We continue today’s fashion adventure with well-known old friends, I’m sure you remember the brand Aida Barni, which is synonymous with the perfect softness and refined Italian processing of cashmere. Last season we enjoyed the beauty of bright colors, while this year I decided to paint cold autumn days in distant Ecuador with pastel colors. In today’s fashion story I will share with you an unusual piece from their new winter collection!

Soft, light and warm cashmere items are also a good investment and practical during winter. When you give someone a cashmere sweater as a gift, it is a gift from the heart because a cashmere sweater carries with it a certain symbolism.

Aida Barni is a brand belonging to the Annapurna Group. Founded in 1978, the Annapurna Group has become one of the leading Italian and world producers of high-quality cashmere knitwear with its two fashion lines, Annapurna and Aida Barni.

Annapurna uses all the latest production techniques available on the market, from cotton looms to the latest and most advanced knitwear machines of all sizes. The current production capacity is about 120,000 pieces per year. It is important to note that the entire production cycle is performed in Italy, more precisely in the factory of the company located in the city of Prato, which is also the center of the province of the same name located in the heart of Italy – Tuscany.

“Made in Italy” is more than a production concept, but this brand has proven to be much more than the perfect cashmere sweater on a store shelf. It is love at first touch, an impression to remember.

Annapurna is a name that evokes everyone with exceptional mountain landscapes, especially the mountain range in the Himalayas where goats live with their winter fleece, hiding the soft, warm “cloak” that made them so famous.

Aida Barni is an iconic and fascinating name for a fashion line that produces high quality knitwear from the finest cashmere. Aida Barni is a symbol of a goal for a woman who decided to enter the world of business in the late seventies and reach the very top of this challenging and one of the most difficult sectors of the market.

The Aida Barni brand was created as an artistic expression of the way of life and existence, the essence of unstressed chic, refined luxury. A collection for men and women dedicated to everyone who loves timeless and elegant knitwear that encompasses true elegance in the preciousness of materials, shapes and details.

The man who wears Aida Barni knitwear does not follow trends, but creates and adapts to the needs of everyday life. The men’s collection is made up of cult clothing items of sentimental value, which evoke a healthy and environmentally friendly way of life. Customers of the Aida Barni brand love natural and fine yarns, enjoy comfort, but do not give up the elegance and sophistication of cuts and models. Aida Barni concept of men’s “sports elegance” is simple and with style, but rich in materials and inconspicuous details that make this brand cult because it represents an expression of uniqueness and special class.

The sweater you see in today’s post is from the latest Aida Barni Autumn – Winter 2024/25 collection, beige colour is made of pure cashmere with special work in the form of oversized braids. This sweater is made of the highest quality cashmere in a beautiful beige color that is ideal for the new season, which can easily be combined with all the colors in your wardrobe!

You can buy Aida Barni cashmere items in multi-brand stores and department stores across Europe and the world and through authorized online stores. When you give someone an Aida Barni piece, it is more than respect and love because you are giving a piece in which love and deep respect for art that is not worshiped every day is woven.

For all Aida Barni fans in Germany, I have discovered two men’s spots where you can find and enjoy in the beauty of Aida Barni incredible knitwear: Braun Hamburg and Mientus retail stores.

WOOYOUNGMI is a South Korean menswear brand launched in Paris by designer Youngmi Woo in 2002. The creative duo once stated that art and architecture are the main sources of inspiration for the brand. Since the brand’s inception, WOOYOUNGMI has cemented itself as a major global contender for designer menswear. Despite being Korean, they found that the French capital would better suit their aesthetic and growing ambitions. After 22 years of continuous success, Ms. Woo and her daughter and co-creative director of the brand, Katie Chung, are constantly striving to give new fashion definitions to the WOOYOUNGMI man and achieving a good fashion and life balance. Interestingly, WOOYOUNGMI is the first menswear brand in South Korea headed by women as creative directors.

Youngmi Woo was born in Seoul, South Korea in 1959. Her father was the head of an architectural firm, which allowed her to travel a lot, bringing home international magazines, which the young Youngmi studied, becoming curious about the world outside of Korea. Together with her mother, who taught both art and piano, they did their best to use what they had to provide a creative environment for their five children. She studied fashion at Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul. After graduating in 1983, she was chosen to represent Korea at the Japan International Fashion Contest in Osaka where she won.

Not long after, in 1988, Ms. Youngmi Woo launched the menswear brand Solid Homme, starting with a single store. Today, there are 21 stores opened in cooperation with the Hyundai Group, as well as others with Lotte, Shinsegae and Galleria. A few years later, in 1993, Ms. Woo and her young designer friends started “New Wave”, as a platform for young designers to showcase their work. This paved the way for today’s Seoul Fashion Week. Designer Youngmi Woo founded her eponymous brand WOOYOUNGMI in 2002 in Paris. She has always wanted to start a brand that allows her the freedom to design for her vision of her ideal man.

The WOOYOUNGMI brand has been showing at Paris Menswear Week since 2003. A few years later, in mid-2011, the WOOYOUNGMI brand became an official member of La Chambre Sindicale de la Mode Masculine. Also in the same year, the brand collaborated with London department store Selfridges on the “My Coat, My Gift” event, where five young London creatives were asked to redesign the best-selling coat no. 51. The resulting designs were exhibited in a special pop-up at Selfridges, with a percentage of the coat’s sales during the event being donated to charity.

The following year, in 2012, under the artistic direction of daughter Katie Chung, WOOYOUNGMIbegan collaborating with artists to create their advertising campaigns. Artists who participated in this project, to name a few, are sculptor Guerra de la Paz and Korean artist Osang Gwon with her unique blend of sculpture and photography, and painter Clemens Krauss. Not long after, in 2014, WOOYOUNGMI launched a special capsule collection with the online shopping platform Mr Porter. In September of the same year, Youngmi Woo was named one of the 500 people shaping the global fashion industry by Business of Fashion in its “BoF 500”. Katie Chung, her daughter, was named joint creative director in 2014 and presented her first collection in June 2014 as part of the Spring-Summer 2015 collection.

Since its launch, the brand has broken into the Western market with high-end retailers such as Selfridges in London and Bon Marche in Paris, WOOYOUNGMI has established itself as a leading Korean men’s brand in Europe.

In today’s fashion story, you have the opportunity to see an interesting fashion piece from the WOOYOUNGMI collection for FW 2024/25. High-waist pants are a special piece that I had the opportunity to see this fall season, I have not had the opportunity to try this model of trousers with many striking details. Apart from the model, the material and the texture of the material itself is special, the pants are made of a combination of wool and cashmere, the material is extremely light and it is important to point out that it is a great advantage that the pants do not wrinkle, so you don’t need to worry about ironing.

If you want to stay updated and find out what new products WOOYOUNGMI has prepared for us in the new FW24/25 fashion season, follow this incredible fashion house on Facebook and Instagram.

Today’s fashion adventure continues with new friends of the Mr.M blog, an exclusive Swiss watch brand that I’m sure you’ll love at first sight – Appella! Usually when people think about the precision work and excellence of watches, they would often imagine some Swiss watch brand. The centuries-old tradition of Helvetic watchmaking has made “Made in Swiss” synonymous with the highest quality. Born from this tradition, the Appella brand embodies the spirit of craftsmanship and is proud to bear the mark of Swiss production.

The roots of the Appella brand go back to the first half of the 20th century, when the Swiss watchmaker Paul Glocker took his first steps in running the Ebossa group. He was not only a skilled craftsman, but also a successful businessman, when he founded the Appella watch brand in 1943.

Mr. Glocker, the founder of Appella, derived his success from the production of Roskopf watch movements at his Ebossa factory, which at the time were considered the pinnacle of Swiss craftsmanship. Inspired by a revolutionary mechanical design and manufacturing process, Mr. Glocker ensured that Appella’s vision contained the same qualities of excellence. The Appella brand continues to draw from its rich history. The legacy of the extraordinary watchmakers who created the brand lives on through tradition as they continue to inspire the makers and designers of Appella watches today.

The new owner of the Appella brand, ADRIATICA PR & A Watch Sagl is a company with a rich background and a long tradition in the world of watchmaking. Under the supervision of ADRIATICA PR & A Vatch Sagl, customers of the Appella brand worldwide will receive the best experience worthy of the SWISS MADE guarantee. If one were to ask what comes to mind when you think of Swiss watches, many would associate them with reliability, high quality, elegance and traditional style. The Adriatica brand embodies these qualities and is universally appreciated for them. The same level of reliability and elegance is represented by the Appella watch brand.

For a long time, these two brands were separate, but coexisted in the same space. Buyers looking for Swiss watches with a true Helvetian spirit would often choose between the Adriatica and Appella watch brands. Creativity can often be driven by competition, but it is the spirit of collaboration that can create the best results. This vision inspired Adriatic’s owners who saw the potential that the Appella brand could bring. With their customers at heart, Adriatica and Appella have joined forces to make the ADRIATICA PR & A Watch Sagl offer complete, unique and 100% made in Switzerland.

Today, the Appella watch brand is being reborn. The watches of this brand can once again win the hearts of customers as Appella joins the family of esteemed watches under the leadership of the ADRIATICA PR & A Watch Sagl Group, whose watches are appreciated and sought after all over the world. Appella has a clear path to establish a relationship with customers based on trust. It is built on a long history, Swiss quality and outstanding presentation. Appella watches can be recognized by the unison of traditional style and diamond finish.

The diamond finish is the core of Appella brand. Diamonds are the metaphorical signature on the watch that confirms that the watch is on the wrist of an Appella person. Those jewels enhance the unique style and make it even grander, grander, simply perfect. Today, the Appella brand combines classic Swiss quality and modern design. Appella watches guarantee precision work for many years and a sophisticated look that will not go unnoticed.

The sapphire glass that protects the dial of each part ensures the longevity of Appella products. The exceptional scratch resistance and flawless transparency of the glass reveal the exceptional beauty of the watch. This charming look can be enhanced in a women’s collection, when the highest quality diamonds are embedded in the dial or case of the watch. Reaching for its rich history, and preserving the elegance of the design and the finesse of the pieces, Appella is a product that can raise and enhance the image of customers around the world.

Courrèges: French Brand That is Recognisable by the Combination of Futurism and 60’s Style…

My dear fashionistas, welcome to another autumn fashion story on the Mr.M blog. I hope you are well and ready for a new dose of fashion. Today I will introduce you to an unusual luxury French fashion brand, which has become recognizable in Europe and the world for its unusual combination of futurism and sixties style that I’m sure many of you have heard of – Courrèges.

Courrèges is a French fashion house that opened its doors back in 1961 and the founder of this brand is the revolutionary designer of his time, Mr. André Courrèges. For the first few years of its existence, Courrèges was known for well-tailored suits and dresses with geometric seams, clean lines, as well as the standard knee-length hems of the time. Courrèges trousers of superior fit also caught the attention of buyers of this time. Courrèges design and artistic direction was shaped by Balenciaga, with clothes that were well sculpted for women.

The best description of Courrèges clientele was a mature and conservative woman with a high disposable income. Starting in 1963, the brand became known for extremely simple, geometric, modern designs and a penchant for white, including the “little white dress” and trousers for women. They were often paired with flat boots that attracted particular attention and became known as Courrèges boots, which evolved into the popular Go-go boots. The brand reached its height of fame and influence with its 1964 and ’65 collections, and is best remembered for those collections.

Courrèges‘ spring 1964 collection continued to feature his signature boots, popularized trouser suits and brought a novelty – above-the-knee skirts premiered for the first time in Paris, the city of haute couture. The protective distinctive white color dominated the collection. He presented simple, slightly flowing dresses, well above the knee when paired with Courrèges signature boots. The previous season, the fall of 1963, almost all designers showed boots of different heights, but for the spring of ’64, Courrèges was the only brand to show boots in the new collection. Their signature slim fit and perfect proportions continued to win numerous accolades from the fashion press.

Low-heeled shoes are also shown. Courrèges pants garnered the most attention, starting the pantsuit trend that would change social norms throughout the decade. This season, Courrèges trousers remained slim, but were fitted at the hip, gathered at the front and cut across the hips to maintain a clean, unbroken line. They were paired with simple, well-tailored coats, jackets and geometric-looking tunics with prominent buttons, low-set martingales and pockets that would become one of Courrèges’ signature design details.

The brand showcased its daytime wear with large high-crowned, mostly brimless, space-age hats. Courrèges’ emphasis on trousers extended to the elegant collection, when he also included pieces with lots of bare skin with exposed backs and openwork lace. These clothes are presented in a traditional, dignified salon with classical music and floral scents of perfume.

The Courrèges Fall 1964 collection revolutionized the fashion industry with modern, futuristic designs that were unheard of at the time. The collection included tailored tunics and trousers that were paired with his version of mini skirts. The media of the time declared that this was a revolutionary new way of dressing, saying: “He paired his shorter skirts with white or colored leather boots that added a confident touch to the ensemble.” This look became one of the most important fashion events of the decade and was widely copied.” Fashion Courrèges influence was. so transformative that some fashion writers have compared it to Christian Dior’s 1947 New Look in importance in the fashion world.

Courrèges‘ favorite materials included plastics such as vinyl and stretchy fabrics such as Lycra. Although he preferred white and silver, he often used flashes of citrus, and the predominantly white designs in his August 1964 collection were tempered by touches of his signature clear pink, “luminous yellowish” green, various shades of brown from dark to pale, and the poppy is red in color. Not long after, in 1967, Mr. Courreges married Coqueline Barriere, his design assistant. They met while working together at Balenciaga, and worked together as a husband and wife team for the rest of his life.

The following year, Courrèges sold part of his company to L’Oreal to finance his expansion, which by 1972 included 125 boutiques worldwide. That year, Courrèges was commissioned to design the staff uniforms for that year’s Munich Olympics. Started creating menswear in 1973. He also developed fragrances such as Empreinte, Courrèges Homme, Eau de Courrèges, Courrèges Blue, Sweet Courrèges and Generation Courrèges. In creating clothes, he stayed true to the space-age styles he established in the 1960s, not changing his distinctive design features even as fashions changed in the 1970s.

In the late 1970s, Courrèges signed licensing deals for several clothing lines, from shoes to towels. In early 1983, Courrèges worked with the Japanese motor company Honda to design special editions of their TACT motor scooter. By this time, Coqueline Courrèges had succeeded her husband as artistic director of the brand, and Courrèges retired in 1995 following the successful comeback of the brand in 1994 despite several changes of ownership.

The following year, in 1984, Courrèges designed the Peugeot “Courrèges” bicycle, a limited edition model in two colors – pale blue and white with pink tints, and with matching baskets, chain guard, handlebar grips and mudguards, with Sturmei-Archer gears. Unfortunately, in 2011, Andre and Coqueline Courrèges sold the Courrèges brand for more than 10 million euros to two Young & Rubicam advertising managers, Jacques Bungert and Frédéric Torlotting.

Courrèges suffered from Parkinson’s disease for the last 30 years of his life. He died on January 7, 2016 at the age of 92 in Neuilli-sur-Seine, a populated place outside of Paris.

His death was reported in the popular media and many designers paid tribute to his revolutionary work in the fashion industry. He is still recognized as a designer with a special vision and sense of fashion that is not seen anymore.

In today’s post you have the opportunity to see two pieces from Courrèges new collection – a shirt and geometric wide leg pants. If you want to know more about the Courrèges brand, visit their official online shop and follow them on Facebook and Instagram.

OUTFIT

Shirt: Courrèges

Watch: Schaefer & Companions

Trousers: Courrèges

Sneakers: Loro Piana

We will continue today’s fashion adventure with new friends of the Mr.M blog, a new exclusive Swiss watch brand that I’m sure you’ll love at first sight! Schaefer & Companions (S&C) is a new luxury watch brand founded in 2024 in the Swiss cradle of watchmaking, Le Locle. The foundations of this brand are based on the philosophy of artistic freedom, as well as the fulfillment of human beings through liberating creative power and the purity of the craft gesture are just some of the main values cherished by the founders of this unusual brand.

Schaefer & Companions is a symbol of paying tribute to timeless poetry, creativity, that is why every Schaefer & Companions watch is a special masterpiece that has an unusual story. The essence of the brand is an artistic endeavor and a creative liberating form, an entire interconnected product landscape in the world that stands for creative craftsmanship, or as it is better known in French, “les metiers d’art”.

During the process of creating the first “Antarctica” collection, I had the great honor and pleasure of meeting the founder of this unusual luxury watch brand, Mr. Christophe Schaefer, who enthusiastically presented his ideas and drawings of the watch models he plans to create. This is not an ordinary collaboration but a new chapter that is part of my life’s journey and it is a wonderful feeling to be part of a project like Schaefer & Companions. I also have to make you happy that I am the first brand ambassador of this exceptional watch brand and that I will do my best to introduce you to some of the S&C brand watch models in the coming period through my fashion stories in which you are used to showing you various novelties.

Today we will learn a new term that I will often use during the presentation of this brand – companionSchafer & Companions is a lifetime journey in which Mr. Schaefer and his companions have invested all their passion, the beauty of life, as well as the hopes that passionate watch lovers will recognize the uniqueness and love of art.

The Schaefer & Companions team decided to “break the ice” by marking the launch of its first watch collection at Geneva Watch Days (GWD) 2024 called “Antarctica“, which brings to life two watch models: Solune Medallion and Solune Grand Art. The Antarctica collection, available in limited editions, encapsulates the frozen vastness, quiet isolation and resilience of Antarctica. In today’s post you have the opportunity to see one of the Solune Grand Art variation of models. They are windows into this vast, icy expanse and represent a subtle artisanal intuition. Enamel is a precious material used to make S&C dials where artists have the opportunity to express their skills.

What is Enamel? Enamel is a glass mixture made of silicon dioxide and various metal oxides added to create different shades. Before any color can be applied, the craftsman must create a good basis for further artistic work. The enamel is crushed, ground and purified, first in distilled water and then in nitric acid. Then the copper, silver or gold plate is cleaned and coated with a layer of white enamel on both sides. The end result is a perfectly clean “canvas” for painting without the fear that the copper will bend when exposed to extreme temperatures.

After the process of making an enamelled dial, we come to the most complex part of making an enamelled watch, and that is making the dial. Because the colors of the enamel react differently and change in the oven, the designer must know exactly in advance how the material will react in order to create a work of art that can be faithfully reproduced.

Once the dial is properly constructed with the coated dial plate, the painting process can begin! The artist prepares a palette of colors with the nuances needed to create a predetermined image. The image must be carefully applied in several layers and baked in an oven up to 800ºC between painting processes. First, harder, more elastic colors are applied that can withstand multiple cracking, while gentle shades are kept in the final stages. With just a small misjudgment, the dial can warp, burst, or explode. Since the colors react to the heat both individually and collectively, a small mistake in the order can lead to unwanted results and force the masters to start re-making the enamelled dial.

Owning a dial, that little enamel masterpiece in my personal collection is exceptional. Due to the cost and complexity associated with its creation, the vast majority of enameled works are in museums. The rarity of skilled craftsmen is another factor, as the craft almost became extinct in the early twentieth century.

Proof that miracles are possible is Mrs. Françoise Remmonay of the Donzé Cadran Atelier based in Le Locle and she is a member of the S&C team and she is in charge of enamelled medallions and dials. In today’s fashion story, you will have the opportunity to see the dial that she made – a model of a frozen ocean that offers a view of the coldest continent in the world – Antarctica.

The Solune Grand Art watch model that you have the opportunity to see in today’s post represents a captured moment of an eternally living landscape of frozen waves of a turbulent ocean. The dial enameling process of this watch model begins with the sculpting of fine sheets of silver that are shaped into a realistic wave structure that provides personality and depth. Several layers of rare and limited enamel derived from antique enamel ateliers were then applied to the silver relief. This composition of enamel relief combined with vibrant colors creates a unique watch with a strong and distinctive character.

IKKS: Natural and Authentic Style with Urban Casual Silhouettes…

My dear fashionistas, welcome to another autumn fashion story on the Mr.M blog. I hope you are well and ready for a new dose of fashion. Today I’m going to introduce you to an unusual French casual fashion brand, which I’m sure many of you have heard of – IKKS. IKKS is a French ready-to-wear brand founded in 1987 by Gérard Le Goff in La Seguiniere. The brand was part of the Kidiliz Group for several years before being sold to the White Knight LBO France fund in July 2015. It is one of the first French players in the ready-to-wear medium and high-end range with wide distribution.

How did the IKKS brand get its name? Gérard Le Goff originally wanted to call his mark “X”. As this name was transferred to clothing originally intended for children, the designer chose the name IKKS, which is actually pronounced “X”.

IKKS is undertaking a sincere process of transformation, a comprehensive transformation, which will be applied to every aspect of the company, retaining the strength anchored in their DNA and improving the weaknesses that are observed today. They engage in a resilience approach because IKKS Group management believes that everyone has their share of responsibility. Sometimes it is also difficult because you have to be able to make firm decisions even if their implementation is not easy. But it’s never too late to question yourself and try to do things right. One of their key initiatives is the decision to stop using one of the biggest scourges in the textile industry: virgin polyester.

A transformation has begun to achieve this ambitious goal by 2025. The IKKS teams are sure that it will be difficult, but they are also sure that this decision will have a big impact on their company and that they will have to make certain compromises, but they feel that it is their moral duty and responsibility to show everyone that it is possible. IKKS wants to change without leaving their DNA, without claiming to be something they really aren’t. Making choices means doing nothing more, and that’s something the IKKS team won’t hesitate to do in the coming months and years.

The responsibility of IKKS concerns the entire ecosystem which consists of: People, the core of their business. That is why IKKS works hand in hand with its partners, suppliers and employees. Traceability, a major issue today, to secure their processes and control their supply chains to guarantee product quality. Their materials are becoming more and more ethical. Their skills, expertise and their integrated operational excellence, especially through their partners. IKKS has obligations for the land, the sea and the environment as a whole, to do something sincere and lasting for the planet.

Their “IKKS works better” program is focused on five priorities: Reduce carbon emissions, Develop more ethical materials to reduce their impact on the environment; Guaranteeing social standards throughout the IKKS supply chain; all information about IKKS products is transparent and available to everyone and the reduction of plastic.

What sets IKKS apart from other brands on the market is the excellence of the unique skills that form the heart of the “IKKS works better” approach. Seamstresses, pattern makers, design office, style studio, quality control, CSR teams: IKKS has all the expertise in conceiving and designing the collections in-house in Saint-Macaire-en-Mauges and Paris. It’s local expertise, highlighted every day by a team of passionate people.

As quality goes with things that last, the IKKS teams are dedicated to the task of guaranteeing that customers around the world have desirable and durable products. A team of 22 people based in Saint-Macaire-en-Mauges is fully dedicated to prototyping IKKS models, developing more than 2,500 prototypes per year. This phase, which is very important in the creation of IKKS collections, guarantees the quality of the clothes and that they fit well.

My outfit today consists of 3 items from IKKS men’s collection: an IKKS jacket made of the finest suede leather, a polo shirt and classic drap trousers. All three pieces of clothing are great for fall days when you want to wear something in soft neutral colors and get noticed.

If you want to stay updated and find out what all the novelties IKKS has to offer us this fashion season, follow this French fashion house on Facebook and Instagram.

Today’s fashion adventure continues with new friends of the Mr.M blog, a young and innovative exclusive Swiss watch brand that I’m sure you’ll love at first sight! In one of the previous stories, I wrote more details about this brand, and I advise you to spare a few minutes and read the story at the following LINK.

DONE is proof that all dreams can become reality, if you really believe in yourself and constantly work on yourself. I believe that there are a large number of watch lovers who realize and understand how difficult it really is to start your own watch brand and that it is every watchmaker’s dream to create their own watch brand one day. In the past, it was almost an impossible mission, but with the emergence of platforms where you can present your project and request financial assistance to achieve your business goals, anything is possible.

Crowdfunding platforms have taken on a very special importance during the last couple of years, especially in the watch industry. While in the past an extremely large amount of capital was required, today there is an almost endless community of watch enthusiasts from all over the world who could help you make your dreams come true. The best thing about it: if watch enthusiasts like your project, many of them are willing to financially support the project before the official start of production even begins.

That’s exactly what Mr. Thierry Clottu managed to do, when he completed an impressive Kickstarter campaign in July 2016. When he successfully raised the financial means for making watches, he set about creating his own watchmaking brand, which he had been dreaming about for years.

Mr. Clottu started making his dreams come true in 2015, when he made the first sketches for his new project. As an experienced microtechnology engineer and after more than 10 years of product development experience for many well-known luxury watch brands, he decided to finally commit to his own long-awaited dream of his own watch brand.

By the way, the name “DONE Watches” has a double meaning: on the one hand, it represents the founder’s personal challenge to create a successful watch brand himself, that is, to actually do it. On the other hand, the name alludes to the region of the brand’s birth, located in Neuchâtel, Switzerland – Done in Neuchâtel.

Mr. Clottu has already successfully established three watch collections, which are called Classic, Skeleton and Automatic. The story of this unusual Swiss brand DONE watches began in 2016, with the “MECHANICA ME1A” from the Classic series, a sporty-elegant everyday watch with a small second at 9 o’clock and a beautifully decorated hand-wound caliber.

Automatic three-handers, on the other hand, are significantly more timeless, with only a classic date window at 3 o’clock and available in 40mm (men’s) and 36mm (women’s) diameters. For those who prefer something a little more extravagant on their wrist, Clottu has developed the elegant Skeleton models, which boast an open caliber and DLC coating.

In today’s fashion story, I have the great honor and pleasure to present you the newest model of the DONE watch MECHANICA B03 in a special limited edition of 50 pieces. After the great sales success of the MECHANICA B01 and MECHANICA B02 models, the DONE brand is pleased to present the MECHANICA B03 model at this year’s Time to Watches.

The MECHANICA B03 model uses the same aesthetic codes as its predecessors, but in shades
clearer and more concrete. Its silver movement brings a beautiful depth to this watch which then fully reveals its movement in complete transparency. The B03 proudly displays its case diameter of 43.8 mm with an overall thickness of 10.9 mm. Because it is extremely thin and light, trust me I forgot I had this watch on my wrist.

When I discovered this convenience, I realized that the high quality of the execution of its components stands out, both in terms of the level of construction of the case, as well as in the “in-house” manual-wound caliber itself. The founder’s main motto when creating this new DONE model was: “True beauty comes from within!”. Therefore, the new MECHANICA B03 model has the famous basic movement ETA 6497-1 due to its reliability and precision, in this model processed in a skeletonized cut of bridges and a modern design. This watch is the result of dedicated work where we obtained exceptional design results in order to harmonize the whole for a clean and timeless result.

Anyone who has followed my blog for a long time knows that I always try to pay special attention to details. So this time I decided to present to you again one of the pairs of shoes that I have had in my shoe closet for a long time.

Since the whole outfit was in a certain classic tone, I decided to take my favorite Dolce & Gabbana sneakers that I bought a few years ago, for the umpteenth time. I must admit that they completed this outfit in an unusual way. They may have spent some time in the closet, but in the end they got their five minutes! Of course, this shade of drape color fits perfectly with my pastel colors in the wardrobe.

My dear fashionistas, we have come to the end of another autumn fashion story, where together we discovered the beauty and brilliance of sporty timeless elegance of casual fashion with the famous French fashion house IKKS, the beauty of the new revolutionary and special Swiss watch brand DONE, partners with whom fashion stories a real adventure. Brioni: Men’s Fashion adorned with Famous Roman Elegance and Premium Quality…

My dear fashionistas, welcome to the first autumn fashion story on the Mr.M blog. I hope you are well and ready for a new dose of fashion. We start today’s fashion adventure with new friends of the Mr.M blog, a well-known exclusive prestigious Italian fashion brand that is among the most luxurious men’s fashion brands and represents top quality and exclusivity – Brioni.

Brioni is an Italian luxury menswear fashion house based in Rome specializing in ready-to-wear footwear, leather goods, shoes, eyewear, fragrances and Bespoke.

This luxury brand was founded in Rome in 1945, while a little later, in 1952, the brand organized the first menswear show in modern fashion history. The brand invented the MTM Trunk Show and Prêt Couture. Brioni opened the tailoring school Scuola di Alta Sartoria in Penne in 1985. Brioni was bought by the luxury group Kering in 2011, the new general director of the Brioni fashion house is Mehdi Benabadji since December 2019, and Norbert Stumpfl is the creative director since October 2018.

For any fashionistas unfamiliar with the term Trunk Show, it is an event where brands present merchandise directly to store staff or customers at a retail location or other location such as a hotel room. In many cases, it allows store staff to review and purchase merchandise before it is available to the public. Typically, customers view goods, place an order, and then wait for the seller to manufacture and deliver the goods. If the merchandise has a designer, the retailer can choose to have the designer present at the event to add to the customer experience. Prototypes, samples, scraps and scraps from runway shows are also sometimes offered at these types of fashion shows such as Trunk Shows. Stores may be open to the general public and advertised in the mass media, or they may be limited to special customers or those on an email list. The term Trunk Show is derived from the common practice of transporting merchandise to these events in crates.

To return to the story of the star of our today’s fashion story, it is interesting to note that the first Brioni store, which was a tailor’s boutique for men’s clothing, was founded by Nazareno Fonticoli and Gaetano Savini at Via Barberini 79 in Rome in 1945. How did this famous brand get its name? The brand name Brioni is a reference to the Croatian Brijuni Islands, a holiday destination for European jet setters.

Brioni was the first sartorial menswear brand to use bold colors and lighter materials, introducing new silhouettes using slimmer shapes with natural shoulders. This fashion story officially begins in 1952, when Brioni staged the first menswear fashion show in modern fashion history, inside the Sala Bianca at Palazzo Pitti in Florence, where the revolutionary Peacock Revolution was presented. Brioni also designed the Trunk Show, during which collections are presented directly in stores, allowing customers to personalize garments with the Su Misura (made to measure) service.

Brioni promoted the “total look”, the production of suits, hats, ties, shirts and shoes. A little later, in 1959, a production plant was opened in Penne, Abruzzo, Mr. Nazareno Fonticoli’s hometown. Named Brioni Roman Style, the state-of-the-art factory introduced the concept of Pret Couture or ready-to-wear haute couture that sealed the international rise of the brand.

During the 1950s, Brioni organized fashion shows in 9 American cities that launched the brand’s distribution in the US. Brioni has attracted the interest of celebrities, heads of state and business leaders. In the 1950s, American film stars such as Clark Gable, John Wayne and Cary Grant wore Brioni suits in Hollywood, giving the brand international exposure.

In 1985, the Brioni fashion house opened a tailoring school in Penne with the aim of passing on the specific Brioni sartorial method to younger generations. That same year, Brioni opened a store in New York’s Fisher Building on 52nd Street. A few years later, in 1990, Umberto Angeloni was appointed CEO of Brioni. He started the company in diversifying its product lines, from sportswear to women’s wear (Lady Brioni) and accessories. Between 1995 and 2001, the company’s revenue tripled to $150 million. In 2007, Brioni partnered with the Royal College of Art in London to train master tailors through a three-year program, but this partnership ended in 2019 after 12 long years.

In 2006, Brioni decided to change the way of managing the company’s strategy, so in 2006 the rule of three joint executive directors was introduced: Antonella de Simone, Andrea Perone and Antonio Bianchini. In June 2007, Angeloni and his wife sold their 17% stake in the company. In 2009, Brioni was hit by the economic crisis, but refused to move its production outside Italy. Instead, the brand released new product categories with new fabrics and introduced men’s perfumes, the brand’s first foray into the world of perfume since the release of Good Luck in 1958. Mr. Andrea Perrone took over as CEO and appointed Mr. Alessandro Dell’Accu as Creative Director of Womenswear in May 2010, but the brand discontinued its women’s line the following year.

In today’s fashion story, my outfit is made up of 3 pieces of clothing from the new Brioni collection for Autumn – Winter 2024/25. A lightweight suede leather jacket, trousers made from a special combination of Vicuña cashmere and silk, as well as a fantastic T-shirt that is ideal for this transitional period between summer and autumn when we need something to wear under jackets.

A leather jacket that is made of the finest suede leather in a soft brown – tobacco color is something that every man definitely needs in every fashion season, but I must say that this tobacco color is the biggest fashion trend of this season and I must admit that this a color that looks good on everyone and refreshes the personality. On the other hand, trousers in the same color, which are made of the finest vicuña (Vicuña) cashmere and silk. Because of this unusual combination, these pants crease more easily, but the quality is on a whole other level that I have rarely seen before in all these years that I have spent in the world of exclusive fashion.

You must be wondering what kind of cashmere is Vicuña cashmere? The rarest and finest of all natural fibers, Vicuña is easily recognizable to the trained eye by its rich, golden tobacco-brown natural color and incredibly soft touch. Also known as the gold of the Andes, it was reserved for royalty in Inca times. The vicuna, a camilian cousin of the alpaca, is a small and graceful animal that roams wild in the Andes mountains at altitudes between 3,200 and 4,800 meters. Natural vicuna fibers are considered the rarest in the world due to strict conservation restrictions in the shearing process.

Vicuña wool is the finest and rarest natural fiber in the world. A strand of wool measures approximately 12 microns, which is 12 thousandths of a millimeter. It is about 7 microns finer than the finest cashmere. A single vicuña produces only about half a kilogram of wool per year, and the fibers are so fragile that they cannot be dyed or treated with chemicals commonly used in the textile industry.

Of course, I didn’t forget this ideal t-shirt which is really a fashion piece that is indispensable during this transition period when we need something light to wear under the jacket during these temperature variations in this transition period.

If you want to stay up to date and find out what all the novelties Brioni has to offer for us this fashion season, follow this an iconic Italian fashion house on Facebook and Instagram.
