My dear fashionistas, welcome to my first Fall fashion story on the Mr. M & Mrs. Mom blog pages this season. I sincerely hope that this season I will justify your trust and that I will be able to inspire women in their prime to change the way they look at life and introduce novelty into their everyday life through my vision of fashion. Today I will do my best to present you some new autumn fashion novelties that have arrived in my wardrobe, with which we will open the Fall – Winter season on the Mr. M & Mrs. Mom blog.

This unexpected hobby of mine and writing fashion stories became interesting to me because I noticed that people found my stories interesting and inspiring. Honestly, I did not expect my writing of fashion stories to experience such success and I am immensely grateful for your wonderful messages, as well as your selfless support.

When I start something, I always think carefully whether to accept something because every challenge is a responsibility, and so is my writing of fashion stories. I was skeptical at the beginning of this year because of all bad things after cosmetic surgery had happened, whether I would even be ready to embark on the adventure of writing spring and summer stories, but at the persuasion of my family, friends and my psychotherapist, it turned out that this type of work was healing for me and that I somehow managed to prove to myself with this challenge that I can push the boundaries regardless of the difficulties that may arise during the process. Everything in life requires self-confidence, courage and self-love so that a person can achieve higher goals. This autumn I am more prepared and slowly getting used to the new situation in my life.

I believe many of you have heard about MYTHERESA shopping e-commerce on Mr. M & Mrs. Mom blog, but I would like to introduce you to this online fashion paradise. The novelty they presented this year is the launch of certified second-hand watches from over 25 luxury brands, such as Audemars Piguet and Cartier, in cooperation with the Swiss jewelry and watch company Bucherer. As a global retailer, Mytheresa operates in 8 languages: English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese and Korean.

We start today’s fashion story with old friends Mr. M&Mrs. Mom of the blog – Max Mara. Max Mara is a world famous Italian fashion brand. It was founded in 1951 in Reggio Emilia by Mr. Achille Maramotti. This legendary brand sponsors and awards the Max Mara Women’s Art Award. Achille Maramotti started creating wardrobes in 1947, and officially founded the Max Mara fashion house in 1951. How did the brand name come about?

The second word of the brand – “Mara” was derived from Mr. Maramotti surname, while “Max” referred to Count Max, a local legend, who was rarely sober, but always so classy and stylish! The company is still in the hands of the family and is one of the best family fashion businesses in the world.

The Max Mara group has 35 brands in its fashion empire, of which the Max Mara brand remains the heart of the company to this day. Other brands include Sportmax, Sportmax Code, Weekend Max Mara, Marella, Pennyblack, iBlues, MAX&Co. and Marina Rinaldi. An interesting information is that Marina Rinaldi is a brand founded in 1980 and named after the greatmother of Mr. Maramotti.

Max Mara is my favorite brand because it absolutely meets my criteria when it comes to wardrobe, which are: quality, interesting models and cuts, good selection of materials, as well as fine processing of them. I’m sure you’ve all seen by now how much I love cashmere, so this Ludmilla coat is my new fashion love that I’m sure I’ll wear for a long, long time. This coat is made from the finest pure tobacco cashmere, hand stitched in Italy with two layers of soft cashmere.

Made of hand-stitched pure double cashmere, the Ludmilla coat shines like satin. Its shine is the result of a carding process that releases impurities from the fabric, making it flawless to the touch and visually. Finishing the coat with a custom binding that makes it unique, it epitomizes a relaxed attitude and attention to detail. This coat is made for true connoisseurs, when one hears the call for special luxury or the art of choosing the best without boasting, the instinctive answer is Ludmilla.

A timeless piece from the Max Mara collection, the Ludmilla coat epitomizes laid-back appeal that doesn’t sacrifice luxurious fabrics and impeccable attention to detail. Reinterpreted in 2016 and reintroduced in all collections since then, it is one of the iconic pieces of Max Mara style. In addition to the excellent material processing, the model of this coat itself is modern and unusual. I would like to write a small note for all interested ladies who want to own a Ludmilla coat. This coat is significantly oversized and I chose an Italian size 36, but it’s a little big on me and I think I should have taken an IT34 size, since I lost a lot of weight and I weigh significantly less, so I wasn’t sure which coat size would suit me, that’s why I took the IT36 size, and my son urged me to take the IT34 number, honestly right now I feel a lot of guilt for not listening to him.

Everyone who follows my fashion stories knows that I am a big fan of quality and interesting jewelry, I always try to pay maximum attention to fashion details such as jewelry. Today we are hanging out with a well-known French house whose creations I adore and I was happy to wear their clothes and shoes, and now I have the opportunity to wear their jewelry – SAINT LAURENT.

The necklace and earrings are a true masterpiece of this famous French fashion house and have a very attractive design that is very elegant and refined. I love the amber stone in the necklace, which went perfectly with the tobacco-colored Max Mara coat.

The pictures for today’s fashion story were created in the very heart of Havana, in the main square, where I tried to convey the energy of this distant exotic country with bright colors. Today’s fashion story will be dedicated to timeless fashion detail – stripes, a print that has returned to the big doors of this fashion season, as evidenced by the new collections of all famous well-known fashion houses that have decorated some of their clothes, accessories and footwear with iconic detail – stripes.

What’s the behind story about the stripes? Over time, this print has become a symbol of classic and elegant style, simple and somewhat conservative, but the history of this fashion print in clothing is more than unconventional, sometimes it could be found on the “other side of the law”.

Striped design is one of the first characteristic examples of textile processing in the history of fashion, which has survived various eras and survived to this day. Perhaps today stripes are a feature of perfect classical style, balanced and somewhat liberal, the history of this fashion print is more than avant-garde, and often the print that could be found on uniforms worn by people on the other side of the law. Today’s story is a continuation of Tod’s stories and I will do my best to show you some interesting fashion details that have become dear to me in a very short time. Previous Tod’s stories have proven that this Italian brand is one of the few brands on the fashion scene that has remained consistent with its roots and generations. I have to admit that this fashion piece also surprised me a lot because so far I haven’t really worn a leather overshirt, which can also be worn as a light jacket that can be very practical. When I opened the package and saw the sleeve of this shirt, I was convinced that it was a nice leather jacket, but I was pleasantly surprised.

The intervention plan for the reconstruction of the Colosseum is a project commissioned by the delegate commissioner for archeological sites of Rome and Ostia Antica, in cooperation with the Special Group for the Protection of the Colosseum and the Archaeological Area of Rome, and implemented thanks to the selfless support of Tod’s group.

The first phase of works was completed and included the renovation of the northern and southern facades, with an area of about 13,300 square meters, and the replacement of the arch closing system with the construction of new gates.

The renovation plan will continue with the renovation of the Colosseum basement, standardization and implementation of the system and the construction of a service center that allows additional activities to support visitors to this cultural monument.

The second phase of work, which began in December 2018, under the leadership of the new autonomous institute Parco Archeologico del Colosseo, included the hypogea area, a “monument within a monument” a kind of amphitheater located below the arena and in ancient times invisible to spectators . More than 80 people took part in the restoration work, including archaeologists, restorers, architects, engineers and other experts.

Summer is an ideal period for fashion experiments, especially when the real art is to dress nicely, without consequences in the form of sweat stains that destroy every good will of a person to dress nicely. Today I will try to show you true Italian elegance and refined style with the help of the fashion house Tod’s.

Tod’s S.p.A. is a company specializing in the production of footwear, clothing and accessories with its brands Tod’s, Hogan, Fay and Roger Vivier. This fashion story is the about the work and effort of the Della Valle family.

This fashion journey began in the early twentieth century when Filippo Della Valle, a shoemaker with exceptional ideas and visions, made shoes in his kitchen at home. After some time and effort and work, Mr. Della Valle opens his shoe atelier.

In the late 1960s, his son Dorino, with the help of his wife, founded the first craft factory in Sant’Elpidio a Mare. The whole concept developed with the sale of women’s shoes in Germany and in department stores across USA.

In the 1970s, Dorina’s son Diego joined the company. Despite his great love for the United States, Diego returns to Italy with the idea of ​​creating an innovative product with a brand name. In the early eighties, he got his chance and became the director of a family company, opening an office in Milan in 1980, creating a brand for women’s shoes “Diego Della Valle”, managing to convince some fashion designers of that time to wear them for free at fashion shows.

Tod’s produced the first moccasins with rubber pads and soles that initially took shape, like small rubber pins, and were designed for car drivers, primarily to make driving more comfortable and provide additional comfort to drivers.

The apostrophe – ‘, which has been present since the beginning of Tod’s era, was chosen with intent because of the advantage of simple pronunciation in all the languages of the world. In the early 1980s, Diego and his brother Andrea launched Tod’s brand and the first moccasins with a distinctive rubber sole composed of 133 small rubber pins, a long process that requires about 100 processing steps, many of which are done by hand.

Belgrade Diaries: The Avala mountain, a Faithful Guardian of Serbian History…

My dear travellers and fashionistas, how are you today? I sincerely hope that you are well and that you have been able to find some kind of fun during this situation called COVID-19 (Coronavirus). I am not going to give you any advice on how to spend your time during this ongoing alarming worldwide situation, I just want to ask you how much you can abide by the regulations currently in force during this state of emergency.

This is a time we need to spend with family and stay in touch with friends and the outside world via telephone and other online forms of communication which we successfully use nowadays.

In my previous posts, I did my best to find that it was primarily because of people who wanted to learn more about the sights of Belgrade, such as the Gardos Tower that forms the heart of Zemun on the banks of Danube and Topcider Park, which remained known as Prince Milos Obrenovic’s favorite green oasis. Today I wanted to introduce to you the most famous Belgrade “mountain”.

Avala is a hill located in the southeastern part of Belgrade, and just over 16 kilometers from the heart of the city, you have the opportunity to enjoy exceptional views of Belgrade, Vojvodina and Sumadija. Belgrade’s most famous “mountain” is 511 meters high.

In the Middle Ages, the town of Zrnov was located at the very top of Avala. In the 15th century, Zrnov was conquered and under siege by the Ottoman Empire, which built a brand new city and renamed it “Havale,” a word that comes from the Arabic language and means an obstacle.

Avala has been on the list of protected government properties since 1859 as a natural monument and a site of exceptional cultural and historical importance of Belgrade. It was not until 2007 that Avala entered the circle of protected green spaces of the city of Belgrade.

The mountain was declared a national park in 1936. A few years later, Avala was granted the status of public good of general interest and the administration was assigned to the Government of the Republic of Serbia. In the mid-1960s, more precisely 1965, the 202-meter-high Avala Tower was built, one of the tallest buildings in the Balkans. The tower was unfortunately destroyed in the 1999 NATO bombing of Serbia.

Fortunately, with the Government’s decision, the reconstruction began in 2006 and the officially new Avala Tower was opened to the public on April 21, 2010. The new tower is the best replica of the destroyed one, and once again Avala has been given the opportunity to confirm its title of Belgrade’s most famous picnic and relaxation area.

On the Avala, you can also find the Monument to the Unknown Hero, the Monument to the Soviet War Veterans, the Memorial Park, the Monument to Vaso Carapic.

The beautiful forest, the restored tower and the Monument to the Unknown Hero are indisputably symbols of present-day Avala, however, older generations know that the well-preserved fortress of the medieval town of Žrnovo once stood on the foundations of the Monument to the Unknown Hero.

At the request and order of the king, the remains of the fort were destroyed by dynamite with the desire to erect a new Monument to the Unknown Hero on the remains. There has been public debate as to why King made such a decision, but no real conclusion was reached. I would like to share with you the fact that at the time, not far from the new one, there was already a Monument to the Unknown Hero, but it was also demolished. Only the cross left in the church in Beli Potok remains today.

A new monument to an unknown hero at the top of Belgrade’s Avala Mountain symbolizes the great plight of a country. Have you ever wondered who is the Unknown Hero resting on Avala?

It’s one boy whose childhood was violently interrupted in 1915 when he was hit by a grenade. Sculptor Ivan Mestrovic wanted to display a symbol of five centuries of slavery under the Turks with sculptures marking the different nationalities of the former republics in Yugoslavia…

On the other hand, many believe that the monument to the Unknown Hero was used not to give official meaning to the mysterious hero, but to display Serbian history with jeweled numerous Masonic symbols. Many today believe that King Alexander and Ivan Mestrovic were Freemasons.

Whether the Monument to the Unknown Hero is in fact, a grand Masonic symbol built for reasons unknown to us, or as many believe, is just one confirmation of the adherence to the idea of unification, by which King Aleksandar Karadjordjevic tried to prove his loyalty to the Yugoslavs… This is a secret we may succeed to find out, but one thing is inevitable Avala is a symbol of Belgrade that we can be proud of.

I will say that I made good use of one day and had the opportunity to learn more about Avala. As in past posts after a “walk” through history, I have to tell you something about my outfit.

I don’t know if you’ve heard of the WELLENSTEYN brand, but it’s one of the more famous luxury German fashion brands. You may have been wearing it for years, but do you know the story behind this brand?

The history of the Wellensteyn brand began, sometime around the 1960s in Germany, but today this brand can be seen in stores across the United States and North America.

Then, sixty years ago, Adolf Wuttke was a manufacturer of mechanical instruments used to plunge into the depths of the North Sea. He always tried to be close with his customers, in the right way to find out what they wanted. Of course, he was always a welcome guest at the docks and shipyards that used his instruments every day.

After a while he noticed the need for adequate work clothes that would not only be part of the work uniform, but also possess a certain elegance. He did not want to create any kind of clothing, his vision was to produce the best jackets for men. That’s exactly what he did!

He created a straight line of stylish jackets and coats that were unique because they were made of special waxed materials that will withstand wind and rain, while keeping every worker at the dock safe from all natural disasters.

Hi everyone, how are you today? Finally this nice and warm weather has visited Europe and my dear Serbia. You can feel some cold is the air, but when there are sun rays then it is a bit easier to be outside. I sincerely hope that this nice time has made a smile on your face and that you took advantage of some interesting outdoor activities. Today you will read about the importance of positive energy and how to prepare for the new Fall season.

I hope that you are not like me and that at least you managed to prepare your wardrobe for the new season. Autumn has arrived and you have to pack summer clothes and you will bring out some of your favorite autumn pieces.

Okay, I have to stop here with practical daily tips, but I promise you I will write a new post how to properly put off the old wardrobe. Many of you have asked me about this via e-mail and social media because after a while some unwanted guests – moths. I’ll pay attention to this topic this month, I promise!

The photos for this post were made quite unexpectedly at the end of September, but I decided to publish it as my first post in October and to finish this season. No more short sleeves for this year, we have to wait May next year and then we will enjoy again in the magic of short sleeves.

I remember that these pictures were made on September 19, Wednesday, because it was a busy day of that week because of the duties which I had to do. Since I always carry a backpack and a computer with me because I want to use my breaks in the best possible way. Sometimes it happens that I am very productive and that time simply inspire me to “work” much better and I write the text for a new post.

That day I had 3 important meetings and certain little “holes” in the time that I can use for relaxation – writing new posts. I wrote a couple of PR articles that I had to send to my clients and I thought it was done for today, however … Before I decided to finish my chocolate delight, I wanted to check my e-mailbox for the last time before I leave the pastry shop. New notification – You have 1 new message, I thought again that some brand is sending me a new reminder about their new collection and I want to “eat” myself because I do not have enough money to buy everything I see there…

I’ve been wrong! The title was: “Mr.M, are you ready for the new Fashion Festival?”, I saw it well on the e-mail header that it was an outlet from the McArthurGlen group of outlets located near Venice. Then it occurred to me that I was certainly in some of their customers email base, because I certainly left my email when I bought something there when I was living in Italy during my university days.

Since I had time to open a message and I read text. At the end I saw an invitation, a plane ticket and a hotel voucher. I still do not believe… Few times I read the text and then I realize that I was chosen to be the ambassador of the Festival of Shopping in Noventa Di Piave outlet this year. I have to admit that it is a great honor and I was pleased to accept the invitation and I confirmed my arrival. 

Almost 2 minutes later, I took the phone and I invited my photographer just to share this wonderful news. On the other side of the line I’ve got a question: “Where are you? Do you want to take some pictures for the blog today?! ” In about ten minutes, my photographer came and all photos for this post were done very quickly, because I realized that in less than half an hour I have a meeting that can change a lot of things in my blogging life.

The pictures turned out amazing at the end, my indescribable joy and happiness can be seen on almost all of the pictures on the blog, but this day was very special to me. It was an exciting day in September, which I will remember for a long time. Meetings have passed, new collaborations have been arranged and little Marko will spend this winter in some new adventures in Europe and we will explore together new cities and Mr.M blog will have some new stories to share with you this winter…

Sometimes it takes only a bit of trust in yourself, your work and effort to make everything to be realized according to a plan. The faith, the hope, and the power of positive thinking will do their part, but the cards that destiny prepares for us will put us on a test of perseverance. 

You should always believe in yourself and what you are doing, because if there is no any kind of faith, everything is without any significance. However your idea sounds unbelievable and crazy at first, it’s your idea and my advice to you is to be persistent till end. If you do not try, you will never know. Be the writer of your book which we usually call LIFE and do not chase to be included in someone else’s life.

If you do not want to help someone, that does not mean that you are not a good person, but simply if you don’t want it, everything is for people except when we talking about destroying someone’s life. Live your life and let others live, help if you can, do not try to cheat on somebody because the life is karma and everything returns in the end…

 

My dear fashionistas once again we have come to the end of this special fashion post from my beloved Belgrade. Time just flies so fast when you are having a good time! Don’t worry in a couple of days I will publish a new post where we will continue together to enjoy the charms of traveling and we will explore one of the shopping spots in Italy. I just can’t wait to show you what my friends from McArthurGlen Noventa Di Piave Designer Outlet and I have prepared for you guys.

Hi everyone, how are you today? Are you ready for a new story from Morocco? Today, I will present you the second city I visited in this beautiful country. Welcome to Essaouira! Essaouira is one interesting and lovely fishing town. Due to climatic conditions, he received a nice nickname “City of the Winds”. There is a very interesting festival that is organized every year in autumn and is dedicated to all kites lovers. This time I did not have the opportunity to feel that adrenaline, but I enjoyed the beautiful pictures shown by our guides from the Tourist Office of Essaouira. 


I learned a few more interesting things about this unusual city. Did you know that this city was previously called by the Portuguese name Mogador, which in the Berber language means the Wall, because the Portuguese Mogador was strongly fortified. Just because of these walls, Essaouira has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List in Africa since 2001 year. 


At the beginning of this post, I would like to thank my friends from the Moroccan National Tourist Office on this wonderful trip and the adventure I will remember!








Our trip from Marrakech to this seaside city was very interesting for me… I’ll just say “The Goat’s Trees” in the next post you will have the opportunity to see how it really looks. It’s really fascinating when you see the Atlantic Ocean suddenly after the sand and the desert. Landscape which you just want to keep for yourself and to memorise for the whole lifetime! 


Saul and I were a little tired because of the trip, but it took us twenty minutes to “reset” everything and get ready for a new adventure. When I saw that morning sun, I just had to change my outfit, I knew that I would surely make new photos for a fashion outfit post.








The facades of the buildings are in blue classic coastal shades and I have met a lot of four-legged friends and a huge fish lovers – the cats. Cats enjoy great privilege in this place. The inhabitants of this city simply adore animals, and even every street seller has his own cat that makes him a company, even at high temperatures. These are the real friendships!








I successfully managed to match my outfit with the coastal spirit of this Moroccan city. As you can see, I even walked around a market that was closed because we had come too early and started with our activities. Smile is the best way to start a new day! ?








Essaouira is an unusual city, the streets are similar, and I had the feeling that I was spinning in the circle until I again used my ability to navigate in space, and with the small help of cats that made company to their owners, street vendors on the street. So, again I managed to enjoy the streets of this unusual city.








The man, which you have opportunity to see beside me was our guide for that day in Essaouira, he was born here, and he even showed us the street in which he was born and told a short story in his childhood and how it looks like growing up in Essaouira. A very interesting story, a little unusual for us from Europe, but very instructive and educational with emotions. Since that day, it was a decisive game for Argentina to represent on the World Cup, so they thought our guide was cheering for Argentina. Moroccans are otherwise very communicative and cheerful people. They always will spend a few minutes talking to you on the street (if you know French or if you find a person who knows English).








This is the street where our guide grew up, he showed me where the special rooms were where their mothers and grandmothers prepared the bread after they had no kitchen in their small apartments. They had special space where they made and baked bread, and special laundry rooms. Everybody had their own day reserved, and each family from the neighbourhood always respected that. Together in one neighborhood lived Jewish and Muslim families and their religion did not bother them to have good relations and good friendships.








After we finished with our city tour, we were able to visit the surrounding vineyards. It was very interesting and little Marko finally learned a little about wine. If the smile is going on the wrong side, please forgive me a glass of wine has fallen, and I’m not used to drink! ? I used the opportunity and take some photos of my details from this outfit in this beautiful vineyard.








I have to admit that I enjoyed and I would like to thank VAL D’ARGAN Winery for hospitality and I have learned a lot of new and useful things about wine production, which I will share with you in the next post. Believe me you will be surprised!

Hello guys! How are you today? The weekend is behind us, I sincerely hope that you have used this pleasant sunny time and that you have filled your “batteries” for a new working week. Summer is a period when a person wants to try something new, just to get a little out of his usual life rhythm. So I decided and finally to face a fashionable style that I “tried” to avoid, but it’s obvious that a person can not get away from the “trainer” sportive style.


 




 


The first thing I promised myself is that it will not be a black, gray or dark jogger trousers (track suit), because those are the everyday colors to which I am faithful and I will take the most colorful colour which I find in that moment. As soon as I entered the store, I saw this bright red trousers and simply picked up without thinking from the sales table.


I tried not to try at all at all, because I feel if I saw all my defects in the mirror I would rather leave it and find some classic trousers or jeans that were maybe better for me. This first part was ended, I had an idea in my mind how I would combine it and went straight to home to do it because I did not have much time to do the shooting because I was supposed to go on the trip.


As soon as I entered the house, my mother were doing her ordinary everyday duties like cooking… I used the opportunity and quickly said, “I bought a red jogging trousers!” Mom just stopped with her work, the feeling was the same like in the Indian series when actors look at each other for few moments. “What did you buy?!” – Red trainer! (I screamed from another room). She left the kitchen and asked me to show her. “Man, do they have this in my size?!” She was absolutely speaking delighted with the trainer. Finally, she finished with the preparation of the lunch and the action now was able to start.


 




 


We went out then we forgot that we don’t have any idea where we can make good photos for this post. Sitting on some bench in the neighbourhood sometimes could be very interesting. 🙂 We were almost spent few minutes thinking where we could make some amazing pictures for this post… My mom was trying to help me with some associations like graffiti, garages, but we could not remember where we could find some place like that at that moment. On all these problems, Mom realized that something was missing out on my outfit…


She remembered! THE BACKPACK! Where can I find an interesting backpack?! We remembered one of ours family friends who is crazy about fashion accessories, fortunately he is living in the neighbourhood so we headed to his house. Maybe we were looked like some “fashion” maniacs, but it was urgent! ? Luckily he was at home and after about ten minutes I pulled out this red bag from a dust bag. He didn’t even want to hear, that I am going to take this bag out because that’s his favorite backpack in his wardrobe, but we used some charm and we promised that we will return it in one piece in 15 minutes maximum!


 




 


Then my mom remembered where we could make good photos, we just run into first tram which we saw. She explained to me that the building where we used to live might be the perfect spot for shooting. Come on, I don’t even have any idea on my mind, however, I followed the famous sentence “mothers know the best!”, so I listened her advice. Now, I think that was a perfect idea! We made interesting pictures. Yeah, I must admit that we stayed little longer than 15 minutes, our friend was little angry, but we bought him a nice chocolate so everything was good! Thanks God!
