My dear fashionistas, I hope you are ready for a new fashion adventure. Winter is the most interesting fashion period when we all tend to experiment a lot and play with fashion. A cashmere coat is the best investment with which you can always create a large number of outfit combinations without much thought. My story today will be dedicated to my most favorite British fashion house that you had the opportunity to see years ago on the Mr.M blog – Burberry.

All the people who have been following my blog for years know that I have a great love for Burberry trench-coats and coats, honestly I don’t even know how many of their fashion pieces I own anymore, but I know that this is my favorite trench and the color that I always like to wear – the color of honey. Soft pastel golden camel color that blends very easily with other colors.

Burberry trenchcoats and coats represent the pinnacle of world fashion and have become indispensable fashion classics today. These coats were created by the founder of the Burberry company, Thomas Burberry, more than 100 years ago, inspired by the British heritage, and at the same time introduced elements of urban fashion.

You can find all classic Burberry coats in 5 basic models: Legendary Kensington, Westminster, Chelsea, Waterloo and Pimlico. All models are named after London districts. What is the difference between these models?

The Kensington – a classic model with a modern cut that easily adapts to any silhouette. The most popular model, which is available in four basic colors: gray, navy, honey color (camel) and black. Also, this model is made in two lengths. The coat you see on me today is this model.

The Westminster – a model that is extended (oversized) and lightly cut for a draped silhouette. Basic colors: honey color (camel) and dark green (khaki). Also, this model is made in two lengths.

The Chelsea – a model characterized by a slim fit (narrow form close to the body) with narrow shoulders and a cut waist. The basic colors are honey and taupe and it is also available in two lengths.

The Waterloo – A more comfortable fit, a longer model than the classic with a subtle and relaxed fit that is ideal for layering. This model is usually made in three basic colors: maroon, black and honey-camel and is available in only one length.

The Pimlico, a simple flat cut decorated with a single-row fastening of a minimalistic character and a modern cut. This model is usually made in navy, biscuit (biscuit color) and honey color – camel. This model is also only available in one classic length.

I would like to note that all the listed colors are only classics that are always produced, but the Burberry company introduces seasonal colors to enrich its offer.

Most Burberry coats have been hand-crafted in Castleford, Yorkshire for over 50 years from gabardine – a revolutionary fabric that Thomas Burberry proudly introduced in 1879. Polished, light and practical, beautiful cotton resistant to all kinds of weather conditions that remains at the heart of the Burberry brand to this day.

The classic coat model originated and developed from the basic form of the Tielocken coat, which was patented in 1912 by Thomas Burberry. A simple but refined unique shape that has been adapted over the years and has become a recognizable Burberry coat.

Each Burberry coat is special and has its own story – one that is made to last and write new pages of life’s chapters together with you. Buying a Burberry trench or coat is an investment, it is a fashion piece that can really be worn nicely and for a long time with proper maintenance and it is a thing you can leave for generations to come. I inherited my first Burberry coat from my grandfather and today I keep it carefully and wear it on special occasions because it has a special sentimental value for me.

When the time comes to buy a Burberry trench, it’s a big deal and especially if you are buying a coat for the first time it is very important to buy a “iconic” piece that you can combine with your items from your wardrobe and it is best to buy a coat in your favorite color, without blindly following trends.

To the readers of the Mr.M blog, I have become a recognizable symbol of autumn and winter precisely because of the Burberry trench coats and coats and I have received numerous questions about the advice for smart purchase of a Burberry coat. I have tried to highlight important questions and provide you with adequate answers that can help you during your purchase. All answers represent my personal opinion and certain observations, so don’t generalize things, take this as buying advice.

Is the length of the coat crucial when making a purchase decision? Of course! I always try to advise people to buy iconic items in classic cuts and lengths and not to blindly follow trends. Trends are changing, one season there are modern coats of casual cuts with puff sleeves quite long length to the ground, after two months or a year later another trend comes. My most honest advice is to buy a coat of length that suits your body constitution in proportion to your own height. Burberry trench coats exist in several lengths and I am sure you can always find the ideal coat for yourself.

Once again, is it worth investing money in a honey trench coat? If you are a fan of camel color and have a lot of things in pastel or neutral colors, then I think you know the right answer. If you feel some kind of insecurity while trying on a camel coat and reconsider your decision several times, I think it’s best to try another color. When you buy an expensive item like a Burberry coat it is something that must be accompanied by a feeling of fulfillment and security.

The trench coat or a coat are pieces that are worn over other pieces of clothing, so it is best to look at your favorite pieces of clothing and shoes before buying and judge for yourself which are the two or three colors that might come into consideration when buying a coat. Camel color is a neutral color and blends with other colors with great ease, but each of us knows our wardrobe best and you may find the ideal solution since buying a Burberry coat is a real investment.

I completed today’s outfit with a Brunello Cucinelli down jacket with fur trim that may be black and at first sight you think that black is not interesting, but the materials which were used for this incredible “piumino” (Italian word for down jacket) will do everything to change your mind.

The unusual combination of material and natural fur on the collar makes this jacket the perfect piece for cold winter days. With this jacket, you will forget whether you went out for just a walk or went to work, because the secret discreet views of passers-by will give the impression that you are on the runway.

During the shooting of this outfit look, a lot of people asked me about the jacket and the turtleneck, they were standing out pieces of this outfit.

Of course, as a big fan of backpacks, this year I put this exceptional piece of the famous French fashion house Louis Vuitton on my wish list and my sister decided to be my Santa Claus this year and give me this beautiful backpack that I am sure I will wear for a long time. I promise that I will do my best to fit it as well as possible with my outfits.

The iconic LV Monogram print and the new model are a great combination which was the right decision during the creation of the new collection of this prestigious French fashion house.

The jeans also came from Italy, a gift from my dear friends from the fashion house MooRER, with whom we will meet again this winter fashion season as well. Simply, some good habits do not need to be changed!

Dear my fashionistas, welcome to the new fashion story at your favorite place – Mr.M. We are slowly but surely counting down the last days of winter, hoping that spring will bring us some new joys. At this time last year, the world found itself in some absolutely unknown situation when we first heard about the Coronavirus and we could only sit in front of our TV screens and hope to overcome this catastrophe that hit the whole world.

Last year we could only imagine going outside at least for a moment and walking down our favorite street, this year at least we got some new hope that life would soon return to normal with the discovery of vaccines.

This year, I decided to say goodbye to winter with details of bright colors. I believe that red is a favorite color of most people because it is a color that signifies joy and happiness. Scientists believe that colors significantly affect mood swings and can affect people’s mental health.

Some research has shown that the color red evokes strong emotions and encourages an individual to make some new changes in life. I noticed that this is really a true fact, because whenever I decided to change my life habits or make new decisions, the color red was unconsciously a silent observer to my eye and every time I brought some details of the color red into my life.

When I applied for jobs in Germany a couple of years ago, I honestly had no hope that anything would change in my life. Every day, a large number of e-replies were I was rejected by companies, as my CV did not “match” with the required profile of the person who needed the advertised job.

I remember getting over 20 quite cold rejections during one week, but that didn’t discourage me from continuing to compete to find my place under the sun in the promised Deutschland (Germany)!

It was a very ordinary Thursday afternoon, I was walking down the streets of Belgrade and I noticed a kind old lady selling woolen gloves that she made.

The lady radiated positive energy and was very kind, lovely and smiling. On one box that was covered with fine velvet in wonderful navy blue color were on display some gloves. One bright red gloves stood out in particular. They were beautiful, but a little small for my hands, I don’t even know what force “pulled” me to buy them, but I did it!

I was happy for one such little thing, but my day was “saved” with one pair of perfect red gloves. At one point, I felt the vibration of the phone, which means receiving a new e-mail, because I did not want to spoil my “five minutes of happiness”, I decided to leave reading the e-mail for later when I come back to reality.

That day, one red glove brought me immense happiness and a change in my life that I will remember, today these beautiful navy blue Restelli gloves made of the finest leather protected my hands from dandruff caused by the cold wind that dries my hands with incredible speed.

I can say that these navy blue gloves also brought me happiness because they arrived early this morning and with them also some new good news that I will share with you soon when the time is right. It seems that gloves have become symbols of great life changes for me, maybe that’s why I adore these fashion accessories so much.

Life is unpredictable and full of surprises that can be positive or negative. I belong to a group of people who believe in the balance of life, so that life is made up of beautiful and those less beautiful moments that shape us and in that way we mature as individuals with all our virtues and flaws at the same time.

I always have an interesting question that I want to share with you, but I just managed to remind myself and ask you: “Do you believe in miracles?“

Do miracles really exist or are they just beliefs? Honestly, I believe in miracles, but I do not rely too much on the factor of happiness. I always try to do everything in my power, and only then can I admit to myself that I did everything that was up to me and let myself wait for the good news. How do you think, what kind of energy do you invoke and radiate, so in the end you will get the results…

My today’s outfit helped me to bring a smile to the faces of passers-by. Some recognized me and finally listened to my advice from the blog to approach and get to know each other. One girl who has been following my blog regularly for almost three years asked me to take a quick photo and also took a selfie with my cheerful red scarf. Looks like it was the star of the day!

In addition to irresistible details like a scarf and a turtleneck sweater, I had another interesting red detail that you had the opportunity to see in previous fashion stories on the blog – the red watch!

This interesting red watch, in addition to faithfully showing the time, is also a real little work of art that can adorn everyone’s hand. My new friend Jaguar is from the special collection “Kingdom“. This watch is handmade in faraway Canada in the main workshop of Ematelier, a brand behind which stands a passionate watch lover, founder Alex Landa.

All “soft” knit fashion details are a gift from my dear friends from Scotland – Johnstons of Elgin. You had the opportunity to see this rollneck sweater on the streets of Berlin in one of the posts at the end of last year, but the scarf is a new detail that represents the famous Scottish print for which this exceptional country is famous.

In addition to warm sweaters, during the winter we all hang out with jackets or shearling jackets, depending on personal preferences. This time I decided to complete my outfit with the leather shearling jacket that I have had in my wardrobe for years, and every time I see it in the closet, I admire how some things just don’t change over time.

I believe that this has been an extremely difficult year for all of us and that we can hardly wait to turn some new pages in our diaries of life.

December is a symbol of happiness and joy because that period is reserved for the preparation for the celebration of holidays and with an open heart, we welcome the new year and secretly hope that some of our wishes will come true.

In today’s post, I present Mr. Morris to you again, he has now become a part of the blog and a living being, since you have seen him maybe more than me this season, and that is why he deserves an honorable place. Fashion Diary: November, the month of fashion and new ideas…

My dear fashionistas welcome to another fashion adventure on the Mr.M blog. I sincerely hope you are well, healthy and safe surrounded by loved ones. This year has certainly marked our lives and we will surely remember it after the pandemic and the world crisis. I don’t think there is an industry that hasn’t felt some kind of crisis, so it is in the fashion industry, which is a big challenge for fashion brands and designers as well.

During the pandemic, the fashion industry makes great efforts to maintain a perfect balance of production and concentration of purchasing power. The current volume of production may have been reduced, but believe me, the love for fashion has remained absolutely has not changed at all.

How will I remember Autumn – Winter 2020? Honestly, I am happiest that, thank God, I am healthy and that I had the opportunity to share my love for fashion with my readers. I regularly receive emails and messages on social networks from my dear readers with similar question, and that is: “When will your new travelogues start?”.

I really can’t honestly give you the answer to that question because I really don’t know how the health situation will unfold and how it will affect travel in the future. Believe me, that famous thought passes through my mind at least once every day: “When will everything return to the old like before as used to be?”. It is no longer a problem with borders and the fact that there is no travel, but this “world quarantine” and constant changes in the law have begun to affect people’s mental health.

When I wonder why I am not able to go somewhere, I sincerely thank God after a few seconds that I am healthy and that I have the opportunity to rest and relax with my family in one place. Travel is a wonderful thing and for me it will always be a kind of non-formal education, but health and family will always be in the first place for me and it is something that has no price.

In today’s post, we’re hanging out again with my favorite fashion piece this season, I believe you’ve all remembered his name so far – Morris. To be honest, I don’t know which fashion piece I liked and repeated on the blog during one season, but with this jacket it’s different.

If you remember that special story of mine from the first fashion post about the Italian brand from Verona, the MooRER brand will remember how I wrote that this jacket fulfilled my unfulfilled dreams from Prague from a couple of years ago. Today, this cold November Tuesday, I am sharing with you another fashion story from the streets of Berlin. November is sometimes really the last month of the year when we can take advantage of the weather and walk some of our favorite fashion pieces that occupy a special place in our closets. In my case, it would certainly be – a Trench Coat!

In the previous post, you had the opportunity to see a navy blue trench coat, but today I will show you a honey-colored trench coat, which is one of the most famous and best-selling colours of the fashion house Burberry.

I remember when I got my first Burberry coat which I still keep today, but if someone had told me I would get a similar coat few years later, I really couldn’t believe it.

In addition to this favorite piece of mine that has refreshed my fall wardrobe for this and next seasons to come, I am also looking forward to some new unexpected details that have enriched my outfit today.

The watch is known as the best fashion accessory for every man. There is a quote: “Show me what kind of watch you wear and I’ll tell you who you are.” Every man determines his style, and fashion accessories are the ones that determine the direction in which that style will develop.

A wristwatch is much more than just a time indicator. A watch is a piece of art that adorns the hand of every man and woman and depicts the personality of the person wearing it. When buying a watch, the most important thing is to forget about trends and find yourself and stay consistent with yourself and your style.

Today I decided to show you a new watch in my collection – Epos Originale 3420 SK – an elegant automatic skeleton watch in an extremely thin edition.

The Epos company was founded in 1925 when Mr. James Aubert founded his own watch factory “James Aubert SA” in Vallée de Joux, a valley in the Jura Mountains that many consider to be the “cradle” of mechanical watches and is located in the Swiss canton of Vaud (Waadt).

Mr. Aubert was a passionate mechanical watch engineer, who dedicated his life to the development of new watch mechanisms. He was a top master of his craft and spent most of his efforts focusing on the technical development of chronographs and minute tutors.

He passed on his true love for watches and his knowledge to his son-in-law, Jean Filion, who then became the leading manufacturer of EPOS watches for many years. Mr. Filion has continued the tradition and made great strides in the innovations that have made this brand so unique in the market.

In the early 1980s, the success story of the traditional Swiss watch stagnated. New quartz technology has radically changed the true face of the watch industry. There were almost no brands that wanted to produce classic mechanical watches, with the exception of a few luxury watch brands.

Peter Hofer, a longtime expert in Swiss watch production, was one of the few who still believed in the future of mechanical watches. Believing in this vision, his wife Erna, as the biggest support, decided to found their own company in 1983: Montres EPOS SA.

Their only property was exclusively a passion for mechanical watches and all the necessary technical knowledge to create mechanical masterpieces.

Personal contacts with key people in the Swiss watch industry, as well as extensive knowledge of the global watch market, have enabled Peter Hofer to successfully develop his own brand. From the very beginning, Hofer was supported by Jean Fillon, who was the driving force behind many interesting EPOS innovations.

During 20 years of his work, Hofer has remained true to his vision, developing stunning collections that include fascinating mechanisms in collaboration with Mr. Fillon.

In the early 2000s, Peter Hofer sought successors who shared his indescribable passion for mechanical watches.

New business partners in EPOS are the Chonge-Forster family, a family with deep roots in the Swiss watch industry: Ursula Forster, who became the new president of the company, comes from a family with a long and rich tradition in the production of Swiss watches. Her husband, Tamdy, who has taken over as CEO, has been working in the top positions in the Swiss watch industry for many years.

Together, they took over the company from Mr. Peter Hofer in 2002 and have since developed the EPOS brand, expanding their product portfolio and expanding internationally. Building on the long legacy and knowledge selflessly invested in the company, they have always focused on creating highly sophisticated mechanical masterpieces at affordable prices, remaining true to the company’s slogan: Art in the watchmaking world.

After this interesting story about time and tradition in Switzerland, where time is highly valued, we move briefly to the most famous cradle of fashion – Italy.

There is no person in the world who cannot hide his joy when he smells the new Italian skin. Today I present to you the most famous workshop that creates real small leather masterpieces. Welcome to the Restelli workshop where the art, tradition and beauty of handicrafts meet.

Now let’s all imagine this picture together: “Milan, 1920 and a glove shop near the Duomo”. At the same time, they made personalized gloves in according to the wishes and tastes of each customer.

At that time, gloves were a symbol of elegance and sophistication, an irreplaceable fashion accessory for all occasions. Piero Restelli soon realized that his passion, handwork with the best and most precious types of leather and deep respect for craft production were just the beginning of a long successful journey that would reshape the glove industry.

The factory was founded with its own leather reserves, which played a very important role in the leather processing process, over time production began to increase. The success of this small family company goes further and takes us to the early 50s when Piero Restelli Jr. and his wife, young and determined, presented their special collection of sportswear…

Soon, on the streets of Milan and throughout Italy, waterproof gloves made of the highest quality peccary leather covered with warm opossum fur became a symbol of the Italian “Jet Set” of high society and Restelli became a world-famous brand.

Making gloves is not only a job but also a real art. Passion, emotions, tradition and knowledge have been passed on to the third generation after 100 years! Rafaela Restelli has fully accepted the challenges of the new fashion era in which the market and the way of selling have changed with deep respect and belief in tradition and love for beautiful masterpieces that last!

Restelli gloves are not valued with money, but with a tradition and history full of love and patience that have no price.

I believe that today we have all recognized something beautiful in these stories, and that is respect for and preservation of tradition, following innovations in step with the times and dedication that has no price.

Work, effort and discipline are the three basic things that are needed to maintain in any business. Of course, there are also those moments when happiness, belief in one’s work and dedication play an important role.

The COVID-19 health situation brought difficulties to everyone, the world stopped and just started to develop and return to normal, but the new wave that started in Europe during October 2020 resulted in another wave that affects the development and survival of many industries.

In Germany, the economy began to recover, but with this renewed “quarantine” many people lost their jobs. Some world experts believe that the damage caused by the Corona virus will be significantly greater because many people have lost their jobs and many companies have closed their doors. Do you know how many families were left without income?

Picard, a brand that you have had the opportunity to see on my blog for years, are the famous leather backpacks that kept me company on my travels around the world. My new Picard buddy, we can call him Relaxed We decided to keep each other company on the streets of Berlin while we wait for this health situation to calm down and wait for better days to continue our traveling adventures.

My dear fashionistas, how are you today? I sincerely hope that you are well and that you are protected from this health catastrophe that started a new winter “wave”. All over Europe, the situation is alarming and we need to take care of ourselves and our loved ones.

Each of us must continue to work, but we must do our best to adjust our work and daily life in accordance with the current health situation. Since I have to do my job, I try to take pictures at a time when there are not many people on the streets and to avoid indoors for taking photos.

I appeal once again that it is necessary to take new precautionary measures and try to stay healthy and make our environment a better place. In previous posts, you had the opportunity to see me in a winter jacket, many of you sent me numerous messages asking where is my famous Mr.M symbol, a fashion piece without which autumn cannot pass on Mr.M’s blog – the trench coat.

I will dedicate the first November fashion story to my favorite fashion piece by which I became recognizable. The trenchcoat is a piece of clothing that has become a legendary fashion piece of the wardrobe of women and men around the world. The famous Burberry double-breasted coats are made of gabardine. Gabardine is a fine fabric made of combed wool or cotton. Woolen fabric is used for coats, suits and women’s dresses, while cotton is used to make light dresses and cotton is lined with rubber which is used to make raincoats.

Burberry trench coats have an insulated lining, classic or raglan sleeves. Classic versions of the Burberry trench coat can be found in different lengths, from just above the joints (the longest version) to above the middle of the thigh (the shortest). These coats were originally a garment for army officers, the coat model itself was developed before the war, but during the war it was adapted for use in the trenches of the First World War, after which they got their name – Trench Coat!

Traditionally, double-breasted trench coats are buttoned with 10 front buttons and have wide lapels, a “storm” flap and pockets that close with the buttons. Each double-breasted trench coat has a belt around the waist, as well as belts around the joints that can also be fastened. Have you ever wondered why coats have straps on the sleeves above the wrist?

During the war, these belts were practical to keep water from flowing through the forearm when officers used binoculars during the rain. The trench coat often has “shoulder straps” that close and these were functional characteristics in a military context. The traditional color of the coat was “khaki”, a light shade of yellow-brown. Today, newer versions come in many interesting colors.

Trenches remained in trend for decades after the First and Second World Wars. Their original role as a striking part of a military officer’s uniform provided the coat with a new, more elegant business note, although many prefer to tie a belt instead of using a buckle to project a more casual look than a strict military uniform.

In the 1960s, intellectuals wore trench coats over black roll neck sweaters, while some people wore coats as fashion details, as an elegant alternative to jackets.

Double-breasted trenches and coats have become an integral part of our everyday life and there really is no person in the world who does not have a double-breasted trench or coat in the wardrobe, regardless of the brand, a double breasted coat is a iconic fashion piece that never goes out of fashion.

My love for coats is due to my grandfather and father, who were great collectors of trenches and coats as well. My grandfather and father saved a part of their fashion paradise for me as well, and my father gave me my first Burberry trench coat almost 13 years ago, which I still jealously guard and wear today.

These are some of our family rituals, so we passed on our “male” love for coats to our dear ladies in the family. My mother as one of them was not a fan of this piece in the beginning, but with our influence, these fashion treats were also found in her wardrobe.

I have noticed that many people confuse the terms “trench coat” and “coat”. The trench coat is “thinner” and it is worn in the transitional seasons – spring and autumn, when we need protection from unexpected rain and windy weather, and we do not want to wear some heavy and warmer pieces.

A coat is a slightly more “serious” fashion piece for winter time, made of a thicker material, most often wool, cashmere or a combination of these two materials. There are other more exotic materials, but they are less often used due to the high costs of making and processing these materials, the best example is Vicuna shiny llama hair, which is exceptional and rare, but very expensive. A sweater made of Vicuna costs several thousand euros…

When we talk about wool, their fibers consist of several layers. Wool retains heat well and is often used to make sweaters and comfortable winter clothes such as coats, jackets, scarves and gloves. What all belongs to the wool fiber family? These are cashmere, angora, merino wool, lamb wool and mohair.

In today’s post, I wanted to show you an everyday, casual and relaxed fashion combination where one elegant piece, such as a trench coat, can be combined with jeans and sneakers. Also, this time I took the opportunity to show you a red roll neck sweater from my friends from Scotland, Johnstons of Elgin, which you saw in a more elegant edition in one of the previous posts.

Navy – red combination is always refreshing and proved to be the best fashion tandem where we have navy blue, which is a symbol of elegance, while red rejuvenates and refreshes a person. Red indicates a new beginning and brings a certain dose of joy.
