Lanvin is a French luxury fashion house based in Paris. Founded in 1889 by Jeanne Lanvin, it is the oldest French fashion house still in operation. Since 2018, it has been a subsidiary of the Lanvin Group based in Shanghai. The House of Lanvin was named after its founder Jeanne Lanvin in 1889. Lanvin was founded in 1867 and opened its first store in rue du Marche Saint Honore in 1885.

Lanvin made clothes for her daughter Marie-Blanche de Polignac, which began to attract the attention of many wealthy people, who were looking for creations for their children.
