Envision mi incuriosisce molto: il connubio tra design italiano e movimento svizzero Sellita è una formula che rispetto, perché unisce gusto e affidabilità. Il quadrante rosso rubino con finitura sunray cattura la luce in modo splendido nelle tue foto. Mi chiedo quale sia il diametro della cassa del Prisma, perché cerco un orologio dal profilo contenuto che stia bene anche sotto il polsino di una camicia. Die Bomberjacke aus schwarzem Nappa-Lammleder finde ich besonders gelungen, gerade wegen des gerippten Kragens und der Bündchen, die der Form Halt geben. Mich würde interessieren, ob Mercader eher klein oder groß ausfällt, denn ich überlege, ein Stück über Zalando zu bestellen. Dass Luis Mercader aus der Maßschneiderei kommt, merkt man dem Schnitt sofort an. Schwarz steht Ihnen ausgezeichnet, und die ruhige Farbgebung lässt die Details der einzelnen Stücke erst richtig wirken.
Hola Marko, como español me alegra muchísimo ver a Mercader presentado con tanto cuidado fuera de nuestras fronteras. Luis Mercader lleva más de veinte años en la alta moda y se nota en la limpieza de las líneas y en la apuesta por las formas geométricas. La camisa oversize a rayas con cuello bowling me parece la pieza más atrevida del conjunto, y aun así la llevas con total naturalidad. ¿Crees que esa camisa funcionaría también para un hombre de complexión más ancha, o pierde su gracia fuera del corte oversize? Marko, I have to thank you, because it was your earlier piece on Loro Piana in Prague that finally convinced me to stop chasing logos and invest in quiet, well-made clothing instead. Bonjour Marko, votre regard sur les jeunes maisons reste l’une des raisons pour lesquelles je vous lis depuis des années. Mercader m’était totalement inconnu, et l’idée d’une mode sans saison ni genre, pensée autour de la géométrie, a quelque chose de très contemporain. La veste bomber en cuir d’agneau Nappa est magnifique, mais je me demande comment elle se comporte sous la pluie, car le cuir d’agneau reste fragile. Le pantalon à taille haute, en revanche, donne une silhouette que j’apprécie énormément. Auriez-vous un conseil pour l’associer à une chaussure plus classique qu’une basket?
Hallo Marko, weer een ontdekking waar ik nog nooit van had gehoord. Wat Mercader doet met geometrische vormen en hoogwaardige stoffen spreekt me erg aan, zeker omdat het merk inzet op tijdloosheid in plaats van trends. De zwarte Nappa-leren bomber staat je werkelijk uitstekend, en de rode wijzerplaat van het Envision-horloge geeft net dat accent dat het geheel nodig heeft. Weet jij of Mercader ook buiten Zalando naar Nederland verzendt? Ik zou graag eens iets rechtstreeks uit hun eigen webshop bestellen.

I’ve owned a couple of Swiss microbrand pieces over the years, and a Sellita automatic in a properly finished 316L steel case is exactly the kind of honest value I look for. The prismatic-cut sapphire crystal is a clever touch, and the sunray ruby dial photographs wonderfully against your black outfit. Do you happen to know the case diameter, and whether the integrated bracelet links can be removed easily for sizing? I’d hate to fall for it and then find it sits awkwardly on a slimmer wrist.

Fiquei especialmente curioso ao ler que Luis Mercader viveu entre Nova Iorque, São Paulo, Lisboa e Madrid, porque sou de Lisboa e gosto de saber que a cidade fez parte do percurso de um criador assim. A filosofia de uma moda sem género e sem estação parece-me cada vez mais atual, sobretudo quando assenta em alfaiataria a sério. O casaco bomber em pele de cordeiro tem um aspeto soberbo nas fotografias. Sabes se a marca tem presença física fora de Madrid, ou por enquanto só existe a loja híbrida?

Die Verbindung von spanischem Mercader und italienischem Envision in einem einzigen Beitrag ist klug gewählt, weil beide Marken denselben Anspruch teilen: zeitlose Qualität statt schneller Trends. Besonders gefällt mir, dass Envision das Sellita-Werk in der Schweiz veredeln lässt und damit auf bewährte Technik setzt. Das Outfit wirkt geschlossen und durchdacht, vom Lederblouson bis zur Hose. Sapere che Alessandro Bambini ha fondato il marchio a Modena, terra di motori e di eccellenza manifatturiera, rende il progetto ancora più affascinante. Il Prisma Ruby Red ha un quadrante che, dalle tue foto, sembra cambiare a seconda della luce grazie alla finitura sunray. Tra le quattro varianti, secondo te quale si abbina meglio a un guardaroba sobrio e prevalentemente scuro come il mio? Sono indeciso tra lo Space Gray e il Sapphire Blue.
Hello Marko, this is one of those posts that sends me straight to a brand’s website, and Mercader did not disappoint. I love that the trousers are a genuine high-rise cut, so few labels make a proper high waistband anymore, and it changes the whole proportion of an outfit. You mention you’d even wear them with a tuxedo; I’m curious how you’d dress them down for daytime without losing that retro elegance. Las gafas Zaha 2, con la montura de aviador y las lentes de tono amarillo, me parecen el detalle más original de todo el conjunto. ¿Sabes si esas gafas se pueden graduar, o de momento solo existen como gafas de sol? J’apprécie particulièrement que vous mettiez en avant une maison espagnole qui assume une mode sans genre et sans saison, car c’est une vision que peu de marques osent porter aussi clairement. Le travail sur les formes géométriques se ressent jusque dans les baskets Triangle, dont le motif et la semelle blanche tranchent avec le reste du noir. Mercader ze swoim podejściem ponadczasowym i ponadsezonowym bardzo do mnie przemawia, bo od lat staram się kupować rzadziej, ale lepiej. Skórzana kurtka bomber z jagnięcej nappy wygląda znakomicie, zwłaszcza ze ściągaczem przy kołnierzu i mankietach. The Envision Prisma strikes me as remarkably well specified for a young Italian house — a Sellita movement, sapphire crystal and an integrated bracelet are not things one takes for granted at this level. Hoi Marko, wat een verfrissend verhaal om de zomer mee in te gaan. De combinatie van een Spaans modehuis en een Italiaans horlogemerk in één post werkt verrassend goed, juist omdat beide draaien om vakmanschap in plaats van hypes. Mercader m’a immédiatement séduite par cette idée de réinterprétation des classiques, loin du tapage habituel. Olá Marko, mais uma vez trazes uma marca que vale a pena conhecer. A Envision interessa-me bastante, sobretudo por nascer em Modena e confiar a parte mecânica à relojoaria suíça com um movimento Sellita. O Prisma Ruby Red tem um vermelho intenso que contrasta lindamente com o teu visual todo preto. Disseste que vais apresentar em breve o Sapphire Blue esse é o que mais me atrai pela versatilidade. Achas que o azul fica melhor com tons frios, ou é suficientemente discreto para combinar com tudo?

Marko, there’s a quiet intelligence to this brand that I appreciate. Naming a pair of sunglasses “Zaha” can hardly be an accident it reads as a nod to Zaha Hadid, and once you see it, Mercader’s obsession with geometry and fluid form makes complete sense across the whole collection, from the triangular sneaker pattern to the architectural cut of the trousers. Diriez-vous que ce cuir d’agneau Nappa convient à un usage urbain quotidien, ou le réservez-vous plutôt aux sorties soignées ? J’hésite justement à investir dans un blouson de ce type pour la mi-saison.
Hallo Marko, wat een mooi en doordacht artikel om de zomer mee te openen. Het idee van Mercader, kleding zonder seizoen, zonder geslacht, zonder trend vind ik oprecht moedig en bovendien duurzamer dan de meeste merken durven te zijn. Het overhemd met kleurblokken en de bowlingkraag is gewaagd, maar je draagt het met een vanzelfsprekende elegantie. De rode wijzerplaat van de Envision is precies het accent dat de hele zwarte look laat ademen. Bedankt voor deze ontdekking.
Hello Marko, I took your advice from a previous post and have started buying fewer, better things, so a brand like Mercader is right up my street. I see the shirt and the Triangle sneakers are both available through Zalando, which makes trying the brand far less daunting than ordering blind from abroad. Before I commit, though, I’d love to know how Mercader’s sizing compares to, say, a standard Italian or Spanish label, do you size up in the oversize pieces or stay true to size? Ciao Marko, complimenti per questa accoppiata di marchi davvero ben scelta. Da modenese mi riempie d’orgoglio vedere Envision raccontato con tanta attenzione, perché Alessandro Bambini sta facendo qualcosa di serio nella nostra città. Il Prisma, con cassa in acciaio 316L e cristallo zaffiro dalla particolare sfaccettatura prismatica, ha un carattere tutto suo. Sai dirmi se esiste in una misura di cassa più contenuta, diciamo sotto i quaranta millimetri, perché ho il polso piuttosto sottile? Ti seguo sempre con piacere.
Marko, dziękuję za kolejny inspirujący wpis o markach, które naprawdę mają coś do powiedzenia. Filozofia Mercadera, oparta na geometrii i szlachetnych tkaninach zamiast na chwilowych trendach, bardzo odpowiada mojemu podejściu do garderoby. Zegarek Envision ze szwajcarskim mechanizmem Sellita i szafirowym szkłem to dla mnie idealne połączenie włoskiego designu z precyzją. Lieber Marko, dass Sie eine spanische und eine italienische Marke in einer einzigen Geschichte vereinen, zeigt einmal mehr Ihr feines Gespür. Die Envision Prisma überzeugt mich technisch, vor allem das Sellita-Werk mit 28.800 Halbschwingungen pro Stunde und die solide Verarbeitung. Mich würde interessieren, ob die Uhr alltagstauglich wasserdicht ist, also etwa beim Händewaschen oder bei leichtem Regen. Die rubinrote Variante ist ein Wagnis, das in Kombination mit dem schwarzen Outfit aber bestens aufgeht. Beste Grüße aus München.

Como amante de la sastrería me fascina que Luis Mercader haya trasladado su experiencia en la confección a medida al prêt-à-porter sin perder un ápice de oficio. La reinterpretación de los clásicos que defiende la marca se aprecia en cada pieza, desde el cuello bowling de la camisa hasta el corte del pantalón. Llevar todo el conjunto en negro y dejar que el reloj sea el único color es una decisión muy elegante. Un abrazo y sigue así.
Bonjour Marko, voilà exactement le genre de découverte qui me pousse à revenir sur votre blog. L’approche durable et consciente revendiquée par Mercader me touche, d’autant qu’elle s’appuie sur un vrai savoir-faire artisanal plutôt que sur des slogans. J’aime beaucoup la veste bomber, mais je me demande si son logo sur le devant reste discret en personne ou s’il attire trop l’œil. Pourriez-vous décrire la taille et le rendu de ce logo? Je préfère les pièces sobres et je tiens à m’en assurer avant tout achat.

A ideia de uma marca que cria peças intemporais, para usar com elegância no dia a dia durante muitos anos, é precisamente o que procuro nesta fase da vida.
