My dear fashionistas, I hope you are well and ready for a new fashion adventure from Qatar. The Middle East is an inspiration for fashion stories because of its unique oriental character that adorns it. That’s why I decided to show you a new watch from the elegant and refined Etrier line of the famous jeweler from Luxembourg – Schroeder Joailliers 1877.

Schroeder Joailliers was founded back in 1877, the official supplier of the Grand Ducal Court, which has a long family tradition behind it. In addition to its main jewelry store located in the heart of Luxembourg, this jewelry house also has its jewelry and watch workshop in Paris.

The pictures for today’s fashion story were created in the capital of the State of Qatar – Doha. At the very beginning, I would like to thank the Visit Qatar for the warm invitation and hospitality. With their help, the travelogues and fashion stories that you had the opportunity to read this season were created, and I sincerely hope that you enjoyed them.

The story of Schroeder jewelry began back in 1860 when Mr. Lambert Schroeder left his hometown of Luxembourg to continue his training in London and the United States. A few years later when he returned to Luxembourg in 1877, he opened his goldsmith’s shop, in the same place where you can still find the Schroeder jewelry house today. Mr. Lambert Schroeder, in addition to being a skilled trader, translated his creativity and passion into the core values of the work policy of the Schroeder jewelry company. He had a great passion for making quality gold jewelry and was an ambitious innovator significantly ahead of his time.

His only son, Ferdi Schroeder, learned the engraver’s trade in Paris and took over the company with the difficult task of running it during the two world wars. His great skill in his art earned him the prestigious title of chief supplier to the court, which the Schroeder jewelry house still holds today. During 1979, the company was joined by Pierre Rossi, Lambert Schroeder’s grandson and current director of Schroeder Jewelry. Under his leadership, Schroeder jewelry expanded internationally by deploying to various markets and participating in various exhibitions and fairs on five continents.

The family tradition continues, so that at the head of the Schroeder jewelry company, in addition to Mr. Pierre Rossi and his wife, their daughters Anni and Sophie were also involved in making business decisions.

Dear Marko, this is a fantastic outfit! Everything is fine and dandy, but the watch is truly a dream come true! I have never seen a more beautiful and elegant watch, you proved that such an expensive watch does not have to be worn exclusively with a suit and that it is possible with a relaxed and elegant summer outfit on the beach.

Hi Marko, what a stunning piece to feature from Doha. A hand-skeletonized, hand-engraved Etrier built on the Valjoux 7750 base is genuinely the work of art your title promises. I love that you can watch the mechanism breathe through the openworked dial, with those blued screws catching the light. I wear an Oris Artelier Skeleton myself, but the engraving here looks far more artisanal. Do you find a skeleton dial harder to read at a glance in bright sunlight, especially against the brightness of the Gulf?

Marko, a beautifully composed story from the Gulf. I bought a Loro Piana cotton shirt after one of your earlier reviews, and it remains the most comfortable piece I own for warm weather. The crisp white shirt here looks perfect for Doha’s climate, and pairing it with the skeletonized Schroeder adds real horological gravitas. I admire that you treat a jeweller’s house watch with the same seriousness as the famous Swiss names. The whole look feels effortlessly suited to the elegance of the Marsa Malaz Kempinski.

Hi Marko, a thoroughly engrossing read for any watch lover. The technical details delight me: a self-winding 13¼-ligne movement on the 7750 base, hand-skeletonized with 25 rubies and blued screws. That is a serious amount of handwork for a watch from a jeweller rather than a dedicated manufacture. I own a Longines chronograph with an L688 movement, but the openworked artistry here is on another plane. Could you tell me whether the engraving is visible through a display caseback as well, or only across the dial?

Marko, this is exactly the kind of watch writing I enjoy on a quiet evening. The Schroeder Etrier skeleton proves that a family jeweller can deliver genuine mechanical artistry, not just a pretty dial. The 7750 base means it is both serviceable and robust, which matters for a watch meant to last decades. I admire how you photographed it against the refined backdrop of Doha. Pairing such a complication with relaxed Aurélien linen trousers makes high horology feel wonderfully wearable.

Hi Marko, a refined and detailed post that any enthusiast will appreciate. The hand-engraving and skeleton work on the Etrier elevate a familiar 7750 base into something truly special. I currently wear a Frederique Constant Slimline, but an openworked automatic has always been on my wish list. The blued screws are the kind of detail that separates a thoughtful watch from an ordinary one. Could you tell me whether Schroeder offers this skeleton model with a metal bracelet as well, or only on the brown calfskin strap?

Hai unito artigianato italiano e arte orologiera in modo magistrale.

Marko, a genuinely captivating read. The Schroeder Etrier skeleton stands out because seeing a hand-engraved movement in motion is one of the great pleasures of watch collecting. I wear a Tudor with an in-house calibre, but I have always been drawn to openworked dials for their transparency, quite literally. The fact that it rests on the proven 7750 architecture reassures me about its longevity. Set against the modern skyline of Doha, the whole image feels both timeless and contemporary.

Hi Marko, a beautifully judged summer story from the Gulf. The crisp white Loro Piana cotton shirt is the ideal canvas for a statement piece like this skeletonized Etrier. I appreciate that you let the watch take centre stage rather than overloading the outfit with accessories. The warm tones of Doha make the silver case and brown strap glow wonderfully in your photographs. It is a masterclass in pairing serious horology with relaxed, breathable summer dressing.

Marko, a fitting close to your Qatari adventure. The Etrier, with its hand-skeletonized 7750-based movement and blued screws, truly earns the description of wearable art. Knowing it comes from a fifth-generation Luxembourg maison with a Paris workshop only deepens its appeal for me. I have long admired family-run houses that quietly produce remarkable pieces away from the marketing spotlight. Could you tell me whether Schroeder ships these Etrier watches internationally, or are they mainly available through their Luxembourg maison?
