashmere and also the world’s largest artisanal company processing the luxury fiber.

The Loro Piana company has three divisions (textile divisions): a division that deals with the production of high-quality materials using precious fibers such as cashmere and baby cashmere, vicuna, linen and merino wool, a division that deals with the creation of luxury fashion items(production and distribution of men’s, women’s clothing, footwear and fashion accessories) and the interior design department – production and distribution of interior design products.

The Bally brand was founded by Karl Franz Bally and his brother Fritz Bally in the basement of their family home in the town of Schonenverd, Switzerland. Their original products were elastic bands. During a business trip to Paris in 1849, Carl Franz wanted to buy his wife lace-up boots. Unfortunately, he was unable to remember the size his wife was wearing, he decided to buy that model of boots in all available sizes, knowing that one pair would surely be the right one. This is what I call the love!

During a visit to one Paris factory where boots were made, he noticed that each shoe had buttons with elastic bands similar to those produced by his family in Switzerland. Carl Franz got the idea to create something new, so he decided to expand his business to the production of footwear. Together with his brother Fritz, Carl Franz hired designers to help them, and so they started hand-making shoes in the basement of his house.

The Bally company was founded in the basement of one family house in 1851, and only three years later the first factory was built, which was located in the center of the town. Unfortunately, in 1854, Karl’s brother Fritz Bally retired and left this job.

By the 1870s, the Bally brand was already recognized as a leader in the footwear industry. The company name changed to CF Bally and then to CF Bally & Sons when Karl handed over the business to his sons in 1892 and passed away a few years later. The fact is that Karl passed on his tireless creative and visionary pioneering spirit to his sons. Bally as a brand has grown and thrived by opening its stores in Geneva, Buenos Aires, Paris and London.

In the 1980s, Bally was also one of the first European luxury goods brands to open in post-reforms and opening borders to China. The brand has also expanded its range to include clothing, bags and leather goods for men and women. In the 1990s, Bally became a global brand, opening its stores in Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Lebanon and Turkey.

Lanvin is a French luxury fashion house based in Paris. Founded in 1889 by Jeanne Lanvin, it is the oldest French fashion house still in operation. Since 2018, it has been a subsidiary of the Lanvin Group based in Shanghai. The House of Lanvin was named after its founder Jeanne Lanvin in 1889. Loro Piana is an Italian company specialised in clothing and textile products. This fashion house is considered the largest producer of cashmere and also the world’s largest artisanal company processing the luxury fiber.

The Loro Piana company has three divisions (textile divisions): a division that deals with the production of high-quality materials using precious fibers such as cashmere and baby cashmere, vicuna, linen and merino wool, a division that deals with the creation of luxury fashion items (production and distribution of men’s, women’s clothing, footwear and fashion accessories) and the interior design department – production and distribution of interior design products.

Originally from Trivero, the Loro Piana family started their family business in the wool trade at the beginning of the 19th century. In the second half of this century, the family moved its activities to Valsesia and founded the Fratelli Lora e Compagnia woolen mill, and then the Zignone & C. woolen mill in Quarona at the beginning of the 20th century. Engineer and founder of the Loro Piana brand, Mr. Pietro Loro Piana founded the company Loro Piana & C. in Quarona in 1924. Soon this company will celebrate its jubilee 100th anniversary of its existence and it will be an extraordinary celebration of the “first fashion century” of this extraordinary fashion house, which I am immensely looking forward to!

Mr. Franco Loro Piana (grandson of Mr. Pietro Loro Piana), after taking over the leadership of the company in the 1960s, started exporting high quality fabrics to Europe, America and Japan. He significantly expanded the markets in which Loro Piana began its new business ventures.
